Gov. Gavin Newsom just gave Californians more regulations for an early Christmas present — and anyone hoping to celebrate the holidays with family better hope there’s a gift receipt. Just in time for the Thanksgiving and Christmas festivities, when most families gather with loved ones, California’s Democrat governor has issued a new set of regulations that bans gatherings of more than three households. Additionally, no indoor gatherings are permitted, so don’t plan on eating around the dining room table unless you lug it out into your backyard. Newsom’s ban on gatherings of more than three households means that a family

California didn’t. Gavin Newsom did. His latest tinpot dictum has made him a laughingstock among Californians.

This is utter nonsense. For what purpose? If Californians allow their government to dictate what happens inside the walls of their own homes, they are stupid sheep. Can you imagine what would happen if someone in government tried to tell LGBT people who they could and could not have sex with? Or maybe that's next, but only for straight married couples???

Since we will never be 'rid of' the Chinese virus, anymore than we are 'rid of' the common cold or the flu, these edicts will NEVER be lifted !!
Feel better now ?
These are edicts from a power hungry ( mad ? ) wanna-be dictator. They ARE NOT laws. Unless I'm totally wrong ( wouldn't be the first time ! ) there is no statute that you can charged with violating, ergo, someone needs to tell this idiot and his minions to stuff it !!!!
If we don't start fighting this thing tooth and nail, we'll be wearing masks and eating alone under a tree out back and unable to intteract with ANYONE for the rest of our lives. Remember how 9/11 'changed' a lot of how we behaved ? This is no different !

I am all for wearing masks when going to public places, but I guarantee if we were Californians, we would be breaking most of these rules----without remorse. The part I really dislike is having to write down the names of the people attending the gathering. That is a downright threat.

California does not report recovered numbers, which we know nearly all do recover. Most within 5-10 days.
They do break it down by ethnicity, however, and include cases and deaths.
Far too many people think when they report there are 884,832 cases in California, as example that that many people are infected today, when that is a number who've been infected since January.
California reports 3,077 hospitalized, but that is not necessarily only COVID patients, but all people who are hospitalized.
They don't want you to know that of 39,500,000 people in California, the infection rate is 2.2%, or 2.46% nationally.
They are afraid people will get too complacent and it will get out of control again.
However, lack of actual, factual, information is likely worse and will prevent people from believing the government in the future. We all remember "the boy who cried wolf".

I don't know a n y o n e, even die hard Dems who are planning to follow this. It's all so ridiculous. We are handling our holidays as usual, indoors with an open door to family and friends that would like to join in. ( Of course if someone is sick they will stay home, as they usually would.)
Onward and upward!

OK. I'm still waiting for the "authorities" to do contact tracing and quarantines on gay folks who have AIDS. When will it be treated as a medical issue, instead of a political one? More people die every year from the flu than have died from COVID. What is all the fear and hysteria about? I think we know.

There is an up side to this. All of Gavin’s dictatorial moves affect the Democrats, too, including those who are nowhere near as far Left as he. And then there are the 30%of the voters who register No Party Preference. And of course the 25% or so who are Republicans, and the rest who are minority party registrants. Democrats - all of them - represent only 46% of the registered voters. Not even a simple majority. Every dumb thing he puts out hammers another nail in his coffin.
And our family will be together for Thanksgiving. At our home. From a few more than 3 households. We’ll keep the chanting down and the shades drawn.

My family gathered for Easter at the height of the pandemic, breaking every one of the local regulations in Virginia. There were even a newborn and two toddlers in the mix and guess what? No one got sick! Glad that I don’t live in CA but if I did we would ignore the dicktator governor.

How does he plan to enforce this? People can do what they want in their private homes, can't they? Will the sheeple of California go along with this?

Just set out a donation jar for BLM, and have some signs advocating defunding the cops or talking about some kind of "justice", and you will then have a state sanctioned "peaceful protest" that is immune to all viruses.
Kidding aside, where does this aspiring tin-pot dictator get his authority to do this?

Hi #10. What if he puts a $10,000 per head fine on it? Or, sentences home owners to 10-20 years in prison? Or, worst case, gives the SWAT shoot to kill orders?

I wonder if the people living in CA have the noticed people living in Republican States do not have those kind of regulations! One would think if you have noticed, the Election on October 3rd would be a RED Landslide in CA! I would think you would vote REPUBLICAN from now on so that you can, once again, live in a very beautiful State without feeling like you are living in North Korea!

I live in SoCal and have for many, many years. This little fascist in Sacramento can stick it where the sun doesn't shine. We will continue to celebrate all the holidays exactly the same way we have for years with all the family around the table, indoors and enjoying ourselves. I don't know who this schmuck thinks he is but he's not going to tell us how we're going conduct our lives on our own property. Keep a list of names...oh, my, what a hoot. NO.

Aren't dems pro-choice? I'd choose to subject my body (it's my body, to treat as I wish) to whatever showed up at the family gathering. Fortunately, I live in Louisiana and while we have a Democrat dictator in the statehouse, most people that I know ignore him.
