As the Senate moves forward on the president's Supreme Court pick, both former Vice President Joe Biden and his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, continue to deflect when asked if they would try to add more justices to the nation's highest court, a practice known as court packing. Biden and his party face increasing pressure because of the frustration of many progressives at the Republican effort to rush through a replacement for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a longtime liberal icon, with Amy Coney Barrett just before the Nov. 3 election. Because the addition of Barrett is expected to create a

Biden seems firm and the media won't challenge him on this issue. Instead of asking him, will you pack the court, how about asking him a more probing question: please analyse the pros and cons of packing the court. Give us both sides. (Answer requires critical thinking... ahem!).

There's a critical point that all of these politicians, but especially democrats, seem to forget...they work for us, we pay them. So here we have Biden essentially going on a job interview and refusing to tell his prospect bosses how he would operate if hired. Only in the twisted world of politics could this be an acceptable tactic.

He says if I answer the question, it will be front page news. Not if you leave the number of justices at 9 !! That tells you he plans to pack the court.

One wonders whether "we" understand what packing the court entails and ultimately means. This issue, like others in the Dem universe, is so far beyond the traditional pale, it ought to be laughed off the national stage. How does it persist? My guess is the polls show it as a negligible issue. Vox populi, vox bovine.

Biden's latest (lame) excuse is he won't answer the court packing question until after the election because it will shift focus off important issues. "Come on, man!" Possible court packing is one of the most important issues! A few days ago his (equally lame) excuse was that saying "yes" or "no" will make headlines. What (insulting our intelligence) BS. Each time he refuses to say "yes" or "no" makes more news. Prediction: The most he'll say is (1) It's a hypothetical question; (2) that he's un-decided, and (3) The court packing "option" will remain on the table. AOC and the "Bernie Bros" will not be pleased. They fear that leftist voters will "stay home" unless he says, loud and clear, he plans to pack the court.

If a governor or mayor can cancel First Amendment rights by declaring an emergency and extend the duration of the emergency as long as they please without even bothering to legislate a law and the Supreme Court will not stand for our rights, then we are doomed to live out our time in this world as servants of the state. Even without "packing", the Court has remained silent regarding the rampant abuse of the First Amendment by potentate governors and mayors all over the country. If only the governors and mayors would force people to pray, then we'd see the court spring into action!
This is only a preview of the abuses yet to come. Look for the Dems to declare vast restrictions on every facet of our lives using the "Emergency Climate Change Crisis" and "Emergency Racial Inequality Crisis" as justifications. Look for a packed court to remain silent or judicially legislate support for their pronouncements.

The news reports need to be "Biden and Harris refuse to disavow plan a packing Supreme Court".

PDT needs to, like Nasty, muse out loud about maybe packing the SCOTUS before the Nov. election, and watch the liberal heads explode. I wonder what Occassionally-Cognizant would have to say about that.

To follow up on Wallace and Biden haranging Trump about white supremacy: Tell us that you're not going to pack the Supreme Court, Joe! Say it! Do it! Do it!!

Never let a good crisis go to waste.
And if there's no crisis, for Gawd's sake invent one.

It isn't the frustration of progressives at the Republican effort to appoint Amy Coney Barrett that is making the Democrat want to pack the court. It is the thought that for a generation the court will have people in it who will make their decisions based on the law and the Constitution instead of having decisions made by Democrat progressive partisan hacks.

Clueless Joe and Sen Camel Hair are the latest Democratic insults to American voters’ intelligence. When will we say enough is enough?

Biden has not only been dodging the court packing issue, but has been dodging all the important federal issues that a future President will have to deal with. Biden must do that to have any chance as the leftist Democrat policy positions on most issues, once they come to light, are usually very unpopular with the public.

Even the leftist media is pressuring Biden to come clean on court packing. Perhaps the Marxist wing of the party is wavering because of his silence.
