Republican Sen. Mitt Romney is sharply criticizing an investigation by his own party into Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s son, saying it's “not the legitimate role of government” to try and damage political opponents.
GOP Sen. Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, has said the committee will issue a report before the Nov. 3 election on Hunter Biden’s activities in Ukraine. Johnson, a close ally of President Donald Trump, is leading the investigation into Burisma,

It was already established that criminal activity appeared to be taking place, long before the election. So... we're supposed to turn our heads and look away, because the criminals family is politically opposing us?
That's insane!!
Mittens, this is supposed to be "One Nation, under God, with Liberty and Justice, for all!" What country are YOU serving in?

So, you horse's hind end, you approve of corrupt politicians and their crooked families using their political influence for personal profit?
Perhaps Romney has corruption problems too, and doesn't want anyone looking too close at his family?

Romney supported the Deep State's illegitimate use of government resources to wage a political coup against the President, now he defends the Bidens against a legitimate investigation into actual criminality. Romney is a perniciously evil double-dealing Trump hater.

Rummey has slipped from attempting to be the voice reason to being the voice of absurdity. It is CERTAINLY the role of government to investigate illegal activity, especially when that criminality may have involved people in the government, like Joe Biden, who were dumb enough to brag about their illegitimate successes. Rummey may be calmer than most with TDS when he babbles but he is still delusional.
I know that Rummey's loss in 2012 gave us 4 more years of BO but the more Rummey talks, the more I wonder if we might have been better off with BO? Rummey is as close as it comes to being a party "traitor". At least with BO, we knew what we had.

So it is okay to pillage a country because his father is Vice President of the USA? Sorry, Mitt Romney, I disagree with you. I do understand that you have an associate that was tied to these deals so you are biased. In one of President Trump's speeches to the United Nations, he did a fabulous job talking about how countries should be treating each other. The same with people and we should be treating each other. The disrespect you have for President Trump is disturbing but understandable when you are more concerned for your friends and not the country.

That's because Romney is involved in Burisma and other shady dealings. He is afraid that if Hunter and others are investigated he will be too.

Romney forgets it was the Democrats who started this Ukraine charade. They tried to impeach our President eith false accusations and innuendos.
I believe with other posters here that Romney is filthy dirty and is covering up or deflecting attention away from himself and his family. By the way, how many sons does he have? And what do they do?
One of my biggest voting regrets is not seeing this through this elitist fraud and voting of him back in 2012.

Shirt collar feeling a little tight, Mittsky? The investigation would be into what Joe Biden, as sitting Vice President, did to grease the wheels for his son Hunter. That is very much a legitimate role of government. Biden abused his office and his country. Pretty big deal.

I would say that Mittens Romney a well known member of the globalist investor class, or his operatives or supporters were somehow connected to or involved in international unsavory deals similar to what the Biden family was engaged in, and that’s why he is essentially attempting to shield the Biden group, and by extension others, from government inquiry or investigation. Otherwise you would think he would not have made such comments and would have just kept his mouth shut.

As a 2012 county delegate for Mitt, I spoke on his behalf, donated to his campaign, volunteered my time and voted for him.
I used to cringe whenever I read or heard someone use the word 'Mittens'.
I was a true believer.
In fact I thought he had the potential to be one of our best presidents.
I was truly crushed when he lost to Obama.
Since that time I have come to realize how badly I was fooled.
And I'm pretty bitter about it.

Mitch grew up as a politician's son. Crazy Nancy too. To them, enriching family members through graft is normal. They see nothing wrong with it. To them that's the way it is and always been. Politicians control trillions of dollars. Again, to them, It's unreasonable to expect them to accept only their meager salaries.
Biden's became a Senator at the age of 30 and although not the brightest bulb, learned quickly how to feather the family nest.
Sadly, it's more widespread than we will ever know.

Better to damage political opponents before they are elected to office, rather than have the taxpayer pay their bills, and secondly get them before they are elected to any office - that way their dirt is known up front. By the way Mr. Romney ~ how much money flows to you from foreign countries. Doubt your above the law.
