The owner of the Los Angeles Angels said Monday it is "very necessary" to reelect President Trump in the Nov. 3 election. "We all know where we've been," Arte Moreno said at a recent Latinos for Trump event in Phoenix, according to USA Today. "It's necessary to focus on today and the future, and it's very necessary to vote for President Trump." Moreno is a Vietnam veteran and fourth-generation Mexican American. He has said Trump's leadership would assist with small-business dreams, citing his own inspirations as a businessman before he acquired the Phoenix-based Outdoor Systems advertising in 1984 and sold it for $8.3 billion in stock in 1999.  Correction*

All I can say to Arte Marino is don't let your team take a knee, fly the American flag at your games and don't grovel with BLM by putting their logo on the pitcher's mound. Don't get woke to go broke.

Wow. We are Angels fans. I like them because all the players seem like such nice people. (Girls do view things differently!). The owner and his wife are a lovely couple. Now I am happy to find out that they are smart, too, and they are Ours.

Having more people support the President, and doing so publicly, probably at large financial cost, is a very good sign. People get it.

A Fox News panel scolded and cut away from former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich after he linked liberal billionaire George Soros to the violent riots that have caused damage across the country over the last few months. “The No. 1 problem in almost all the cities is George Soros-elected, left-wing, anti-police, pro-criminal district attorneys who refuse to keep people locked up,” Gingrich said to a panel on Fox News’s Outnumbered on Wednesday. “Both Harris and Biden have talked very proudly about what they call progressive district attorneys. "I trust vaccines. I trust scientists. But I don't trust Donald Trump," the Democratic presidential nominee and former vice president said in a press conference on Wednesday. "At this moment, the American people can't either." He called on the Trump administration to assure that politics will not play any role in the vaccine process, to release what scientific criteria will be used to ensure a vaccine meets scientific standards of safety, and how distribution of the vaccine will take place.

Even the National Center on Sexual Exploitation condemned the movie. Senate Republicans hoping to go on offense this week found themselves instead playing defense once again because of controversial remarks by President Trump — this time to Watergate reporter Bob Woodward. It was a familiar dilemma for GOP senators used to being chased by reporters over their thoughts on Trump’s latest furor, but in this case it came with terrible timing — eight weeks before an election in which the Senate is on the line and as they hoped to call attention to Democrats blocking a coronavirus relief bill Thursday on a procedural motion.

COVID is not the first viral flu pandemic America has faced, yet the reaction is unprecedented. The entire economy has been shut down for months, some sectors still closed. Elective yet necessary medical care has been postponed leading to excess sickness and death well beyond that caused by the Chinese virus. Many schools remain closed, as do restaurants, hair salons, and churches. We are forced to keep six feet away from each other at all times and are expected to wear masks, whether outside and alone or inside sharing an intimate moment with a loved one.

Pennsylvania’s highest court gave the Democratic Party a series of victories Thursday, including one allowing repairs to glitches and gray areas in the battleground state’s fledgling mail-in voting law and another that kicked the Green Party’s presidential candidate off the November ballot. The state Supreme Court, which has a 5-2 Democratic majority, granted the Democratic Party’s request to order a three-day extension of Pennsylvania’s Election Day deadline to count mailed-in ballots. And it ruled that the Green Party’s candidate for president did not strictly follow procedures for getting on the ballot in November and cannot appear on it.

By now, it’s the worst kept secret in the world that Joe Biden is having cognitive difficulties. (snip) Rush Limbaugh, however, has noticed another piece in the puzzle, and this one yields to empirical evidence rather than first-hand knowledge. (snip) Biden may be suffering from sundowning, something strongly associated with dementia in the elderly, especially with Alzheimer’s.
