Michelle Obama talks about her
experience with racism as first lady

Michelle Obama has recalled her "exhausting" experience with racism using the example of a simple trip to get ice cream with her daughters during her time in the White House. (Snip) "There was a line, and once again, when I'm just a Black woman, I notice that white people don't even see me. They're not even looking at me. So I'm standing there with two little Black girls, another Black female adult, they're in soccer uniforms, and a white woman cuts right in front of us to order. Like she didn't even see us." Obama said the girl at the

What she paints as racism are every-day minor hassles everyone experiences. But the underlying complaint is that people either don't recognize her or are not gushing over her being in their midst.

Rich, coming from someone who was admitted to Princeton and Harvard specifically because of the color of her skin. Did they ask how long she's been a woman, or what it feels like to have daughters secretly on loan from a couple of biologically male and female fellow travelers? Those would be the greater burdens.

Oh come on Michelle! I'm white as can be and throughout my life there have been numerous times when someone cut in front of me. Sometimes the person was rude. Sometimes, they just didn't realize someone was waiting before them - I'll admit I've done that myself and immediately apologized. As for people patting your dog and not looking at you, maybe they were nervous b/c they realized it was the first lady or maybe they were only interested in the dog.

I'm calling BS on that story. First I doubt that her secret service detail were out of sight. And the people were surely elbowing each other and whispering, "look who that is". Maybe it was one of those pushy tourists from Japan that we have all encountered in D.C. I am told it is culturally acceptable to shove your way ahead in line there.

I bet it is racist when the battery on her iphone runs down, Or when it rains on a day she decided to leave her compound, or when her coffee gets cold or her ice melts in her iced tea. When you view everything as racist, nothing is racist. I remember an article that stated being nice to people of color was racist..Racism is the perfect Catch 22 for liberals.

Sorry, I'm not buying what she's selling but I'm pretty sure that if it did happen the person who cut in line was a democrat. But if it was a busy time for the shop sometimes it's hard to tell where a line begins and ends. I'm not excusing this imaginary woman who should have apologized if this was a real incident. But then if she was a Dem it would not have occurred to her. I don't know if I would recognize MO; she's actually just average looking (I'm being kind) and she did say she wanted to "be normal". The only way I might recognize her without SS protection would be due to her enormous size.

And she told the Secret Service detail to hold back, and they did? give us a break, Michelle! That's not racism. That's rudeness. Maybe she doesn't know this, but rudeness afflicts all of matter the skin color. How racist of her to think that just because that rude person was white, that she was being rude because Michelle was black. There is literally no reason to think that it had anything to do with race. Maybe because she does not go to places like an ordinary person anymore she has forgotten how rude people can be. Try going to Costco!

When you're a Racist all you see is color. Anything that happens to you or around you that can be construed as bad; is seen as color. A Racist projects racism. FTA: I notice that white people don't even see me. How unaware can she be? 'white people' 'don't even see me'... so white people don't see her. They can't be racist if they don't acknowledge her color, THEN, cut in line in front of her.

There in lies the problem with too many blacks. Everything that doesn't go their way or if they don't get their way then racism is to blame. I see it everyday where I work. The actions that are just normal workplace expectations such as turning up on time, and doing the job are viewed as unrealistic with the tone of racism blended in. The older black employees aren't like that at all, and they get fed up with the younger employees complaining all the time.

Rudeness is not racism, the women, assuming the event actually occurred, was rude, would probably have been rude to a white woman just as much. Assuming rudeness and bad behavior is racism is just being hyper sensitive. Of course we are seeing a lot of that on the left in the last few decades.

I am so conflicted. Which lie was the biggest ? The Target story or the ice cream story ? MOOooochelle is like my neighbor who wants to be rich. She would have sent the maid to get ice cream. How dare you think she would get in a line ?

So she is saying that, while Ovomit was president, she took her daughters to an ice cream shop without any Secret Service protection and waited in line with the peasants???? What a pile of BS!!!!!! If she ever went to an ice cream shop while First Heifer, she had the Secret Service clear out that peasants first -- probably for a 2 block radius. They were not worthy to be in her presence!!! Like all racist lie-berals, she has to lie and make up BS stories because she has no actual stories involving racism where she wasn't the racist involved!!!!

Michelle Obama confirmed to me that the definition of racism changed. Racism would be that she was not served ice cream because of her skin color. People standing in line for ice cream are thinking about one thing - ice cream.

Have we ever heard Barack or Michelle Obama express appreciation of being given the honor of serving as President and First Lady of the United States of America? Just a word or two would be nice. But all we hear from either is pettiness and whining for perceived wrongs. What an undeserving couple they turned out to be.

Op-Ed: Kamala Harris' vice
presidential run is a campaign to be
America's second Black president

Make no mistake, Kamala Harris, not Joe Biden, is on the Democratic ticket as the face of the leadership the country is demanding now. Her vice presidential candidacy, in essence, is a bid to become America’s second Black president. Biden is running as the Democrats’ fixit man, pledging to restore normalcy and decency to American politics. Harris’ role is symbolic, as veep choices usually are, but what she represents is truly substantive this time: Harris, a Black woman, embodies the most dependable constituency of the Democratic Party, a voting bloc that is finally rising in power and getting its due.

A defense attorney for the fired Minneapolis police officer charged with murder in connection with the death of George Floyd is asking a judge to drop all charges, arguing the 46-year-old man's death was allegedly from a drug overdose and not caused by the officer planting his knee in the back of Floyd's neck. KENOSHA, Wis. — Scores of police supporters gathered Sunday in downtown Kenosha where protesters have been demonstrating against police brutality since the shooting of Jacob Blake last weekend. Some attending the rally in the Wisconsin city wore “back the blue” shirts. Others carried American flags. They applauded when law enforcement vehicles rolled by. With the things that they face on a daily basis, they need that little extra push of love and to show that they are needed,” said Jennifer Peyton, 44, who attended the rally. “I mean, if you went in to work every day, and you were told that

Another 13% said they intend to back a third-party candidate, while 9% said they’d skip the presidential election altogether. The Military Times surveyed 1,018 active-duty troops for the poll.

A federal appeals court ruled Monday against Michael Flynn and the Justice Department in their request to quickly shut down his criminal case. The 8-2 decision restores power to a judge to question the Justice Department's moves in the politically divisive case, when Attorney General William Barr dropped charges against President Donald Trump's former national security adviser earlier this year despite twice pleading guilty to lying under oath to lying to the FBI. Flynn had fought District Judge Emmet Sullivan's decision to ask a third-party lawyer to argue against the Justice Department's dismissal in the case, and his plans to hold a hearing, which has not yet happened.

San Jose’s bishop, Patrick McGrath, wrote a letter to his flock in which he said that Donald Trump’s complaint of a rigged system “borders on the seditious.” According to the Italian press, many of Pope Francis’s aides viewed Trump’s victory as a “bitter defeat.”
