When I was young they were colored people. As in the National Association of Colored People today. That was a respectful term, I thought, so no one was offended by some offensive term. Negro was used respectfully, and then black.
Why am I confused as an old man today? Can someone clarify this for me so I don't offend anyone. O yes, there is the Hyphenated America who was born here like me. I forgot.

He left out that all-mportant word "of". Had he said "of color" instead of
"colored" he would still be among the blessed. Now he has been cast into outer darkness. Don't question the Fascist Thought Police. They'll be coming for all of us if the Fascists win in November.
BTW, somebody ought to warn the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Also the United Negro College Fund (a mind is a terrible thing to waste). "Negro" is also unforgivably racist now.

Most of these guys use stage names. Change it and go to upstate Idaho. I wouldn't use the Harris spot as an audition tape, though.

The idiot anchor said "colored person" instead of "person of color". Did he not know the vast difference between the two?

I’m old myself and from the south, and I can recall my grandfather referring to blacks as “darkies.” The world was very small then, so unless you were Native American, in terms of color, it was basically them and us ... whites and those darker than whites.

Where is the list?
The list of words which we must not say?
Didn't Carlin do a post 20 years ago of the 7 unforgivable words?
Where is that list now?
what are we forbidden to think, believe, or say?
Who is in charge of this?
Is this the SF story about paying royalties for certain trademarked names?
Inquiring minds want to know.

She’s not black. She’s not African-American. She considers herself to be non-white. Doesn’t leave much, does it? How about “colored”?

The proper term is Red Dot No Feather. Back before color TV if you called a black person Black it was considered offensive and the preferred term was Colored. Now they have flipped. Who makes up these rules and how to find out what we are supposed to use?

Does the station have a list of "offensive" words? Or do they just arbitrarily decide what you can say and what is banned? I would think there is a possibility of a law suit in here somewhere.

But I thought that they were all celebrating that "A Woman of Color" was picked ???
Although ever since Kamala went to Michael Jackson's Plastic Surgeon a month or two ago for some facial rearrangement and skin bleaching, she is even paler than she was before .
I hope her nose doesn't fall off like Michael's did.
(Actually, I'm fibbing... I kinda hope it does fall off.)

Since any sort of descriptive phrase is offensive to someone with no life, I've just decided to bring back the old terms and damn the social justice warriors. My living room sounds like a flashback to the 1950's, but there is far less stress now.

#15 It's not offensive as long as they receive your money.
I think they should publish a yearly list of acceptable terms since it seems to be "fluid"

Yet again an innocent person is victimized by “political correctness” for a word commonly used in the past, but now deemed “offensive and racist” by today’s leftists even though the civil rights organization NAACP continues to use “Colored” for its organization’s identification. The young man’s explanation reveals his innocence in having used the word, but the damage has been done, and this young man’s future appears to be uncertain as a result of this wanton disregard for freedom of speech that has resulted in harassment and intimidation of people and/or businesses not conforming to “political correctness.”
