A radio station in Cleveland fired a news anchor this week after he referred to Democrat Kamala Harris as the nation’s “first colored vice presidential candidate,” according to reports. Anchor Kyle Cornell, 26, used the description of Harris in a news promo spot that aired during WTAM radio’s broadcast of a Cleveland Indians baseball game, Cleveland.com reported.(Snip)“The U.S. officially has its first colored vice presidential candidate. More coming up after the game on Newsradio WTAM 1100 Cleveland,” Cornell announced, according to the news site.

Comments:

Yet again an innocent person is victimized by “political correctness” for a word commonly used in the past, but now deemed “offensive and racist” by today’s leftists even though the civil rights organization NAACP continues to use “Colored” for its organization’s identification. The young man’s explanation reveals his innocence in having used the word, but the damage has been done, and this young man’s future appears to be uncertain as a result of this wanton disregard for freedom of speech that has resulted in harassment and intimidation of people and/or businesses not conforming to “political correctness.”

When I was young they were colored people. As in the National Association of Colored People today. That was a respectful term, I thought, so no one was offended by some offensive term. Negro was used respectfully, and then black. Why am I confused as an old man today? Can someone clarify this for me so I don't offend anyone. O yes, there is the Hyphenated America who was born here like me. I forgot.

He left out that all-mportant word "of". Had he said "of color" instead of "colored" he would still be among the blessed. Now he has been cast into outer darkness. Don't question the Fascist Thought Police. They'll be coming for all of us if the Fascists win in November. BTW, somebody ought to warn the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Also the United Negro College Fund (a mind is a terrible thing to waste). "Negro" is also unforgivably racist now.

Here's the problem with ANY term used to describe anyone of sub-Saharan African descent. And I am shooting straight from the hip on this. No matter WHAT term you use to describe blacks, colored, negroes or even the current 'people of color', until that group of people IMPROVES their communities and individual lives, the term 'du jour' eventually falls out of favor because it is associated with failure. You could call them "Most high kings of the purest ideals" and in 10 years they would complain about that unless they have turned it around as a community. Ie, the reality of crime-infested neighborhoods, misogynistic entertainment, dissolving family units and "most high kings of the purest ideals" on "most high kings of the highest ideals" murders eventually catches up to the name and makes it a bad thing. That's the facts. Me? I'm a smart ass white boy polar bear. You can call me whatever you want.

If the November election is close, expect
bad things due to a surge of mail-in ballots

Donald Trump has warned that the surge in mail-in ballots, part of a deliberate Democrat strategy, could cause severe problems that would leave the result of the presidential election in doubt for days or weeks. Part of it is voting fraud, something Democrats and the media discount completely. Part of it is mail delays, which Democrats and the media insanely and falsely blame on Trump. The third part is invalidation of ballots which has a high rate for mail-in voting in 2020 primaries. Disregard for this purpose fraud--mail delays and fights over ballot invalidation could leave the results unknown and cause mayhem.
