California has become the first state in the nation to surpass 600,000 confirmed coronavirus cases. As of Friday morning, there were more than 603,000 recorded cases. The state also has now reported over 11,000 deaths. Yet despite the grim numbers, there is growing evidence that the surge in infections and fatalities that began when California reopened its economy in May is beginning to slow. In Los Angeles County, the effective transmission rate of the coronavirus is now about 0.86 — meaning that every one infected person passes the virus to an average of 0.86 other people. Last week, the rate was

OK....riddle me this. How many ACTIVE cases are there?
What irritates me is the constant narrative of new cases and total cases without EVER mentioning the number that have recovered or never has symptoms.

An absolutely meaningless statistic, along with 11,000-deaths number.

More testing will find more people who had the virus, not more people who are sick from it.

98.5% of everyone who contracts the virus, recovers within 5-14 days.
The average life expectancy in the United States is 78 years old.
The average age of a person dying of Covid related death is 78 years old.
Now you know why there isn't a major increase in the overall death count, since nearly everyone who dies from this virus would have normally died around the same time.
Yes, it's very difficult for some, and it looks very likely they know how to treat this virus much better today than they did 4-5 months ago.

That would be 6 out of every 400 people in the state.

Yes and the survival rate is 98.78%. So there is a 1.12’% chance you can die from it.

Even with this record infection, we're not even close to the 20,000,000 that Newsom predicted. To date that is the worldwide figure.

Cases.
Cases.
Cases
And how many people are in hospitals? How many people have died? THOSE are the real statistics of interest. Cases is BS. 99+% of "cases" are NOTHING, the person doesn't even notice.

What do you expect, as there are a lot of people in California, and the Communist Chinese engineered the COVID-19 virus to be very contagious and tricky for medical science to bring under control, so that as many people in a free and undisciplined society like the USA , and some other countries, could become infected and severely damage Western economies. Notice that there is no pandemic ongoing in China.
That was the Chinese Communist game plan from the get-go as we have never experienced any sort of highly contagious virus like that ever being imported before into the USA in any American’s lifetime. Was there “collusion” to unleash that virus on the USA during an election year to get rid of President Trump, who has been the toughest US President on China in the modern era? As note the leftist and liberal Democrats are now highly politicizing the virus pandemic to try to defeat Trump in the November election blaming Trump, while giving China a pass claiming that blaming China is racist and xenophobic, clearly right now both the Communist Chinese and the Democrats are on the same mission, to defeat Trump in the November election.
