A new poll indicates that voters would favor a 2024 presidential election between Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republic Senator Mitt Romney. The poll released Thursday by Canadian polling firm Leger surveyed over 1,000 registered U.S. voters who listed the candidates as their top choices for GOP and Democratic nominations. Neither of the current candidates, President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, were listed as choices.

Are they trying for comedy or tragedy? Incompetence vs. Incontinence? Deep sea angler fish vs. Gooey bird? Maybe as a horrible kind of variety show - certainly wouldn't be a reality show - neither one is real. Maybe the people Newsweek talked to just want to move on from the horrific reality they find their lives in under Democrat control?

A Republican party that picked Rummey to represent them would deserve to lose. I can't imagine he could ever muster enough support to get the nomination. I'm sure there is an element of the party that would prefer a less flamboyant personality but anyone but Rummey. Cuomo on the other hand, well, the dems could pick anyone. They have no ethics or morals. For them it is an exercise in pure power.

Silly poll, merely a name recognition survey. The GOP isn't going to nominate Mittens. He'll be 77 in 2024 (same as Dementia Joe is today), and the GOP would be wise to avoid a geriatric has-been as their candidate. And, of course, he had his chance and blew it in extraordinary style. No Nixonian comeback for Willard.

All roads through the republican primary begin through Mike Pence... If Don Jr get's in, it will be fascinating... others with potential: Ted Cruz, Kristi Noem, Ron DeSantis, Jiim Jordan... and a few establishment, but strong: Nikki Haley, Mitt Romney, Marco Rubio... maybe a few veterans like Ben Crenshaw. In other words, Mitt is a long shot, at best...

Mitt will be almost 78 in 2024. 2020 is his last shot...the only question is whether or not this independent, moderate Republican, a "man of conscience", once vetted by the American public, has the guts to make his last run. His organization is in place under Bill Weld camouflage waiting for the word to go. Undoubtedly there would be sufficient $$$ support from Never-Trumpers and UNIPARTY interests, not to mention fawning coverage of this white knight by the media. Three-way race would make it very interesting. Let's not ever forget that there are lots of people willing to crawl through broken glass - not all to vote for Trump.

A group of community activists implored Gov. J.B. In calling for the assistance, the activists pointed to the city’s surging summer gun violence as they urged both members of the City Council and Congress to rally behind police officers they claim have been outnumbered and attacked at recent protests.

There was a fascinating interview with Soviet KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov in 1984 in which he foretold in unerring detail the exact social and political scenarios that would exist in America in the near future. His contention was that the KGB was involved primarily not in espionage, but in an activity that he called "ideological subversion." According to Bezmenov, the KGB's goal was to take down America by slowly changing the minds of the population from within. He said the Soviet Union was producing Marxist-Leninist thoughts that are "being pumped into the heads of American students without [those thoughts] being counterbalanced by American/capitalistic values."

Ever wonder how we got to this point? How did a nation that defined itself with the superlatives, “land of the free and the home of the brave,” “America the Beautiful“ and “one nation under God” turn into a broken culture with no boundaries, no borders, no law, no order and no soul so fast? How did we lurch from being the United States into a divided people so quickly? Where did this all come from: the vitriol and vice, the anger and hatred, the looting, the riots, the destruction, the nihilistic confusion, the science-denying gender-bending sexuality, the suicidal infatuation with socialism,

New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, a Republican who gained prominence last year for standing up to the Democrat’s failed Ukraine witch hunt and inquisition, is reportedly priming herself to deliver another round of scathing rebukes of the left at next week’s Republican National Convention.Speaking this week with New York newspaper The Daily Gazette, she revealed that she plans to use some of her scheduled prime-time speech at next week’s convention to expose the public to some hidden truths about Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden. “Stefanik said she’ll use the slot to promote President Donald Trump and criticize Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential nominee,” the Gazette reported.

A California man, 81, has revealed how he spent 30 years building his 'dream house' before it was burned to ashes this week in one of the state's biggest wildfires on record. .Hank Hanson is just one of hundreds of homeowners and residents who have lost everything in the devastating blazes that continue to rip through the Golden State. He told how he and his wife fled for their lives from their home in Vacaville Wednesday morning, just moments before the LNU Lightning Complex fires destroyed it, leaving his tomato plants the only thing unscathed.'I worked on it for 30 years.

On the American right, we have Reagan Republicans, Trump Republicans, anti-Trump Republicans, and anti-anti-Trump Republicans; RINOs and True Conservatives™️, a Freedom Caucus and Tuesday Group; reformocons and first-, second-, and third-wave neocons; Kirkian traditionalists, Meyerian libertarians, and Buckleyite fusionists. Of all the varieties of American conservatism, though, one new contingent stands alone in its ridiculousness: anti-Romney Republicans.

The mother of a man fatally shot by Louisiana police said her son was intelligent, shy and had sought therapy for social anxiety. Her lawyers said they plan to sue over the death of Trayford Pellerin, who police said had a knife and was trying to enter a convenience store. The shooting Friday night was captured on video, and the state ACLU condemned what it described as a “horrific and deadly incident of police violence against a Black person.” Both the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center quickly called for an investigation. Pellerin’s death prompted a crowd of protesters to gather Saturday and demonstrate against the latest fatal police shooting.

A West Villager has been tormented for more than a year by a messy, obstinate roommate who has been refusing to pay rent or move out, according to shocking court papers. Barrow Street resident Heidi Russell’s short-term renter, Kate Gladstone, is a “serial grifter” who has become a long-term nightmare, taking over her apartment, repeatedly spritzing her with cleaning chemicals and basically squatting for free, the court papers claim. It’s been so unbearable, Russell often flees her two-bedroom apartment during the day, just to get away from Gladstone.(Snip) Making matters worse, on Saturday a judge ruled that due to the ongoing pandemic

John Brennan’s long-time advisor Nick Shapiro put out a statement yesterday at the conclusion of Brennan’s eight-hour interview with John Durham and his investigators. It might all be true. All I have are opinions on the text and circumstances.(Snip)Since when has Brennan been shy about saying anything on Twitter? Why would Brennan go “third person” and have his thoughts about the interview expressed only in the words of someone else? The most obvious reason is the statements are not going to be exactly accurate. Running them through a third person builds in a level of “deniability” on Brennan’s part. Shapiro wasn’t in the room for the
