With both baseball and basketball draped in all sorts of Black Lives Matter and social justice symbolism for their opening games, a substantially smaller number of fans tuned-in to the rest of the week’s games.

As I've posted before on Parler: I've seen my last MLB game, I gave up my season tickets to the Redskins 3 years ago and haven't seen an NBA game since the NBA Players Assoc. fully backed the criminal Latreen Spreewell after his attack on PJ Carlissimo. Spreewell is like 7'2'' Carlissimo is like 5'8'' As an aside every person that BLM is protesting for is a career criminal. What about the law abiding?

I'm not and never have been a basketball fan, although there are some players I do like (Jordan, Stockton, Barkley) but I have been a HUGE fan of baseball ever since my baseball loving grandfather introduced me to it when I was just a little girl. I love going to baseball games. Of all the sports, it's the one that is the most fun to see in person. I love sitting in my seat with a big glass of lemonade, some nachos and just watching the game roll on in front of me. I've seen some good ones and it was always my dream to one day go to Wrigley Field to see the Cubs. No more. If I want a baseball fix, I'll watch my local minor league team. The MLB has lost this fan.

I'm not an NBA fan but I am acquainted with several people who are. They don't strike me as caring about the politicalization of sports. Valuing entertainment over principles, they are blind to the wider cultural implications of their support. Once a guy wrote a book titled what's the matter with Kansas (voters, who voted Republican and supposedly against their own interests). What's the matter with sports fans? Can't they see their support right now is foolish beyond reasoning? I guess not.

Never was a fan of the NBA (except for a couple seasons when the Pistons--home team--were on top). Never all that hip to NFL. I always liked hearing the baseball games called, back when Ernie Harwell did the play by play here in Michigan. Later, not so much. But if these guys keep being woke, the ONLY think I'll cheer for is some bankruptcies. Put Ditka in charge of the NFL: and change things. Otherwise, NFL doesn't matter. None of those guys do.

I am a casual sports fan, and typically enjoy team and individual sports. I always thought that many team athletes get paid way too much, however, and that many cities were subsidizing teams too much through tax breaks and using public monies to pay for stadiums. I believe the lack of sports due to COVID, coupled with media hype over political gestures and China influencing the behavior of American athletes will have a detrimental impact over the long haul. In other words, athlete salary and team income will decline...fancy stadiums will become less relevant and turn out to be poor public investments.

You want and need fans? Then act like respectable people. Successful sports teams are made up of heroic people. When you back the causes that are harming us, or denigrate those who work to actually protect us, you aren't heroes. You are swaggering braggarts and hooligans, arrogant and engrossed in your own personal mythology. Your feet are sand. Your renown, forgotten. Your place in history, erased.

When I was a lot younger I used to be a fan of all the home teams, living or dying by each game. (On tv or radio, I didn't attend them!) One day it dawned on me; whether they win or lose, I didn't gain anything. No money, no fame, no adulation, no nothing! I already knew it was way too expensive to attend any pro game, so what was the point in concerning myself with them? The best I do now is sometimes look at the latest scores, but that is very seldom.

Nothing pleases Satan more than to win another Christian over to worshiping him so he can flaunt another converted christian unrepentant sinner in the face of God our Father. In the end Satan will have all but God' very elect Christians a remnant of His creations, worshiping him Satan.

Forgetting the collective insult which are echoes of Obama's 'clinging to religion' and Hillary's 'deplorables' - without fans in the stands, why bother? These are silly puppet shows hoping not lose cable/TV money in the next contract round. I hope they all starve. I only feel sorry for the lost income to everyone else. I'd feel sorry for cities who have lost tax revenues but if they'd stood up against the BLM BS, we might not have come this far.

Years ago, when my 40 year old son was in his early teens and a huge Saints fan, the Saints lost (not uncommon back then) and the boy went out back to the woods behind the house and beat an expensive aluminum softball bat against a tree until it was pretty much flattened. I asked him if it changed the score or was the team awarded the win? He learned that all that happened was he got to replace that expensive bat with his money. Unless you're gambling on the games, nothing changes for you personally, whether they win or lose. He now spends his time doing things with his family. Lesson learned!

Hard working everyday Americans are the life blood of this Nation, and they are not fools. Initially they give the benefit of the doubt to others, but eventually they see through false narratives (lies), scams, shakedowns, and veiled threats. The phrase " Go woke, go broke" reflects the cancerous business model of weak CEOs blinded by fear, and hoping the threatening mob passes by their door. They will pay a heavy price much like Gillette when that company ran a series of ads insulting men a few years back. Regular Americans are many, violent leftists are few. It is " time to stick a fork in the antifa/blm movement, call it done", "Hold a Wake for the Woke movement" and "get back to living life, liberty and pursuing our happiness"

I love baseball, but I also understand what baseball is. It is 30 teams with a 40 man roster each. 1200 players. None are indispensable. With very few exceptions most stunning plays and tremendous talents are forgot as soon as the season ends. Give it a few years and even the earthshaking moments, plays and players are largely forgotten. Baseball gods need to remember it is a slippery slope when you alienate your fans. Basketball is at that point. NBA Basketball is becoming a chinese communist party asset, and the chinese feel the American basketball consumer is unimportant. Can NBA players be replaced? Yep, easily. You won't even miss today's "stars".

Those BLM cop haters and in some cases cop killers is nothing to support. Sports is over to me my beloved baseball has fallen to it now. Maybe when the money dries up they will barter among themselves for trades and those millionaires will negotiate for 15k jobs because no one is watching. The half time at Super Bowl will be pet tricks by Trixie the cocker spaniel. Many people have found other things to do, and they're still not able to go to a sports bar to watch either. That many likely don't realize that those millions of dollars that were donated to BLM ended up funneled into ActBlu, which is an democrat activist group run by two white liberals, to be used for political purposes and not to help under-privileged communities. Most don't likely know the Northern democrat party platform in 1864 was to end the Civil War, and let the South secede. This would have allowed the Southern States to retain slavery, as the new country would not have had to abide by the Emancipation Proclamation. And, what about what LBJ was alleged to have said after signing of the Civil Right's Law? Do many of them realize the white, liberal establishment has been running most of the major democrat cities for decades?

I was hopeful that the National Hockey League would stay out of the politics of white guilt promotion, as a number of their players are from European countries that were previous USSR satellite nations, and their families grew up experiencing communism on a daily basis. But, this weekend they made it clear that BLM is a major part of their Stanley Cup Playoff agenda, and for the first time one of their players took a knee during the playing of the US National Anthem, but stood for the Canadian anthem. He was a black Canadian playing on the Minnesota team, and was allowed to deliver a rant against all of the systemic racism in America to the TV audience. To hell with all of these overpaid game players who became millionaires due to the great American free enterprise system that they complain about.

Numerous “civil rights” bills have been passed by Congress over the years that have nothing to do with civil rights, but how many members are brave enough to point that out and vote against them? Which brings me to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Should people be able to invest in ventures that aim to have a social or environmental impact? The answer is yes. In fact, people should be able to invest in, buy stock in, and even bet on anything they want. However, fiduciaries (those that manage other people’s investments) must follow some rules. The first rule of a fiduciary should be to put the economic interests of its clients first. Some haven’t exactly followed that rule and have let personal politics and beliefs get in the way,

Panicked by fears manufactured by the ruling class, the American people assented to being put essentially under house arrest until further notice, effectively suspending the habits, preferences, and liberties that had defined our way of life. Most Americans have suffered economic damage. Many who do not enjoy protected status have had careers ended and been reduced to penury. Social strains and suicides multiplied. Forcibly deferring all manner of medical care is sure to impose needless suffering and death. In sum, the lockdowns’ medical and economic dysfunctions make for multiples of the deaths and miseries of the COVID-19 virus itself. Bad judgments and usurpations—the scam, not the germs—define this disaster’s dimensions.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo is begging wealthy New Yorkers to return to the city to save it from economic ruin while fighting off calls from other lawmakers to raise their taxes, a move he fears could permanently drive the top 1 percent out of the city. Thousands of New York City residents fled Manhattan and Brooklyn earlier this year when the city was the COVID-19 epicenter of the world. Many flocked to their second homes in the Hamptons or upstate, while others rented or bought new properties, abandoning their expensive city apartments. Now, six months on with no end to the national nightmare in sight, many are laying down permanent roots.

Kneeling for the national anthem at sporting events used to be the occasional episode of player activism protesting the United States as an evil racist empire. Amid the new 21st century woke revolution however, kneeling has become a key signifier for players and teams to declare which side of the culture wars one sits on. It’s those who love America versus those who hate it, the latter of which despises the American flag and all that it represents as a relic of white supremacy that must be condemned.

Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat, signed an executive directive on Wednesday ordering state employees to undergo “implicit bias training.” Executive directives allow the Michigan governor to establish procedures or basic policy for employees of the state’s executive branch. According to the directive, current state employees will be required to undergo “implicit bias training” by the end of this year, while new employees must complete the training as part of the hiring process. While various bias training initiatives have been implemented by government offices in recent months, some research shows that the impact of these initiatives is negligible. Whitmer’s directive

Late on Monday, The Daily Mail posted full body cam videos from two of the officers charged in connection with the death of George Floyd. These videos have been kept out of the public domain by Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, and now we know why. The videos are from the body cams worn by Officer Thomas Lane and Officer Alex Kueng. The two videos (Snip) cover a sequence of events lasting just over 18 minutes. Full versions are linked to below, and after the links I have comments with time-stamps referenced. Lane Body Cam – Video No. 1. (Snip) It takes about 30 seconds for Floyd to

Whatever was left of an in-person 2020 Democratic National Convention evaporated Wednesday as organizers announced Joe Biden won't be traveling to Milwaukee to give his presidential acceptance speech. And neither will any of the other speakers who will address the Aug. 17-20 convention. With the coronavirus pandemic paralyzing modern politics, Democrats will hold a virtual convention. Biden will accept the party's presidential nomination from his home state of Delaware.

On August 1, the Washington Post published an op-ed by the now-retired Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, of impeachment fame. The paper’s editors had to heavily revise the piece prior to publication. American Greatness has obtained the text of Vindman’s first draft. After 21 years of playing soldier, I am now a civilian. I decided to retire, as difficult as it was, because I am getting a cool $1 million for my upcoming memoir, and no longer need to pretend that I care. I was hoping for $2 million, but I suppose $1 million will have to do. Besides, I had every expectation of being promoted to a general, but

Joe Biden said he would not take a cognitive test despite goading from Donald Trump he should do so and the president bragging his Democratic rival wouldn't be able to beat his score 'No, I haven't taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test?,' Biden said in an interview with the National Association of Black Journalists and National Association of Hispanic Journalists that's set to air in full on Thursday. 'Come on man. That's like saying, before you got in this program, you're taking a test whether you're taking cocaine or not. What do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?,' he added.

Democrat Senator Mazie Hirono got triggered after Republican Senator Ted Cruz pressed her to condemn Antifa violence. Not only did Hirono refuse to disavow the left-wing savagery, but she walked out of Cruz’s Antifa hearing in a huff. Hirono’s refusal to denounce the Antifa riots, looting, arson, and assaults is like the ostrich that buries its head in the sand, hoping this nullifies reality. Hirono walked out after a testy exchange with Cruz, who was chairing a Senate hearing on the role that Antifa and Black Lives Matter extremists are playing in the alarming escalation of violence around the country. Cruz slammed Democrats for not condemning Antifa riots, during

Bill Gates has advocated for pandemic preparedness for years, and famously gave a TED talk in 2015 that warned of the potentially staggering death toll a worldwide pandemic could create. "As awful as this pandemic is, climate change could be worse," Gates said in a blog [snip] "If you want to understand the kind of damage that climate change will inflict, look at COVID-19 and spread the pain out over a much longer period of time. The loss of life and economic misery caused by this pandemic are on par with what will happen regularly if we do not eliminate the world's carbon emissions."

WASHINGTON – Over 100 Black women leaders and activists slammed comments made of Black women being considered to be Joe Biden's running mate as racist and sexist in an open letter published Wednesday. Sen. Kamala Harris, Rep. Karen Bass, former US Ambassador Susan Rice, Rep. Val Demings and former Georgia Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams have all been floated as possible vice presidential contenders for Biden. The letter comes as Biden is nearing an announcement on his vice presidential pick. It also comes just days after a Virginia mayor made a Facebook post that read, “Joe Biden has just announced
