Trump's grip on GOP loosens
as polls sink

Original Article

President Trump faces the prospect of growing dissent within his own party unless he can arrest his slide in the polls. Trump has fallen a significant distance behind presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in recent weeks, as the coronavirus has become resurgent. Republicans are eyeing their electoral futures with increasing nervousness. “Are they worried about Trump’s approval rating? Absolutely, because many of them know they cannot significantly outperform the president. If you are in a swing state or in a swing district, you need the president to be at least competitive,” said one former Republican member of Congress, who requested anonymity to speak candidly.

The "polls" have been shown to be completely unreliable, but that hasn't stopped them from continuing to play the game. They are obviously part of an overall propaganda strategy to shape opinion, not measure it. And the perpetrators are determined to continue doing it in the hope it will sway some people to the intended direction.

It matters not, Niall. The GOP was really never on board, they are just riding out Donald Trump's success. Trump's grip on the Deplorables has never loosened because only we understand what kind of leader he is - the kind we need. In 2024 it's going to be a free-for-all and the do-nothing GOP will be right behind the democrats in the toilet bowl.

Y'all, the truth is, we (Trump supporters) are losing this battle right now and it all went to hell in a hand basket over these stupid masks. I know many people who are Republicans who are very upset with Trump. They want him to quit picking fights and tweeting and grab this thing by the horns and own it and if that means capitulating on masks, then so be it. I'm not saying it makes sense, but people are truly fearful and right now the media (all of it -- especially social media) is drowning out any rational arguments. He has got to change course and get in front of all of this. One thing that will help is a debate with Dementia Joe. People need to see just how befuddled and inept Joe is...and I mean that, not from a policy perspective, but from a practical perspective -- the man doesn't even know what day of the week it is...people need to see that up close on their Tee-Vee screens.

No way Trump is losing his base. I think he gets almost all of his 2016 support and blacks won't rally around Biden. I worry about the polls because Biden shouldn't be getting any support. He is incoherent and many voters are just plain idiotic. I even read where Biden is making inroads with the evangelicals. That won't happen. They love Trump.

Oh please #8. If you think I am blaming President Trump for the masks and this whole virus situation and won't vote for him, you are sadly mistaken. RINO's won't vote for him in 2020 and didn't vote for him in 2016. No loss there. As a poster, you point out President Trump's weakness (which I don't agree with your assessment) but what has Joe Biden done? Meet with the protestors? Big whoop. . .

The only "republicans" that I see quoted are never Trumpers. Also, the article fails to back up its claim with any polling showing a slip in support among republican voters. The article posits a position and supports it with national polls, which are suspect and quotes from clowns that have never supported Trump. The TRUTH is that Trump has higher support among republicans than Biden has with democrats.

Biden's poll numbers are recorded from the many brain-dead people who either like the idea of free everything and a "change the world" Europuppet in the White House or they hate Donald Trump. Don't think the pollsters aren't targeting these people specifically because they want the results to reflect their own wishes.

#14 -- I didn't say they were blaming him for the mask debaucle, I'm saying they are upset that this is all spiraling out of control. Schools can't reopen (thank you teachers unions), cancel culture is in full force, rioters are running the streets, the police are cowering (hell, a few weeks ago, the police were kneeling before the protestors) -- he has GOT to get in front of all this (why do you think he wore a mask yesterday?) and take the narrative back. We CANNOT win with our base alone, we have to drag others over to our side and if those "others" are demoralized and believe what they are hearing in the press -- and more importantly -- from their "peers" on social media, then we are in big trouble. It is not a GIVEN, at all, that Trump will win. And I have plenty of friends who plan to vote for him but cannot stand him, but they are smart enough to see what will happen if the other side wins. I worry about the people (several of whom I know very well) who truly believe that we can elect Biden, he'll be such a disaster that we will then get a "respectable, statesman Reagan-esque" conservative in the White House. I wish I weren't the bearer of this bad news. I wish I were confident of a victory in November, but I am far, far from that. We cannot be complacent. We have got to get every person we know to vote with us!

All things considered with impeachment and everything else the lying leftists could throw at him, President Trump has maintained decent ratings in the polls, but we're supposed to believe people can't wait to vote for Joe Biden, the best of a rotten bunch of candidates, hunkered down and cowering in his basement in fear of a virus. People are coming over to our side in droves, and they think they can make US believe even real Republicans want to throw out PDT. All because of fake Republicans and a fake virus pandemic. #8 & 31, after 2 lengthy posts, I’m still not clear what exactly it is that you want the President to do. It might be better if you steeled yourself against the leftist drumbeat that “Trump has failed.” These types of polls come our every, single presidential cycle, which make it look like conservatives are in dire straits. It is done with one purpose in mind: to produce fear and panic on the right. Don’t indulge them.

Post #8 - Key telling comment "capitulating on masks". Another word for capitulating is Surrender and the one true rule when fighting our democrat communist enemies especially in the media - is never, ever to give in and never, ever give an inch on anything to these traitors.. We are in a war of survival with the deadliest enemies our country has ever faced and #8 wants to capitulate on the most visible symbol of submission to the democrats - face masks which are worthless protection. He also blames Trump for picking fights with our enemies and daring to tweet out the truth about our enemies lies and failures. Next up - its Trumps fault for not stopping earthquakes.

Prince Harry’s American wife accused his family of hateful racism against her baby, claimed they refused to protect her and drove her to the point of suicide. She made the incendiary and implausible charge that when she was pregnant with Archie, the royal family decreed that her unborn son would be denied the title of “prince” because her mixed race meant he might have dark skin.

Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
