Two weeks of protests and unrest in New York City after the death of George Floyd only intensified the overwhelming distrust many feel toward the New York City Police Department, the state's attorney general, Letitia James, concluded in a preliminary report. Released on Wednesday, the document, "New York City Police Department's Response to Demonstrations Following the Death of George Floyd," doesn't render a specific judgment on the performance of officers, but it does state: "It is clear that too many New Yorkers no longer trust the police to do their jobs effectively and fairly." A mouthpiece for the anarchists. Who do you trust? Black lives don’t matter? Antifa? Looters and rioters? Are you suspending all rationality to the detriment of your state and community? What is your plan to secure your cities and state? Turn in into one giant CHOP Zone?! Perfect.

I doubt that this is true of more than 20% of the folks in NY, even knowing how crazy New Yorkers are.

Come on AG Letitia. Come on Goobernor Grandma Killer. Do the right thing and defund and disbanded the State Police. Don't stop with NYPD. ANd cut state funds to all police departments. Make NY great again with plenty of funded minority welfar programs. Allow the small business owners like drug runners, mules and gangs to be all they can be. Quite publishing reports that support your agenda and execute your agenda. Besides turning NY State into a minority paradise, you can allow those same minorities to reach their potential. However, once another states opens up a financial market in a state with law and order, NYC nd NY State are toast.

Thank you, Democrats!! Thank you, New York Times and your media buddies!! You have completely destroyed, through your rules and lies the perception of New Yorkers about their police.
You now have some bad choices to consider:
1. Before New York had police, they had Citizen Watchmen who operated without Miranda Rights or Civilian Activists. They had enforced curfews. They were armed, with guns and clubs, and God help you if you tried to run away from them.
2. You could call in the army with orders to capture or shoot anyone breaking the law. After a while you'll run out of criminals as various elements flee the city.
3. Or you can try to rebuild the trust you squandered. You might want to try this.

All I see is ABC News. Enough for me to know its isn't so. The Police is likely the only thing they trust. Not the mayor, gov or AG.

You can bet Letitia is part of the problem. I never realized that diversity meant having a quota for morons and malcontents.

For the life of me I can’t understand why anyone would choose to remain a police officer in any democrat controlled city. Also, I don’t suppose Letitia James could have any personal bias could she?

Ask these same people again in a couple of weeks when the gangs control the streets. The politicians who are unable to get taxpayer-funded private security are going to be screaming.

That is a predominately white crowd of protesters and mostly under 30. Still not a word about black on black crime, illegals, or children.
Where is the police union in NYC ?
