Tammy Duckworth hits back at
Tucker Carlson: 'Walk a mile in my legs'

Original Article

Posted By: JoElla Bee, 7/7/2020 4:10:42 PM

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) on Monday night hit back at Fox News host Tucker Carlson after he criticized her for supporting a "national dialogue" on removing memorials to George Washington. "Does @TuckerCarlson want to walk a mile in my legs and then tell me whether or not I love America?" Duckworth tweeted after Carlson called her a "deeply silly and unimpressive person."

Comments:

Sen., I am thankful for your military service and so sorry for the loss of your legs. But, it isn’t the legs, it’s the heart (mind) of a person that determines beliefs and emotions. You wouldn’t be the first person with past military service who hates our country as founded, and wants her fundamentally transformed from a Constitutional Representative Republic.

Is Duckworth really in the running for VP candidate? What about the undisputed fact that she was born in Thailand? Or does that law not apply to Democrats?

Senator George McGovern,a leftest leftest, won the Distinguished Flying Cross for bravery, landing his crippled B 24,two engines blown up and on fire from German artillery flak, after a perilous bombing run, on a short and dangerous island runway, saving his crews lives. A quiet and unassuming man without a scintilla of ego or self serving posturing. Lost by one of the largest blowouts in election history to President Nixon. I didn't, vote for the war hero. Duckworth couldn't carry Georges medals.

Benedict Arnold was a genuine American war hero before he became a disgruntled traitor. He had enough class not to claim that he was entitled to betray his country because of his outstanding military service or because of his leg, shattered when his horse was shot out from under him in battle. Grow up, Tammy. Stop whingeing and own the calumnies you have heaped upon this country.

Very good, OP. I love Patriots. If serving you gave some, some gave all (as the saying goes), many still sacrifice; many are "ordinary" civilians going about their daily tasks, working, caring for their families, caring for their communities, minding their own business, trying to build up and not tear down, loving their country, respecting its history, understanding Man's fallibility and knowing how we need redemption, and not looking for it in any person. Tammy, people respect your past willingness to train and serve in dangerous times. But these, too, are dangerous times, for our Republic, right here, and you are failing your country, you are aiding the enemy which seeks to "transform" and thus destroy the homeland. For your betrayal, you do not deserve trust or respect. Dare to wake up and reject the socialists determined to overthrow the United States of America.

Currently the Left wants to erase from our history men and women (but mostly men who happen to be white) who (A) made positive contributions to our nation's founding and building and (B) were imperfect sinners like the rest of us are. The Left is judging them by today's standards (if you can call them that) and not by the past's standards. There are problems with that approach. First, one day, the today's Left won't pass the acceptability test; they won't be sufficiently woke. So we will be erasing them if we continue on this trajectory. Some conservatives might like that, but that wouldn't be true to history. These idiots exist and should be remembered as such. Second, this approach is as arrogant as the day is long. What makes today's Left so pure that they should erase people who were considered just and moral in their day -- even if they were wrong? About the Hitler card: What Hitler did in the 1930s and 1940s was considered unconscionable at every point in the 20th century. Did Andrew Jackson do wrong by owning slaves? Yes. Of course. Completely sinful. But it isn't the same as murdering six million human beings. I do not excuse Jackson and his sin. The problem with the national conversation is that we are not allowed to be honest about what we think or feel without being accused of being racist, sexist, or homophobic. Know what happens? People clam up -- except for extremists who cause great pain.

Shes a worthless lying pig. She was a helicopter pilot who's copter was shot down and she was injured. Shithole Illinois democrats immediately recognized an opportunity for get another lackey in congress with a bs story. This Mosley Braun, obongo, durbin,etc...I first learned of this phony when the rats got her a job in the VA. There was a pic all over the press her walking down the street in DC with SH Durbin on a freezing winter day, wearing a mini skit to flaunt her legs. Without the "hero story" shes a nothing. Next encountered her during a "debate" with Joe Walsh. 400 pound sweaty, obnoxious, black chicks, (SEIU and "teachers") shouted Joe down every time he tried to make a point. They each had a desk to sit behind, but on the breaks, the pig rolled up to the front edge of the stage wearing a short skirt and flashing her braces. Driving home, I finally realized that my home state was toast. The state that gave us Lincoln, dirksen and yes even adlai, now elects nothing but ignorant crooks.

The Democrat party’s lunge to the far-left is near completion with presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s pick of Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., as his running mate on Tuesday. She is very much a San Francisco Democrat who assumes more and more obtrusive government rules, mandates and taxes are never enough.(snip)The U.S. economy will be in for a debilitating period of stagnation. Here’s why.Taxes will go up big time. Top tax rates on many high-income earners, for instance, will exceed 50%, hurting capital creation. GQ Magazine was forced to issue a correction after one of its columnists misidentified former segregationist Alabama Gov. George Wallace as a Republican in an effort to smear the GOP as racist. Laura Bassett, who also writes as freelance political reporter, wrote a Wednesday op-ed titled “The Anti-Abortion Movement Was Always Built on Lies,” attempting to chronicle evangelical efforts in building up the pro-life movement. The crux of Bassett’s piece rests on the foundation that the pro-life movement was “bought and paid for the Christian right,” to morph the Republican Party into the pro-life party.

For Mother's Day, I interviewed Craig Shirley about his most recent book, "Mary Ball Washington: The Untold Story of  Story of George Washington's Mother.” Four books on Ronald Reagan, one on Newt Gingrich and one on December 1941 – my own favorite – and now you turn to George Washington’s mother? How did that happen?  Actually, I’d been thinking about a book on Washington for a long time. (Snip) I wanted to get at Washington in a different way and I realized that there had never been written an accurate and detailed biography of his mother.

Periods may be coming to a full stop. While older texters may consider the period an innocent symbol that a sentence has ended, digital natives consider it a triggering form of aggression. The punctuation problem ignited over social media recently, with Gen Z and millennials agreeing that ending a sentence with a period is overly hostile and, worse yet, extremely uncool. “Only old people or troubled souls put periods at the end of every sentence,” wrote digital culture journalist Victoria Turk in her book on digital etiquette “Kill Reply All.”   Corrections*

The NFL is preparing to end the use of military honor guards to present the American flag ahead of the national anthem, according to reports. A league source claims that the policy benching military, federal, and police guards is part of its COVID-19 response, according to Front Office Sports. “They won’t be on the field,” a source told the site. “That could change as the season progresses. But that’s the plan at the beginning.” It appears that there will be no flags on the field and the flag will only appear on electronic scoreboards during the playing of the national anthem, at least for the beginning of the season.

On the eve of the Republican convention, more than two dozen former GOP lawmakers endorsed Joe Biden for president. Trump Derangement Syndrome is spreading faster than COVID-19. Retired Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake makes his case for supporting Biden by claiming Trump “is not conservative,” that Biden “will approach his constitutional role with the reverence and dignity it deserves” and “reach across the aisle.” This is the same argument John Kasich, a former congressman and Ohio governor, made at the Democratic National Convention, when he reassured the public that Biden is “respectful” and won’t “turn sharp left” when he gets in

A new study published to the journal Scientific Reports suggests that moderate alcohol consumption is associated with slightly decreased brain volume. Scientists have long known that heavy alcohol use shrinks the brain, but it's not clear whether or not moderate drinking has a similar effect. Researchers from the University of Helsinki in Finland explored the possible link within a sample of 353 Finnish men and women aged 39 to 45. On average, the subject group reported moderate alcohol consumption, indicated by an AUDIT-C score of 3.92. Such a score is roughly equivalent to drinking two to four times a month, having between three and four drinks a session,
