In politics your friends are more trouble than your enemies. Joe Biden is experiencing this phenomenon right now. Even though Democratic voters and interests detest President Trump to an unprecedented degree, the squabbling factions of their coalition continue to impose demands on Biden and parse every word, making sure he doesn’t violate ideological norms and sensibilities — potentially costing him the presidency. America’s two-party system forces candidates for president to cobble together a big coalition of interests and demographics that sit uncomfortably under a big tent. The result is competing demands and constant jockeying for influence. These interests often lose

Biden can't really attack China because Trump & GOP will slammed Joe with Hunter.
Can't escape that.

Biden's "campaign" ran aground in the basement long ago. Nothing left to sink, it is on the bottom now.

FTA … f Biden is not permitted to launch an attack on a soft target like China — or has to “nuance” his message down to mush — his campaign is in for a world of internal problems.
Yeh Joe get tough on CHINA after Hunter's windfall.

"America’s two-party system forces"
No this is just dems. Part of the reason is that dems support no ethical or moral standards. There is nothing outside your identity to pin your membership on. As Uncle Joe said, if you are real Black or real Hispanic you must be a dem. That is because Republicans are racist, i.e not dems. If you are a real woman. you must be a dem. That is because Republicans are misogynist, i.e. not dems. If you are young you must be a dem. That is because Republicans want you to (shudder) earn what you get, i.e. not dems who are willing to give you free stuff. If you are a real labor member you must be a dem. That is because Republicans hate the working man and want you to become more productive to earn more money, i.e. not a dem who will allow you to coerce your employer into paying more than your labor is worth and destroy his business and your job.
Dem - "a dangerous woke-progressive culture that dictates how people are permitted to act, speak, and engage. A poorly chosen sentence or even the wrong word sends the “wokest” of them into fits of rage." YUP!
Republicans are supposed to have principles that transcend identity and do, kind of. For example, personal freedoms, free enterprise, Constitutional law, sovereignism and patriotism, etc.
"the activists in the Democratic base cannot resist hectoring Biden and his campaign away from doing what he needs to win."
This is a joke. Biden is clueless. Left to himself, Biden would sit in a chair in an empty room and do nothing. Part of the reason be makes so many gaffees is that he has nothing substantial to draw on. His mind casts about, latches on to something, and out it comes. There is no evaluation process as to the nature or appropriateness of what he says. Nor does it matter because tomorrow he will say the opposite of today. He babbles.
The reason that Biden's allies are rushing to take over Biden's "campaign" is that Biden is a vacuum and nature abhors a vacuum.

The problem #8 is Mooch. I am less inclined to think she'll go Veep because she won't want to be associated with
You ain't As Black As Me Biden. The Dems dearly want to put up a Biden/Obama ticket though, especially considering that Old Joe has used up 7 and a half of his 9 lives

Wait until someone makes a commercial talking about Biden's staff contributing to the fund to bail out the rioters. That'll go over big in middle America.

The democrats' only strategy has been to push the same-old same-old on the public and sometimes give it a different name, like Hope 'n Change, etc. Now they are trying that plan with Joe Biden where a semi-fossilized old dinosaur is being packaged as a real candidate. Wake up, dems, it's the same old Joe.

today on Fox News, a large, well, very large black woman, larger than Stacey Abrams and Yamiche from PBS, together on the loading dock scales, read Old Jo Biden's words related to the rioting. The very large black woman was identified as his spokesperson or something.
are his handlers forbidding him to speak in public?

Two party system now means one party has to be pro-American because the other is not.

I have a, to me at least, simple question; Why doesn't Jill Biden take Joe Biden aside and say to him; "It's time to quite. Your no longer up to doing this. Your making a fool out of yourself. Just retire gracefully."
To me it is a total disgrace as to what the Democrats are doing to Joe Biden. He has moved on and they won't let him know it. They, the demonrats are using him as a pawn because they can't find anyone else that is willing to challenge the current President and the FANTASTIC job he has been doing under ALL of the adverse deceit he has to put up with.

There is no Democrat Party left. It has broken up into the gays, the unions, the minorities, butt hurt feminists, abortionists, Antifa, Bernie Bros, etc etc etc. There is no cohesive message and no real platform. The only thing that unites them is America (Trump) hatred. The only tactic they have is to write 8000 page bills in the House that dole out enough taxpayer booty to keep everyone happy. They are despicable.

Two party system? Let's define that Americans and Un-Americans. Joe Biden hasn't accomplished a thing in 40 years and now he comes to life as a leader bigger than President Trump, the fixer, Joe's drool bucket is full.

Biden's removal would really be funny, as it should show the rank-and-file Democrat voter just how little his input actually means to the powers-that-be. All those primaries would have been a complete waste of time and money.

And let us pray that the independent and undecided voters will see the democrats' cozy relationship with protesters and rioters and ask themselves whether or not this is the America that they will choose to inhabit. The leftists have never left 1968 and the democrats are their enablers.

It will be hard to please the Antifa-wing of the Democrat party. For now Dems will just keep Old Joe in lockdown so no one notices the massive fissures in the party.
