In California recently, two emergency room doctors gave a powerful briefing on what’s going on when it comes to the Wuhan virus in their state, our nation, and the world over. The two doctors in the video are Dr. Dan Erickson and Dr. Artin Massihi. Dr. Erickson is a former emergency room (ER) physician who now co-owns Accelerated Urgent Care in Bakersfield, CA. Dr. Massihi is his business partner. Bakersfield is the largest city and the county seat of Kern County, CA. Kern County has a population just over 900,000.

I guess when Donald Trump is President of the US, it warrants anything from the Democrats, liberals, and anti-Trumpers.

I hope this is a Must Read. It deserves to be read by everyone - especially the vaccine hawkers.

Makes good sense--but good sense doesn't make headlines, and it doesn't facilitate the progressive agenda.

I watched the full video of their press conference. Over an hour long, yet highly engaging. These guys appear to know what they're talking about, basing it on 30 years experience on the front lines.

What happened to the regular old flu that kills so many each year?
Did it just disappear or is it now still killing people and being called Wuhan?
When this whole stinking mess is over there will be so many Monday morning quarterbacks claiming we should never have shut down and blaming Trump for doing it that we will be amazed that they were the ones urging the shutdown.

If you watched the video you will see that the media questioning these doctors were very adversarial. They spoke to them somewhat like the press does the President at a briefing. It really is disgraceful what the media has become in this country. These little wet behind the ear know it alls come after anyone in the most smug and snarky way if whatever is said goes against their preconceived narrative. Their minds are closed tightly to the truth or anything that challenges their ideas. These doctors make sense and history will prove them right.

So glad to see this on Lucianne. I watched the video earlier this morning and these guys are right. I am a nurse. Everything these guys said is accurate. In the beginning, it was prudent to lockdown, etc. But as more knowledge is acquired about this virus, we should become smarter, not more afraid. Please, God. Make this stop.

This and the video of these excellent doctors should be read and seen by everyone. Forget the press and bureaucrat experts. These are front line doctors. These are their thoughts and concerns and they echo the thoughts and concerns of millions of doctors and nurses.
President Trump needs to stop listening to guaranteed government paycheck lifetime bureaucrat experts and start listening to the folks who care for the sick, stare illness in the face, and treat patients every single day as their life's calling.

You don't quarantine the healthy, lock up the innocent, furlough doctors and nurses, or close hospitals. Who came up with that idea? And who would allow that idea to become policy? It is incredible to me that it has been so, and all with no debate, not consideration that there might be other options, nothing. Just keep quiet and stay in your homes with masks and gloves, no questions asked. I can't believe this has happened.

At this point, antibody test developers have rushed forward these tests and they have not been subjected to the kind of rigorous and frustratingly slow validation for SPECIFICITY to the Wuhan flu that would normally be required before approval.
The antibody tests are created to detect antibodies to Wuhan flu, but they may also be detecting antibodies to one or more other corona viruses. Rushing things through often makes for erroneous results in science.
I would like to believe that it is true that the Wuhan flu has moved widely through the population without many knowing it, and perhaps it will eventually prove to be true. But, I am skeptical that we now actually know the truth. There seems to be a real chance that this duality is better explained by common antibodies with another corona virus with mild symptoms, as strain of the common cold.
The historic example of this being true is the cowpox and smallpox viruses. Milk maids who had contracted cowpox in the late 1700s were known to be immune to smallpox. The viruses are distinct, cowpox is much milder, yet the antibodies to cowpox protect against smallpox. Cowpox was used as a vaccination for smallpox - showing how perfect the one virus mimicked the other, close enough to create common antibodies. Could it be happening again?
Perhaps antibodies to a particular strain of common cold protect against the Wuhan flu in the same way.....AND fool the hastily made antibody tests seeking to discover how many 'secretly' had Wuhan flu.
I bounced this off of my research microbiologist professor friend, he agreed that a commonality of surface proteins between Wuhan and another corona virus could result in people having pre-existing resistance to Wuhan flu. The correlary is people could be also showing false positives for "Wuhan flu" antibodies, which in some (many?, most?) may actually be antibodies to a particular strain of common cold.
I am not wedded to this theory, but it could well be the case, and we may be still being fooled by this virus.

The leftist and liberal Democrat and liberal media mantras in all this has been from the get-go that the economy must be shutdown until everyone, the 330 million people in the USA, are tested for the virus, which would be an impossible task allowing the Democrats and the media to keep moving the testing goalposts. Remember a person could test negative one day and then positive the next day. Of course the reason for that is that the Democrats believe that the longer the US economy stays shutdown the more likely that President Trump will be defeated in the upcoming November election.
In that respect the Democrats and their media minions have been blaming Trump for not immediately having enough specific medical diagnostic tests readily available to test all Americans from the get-go, ignoring the facts that beyond a couple of months past, the Chinese virus was unknown outside of China, and that before there could be accurate tests, that the virus had to be identified in US laboratories, that the test reactant chemicals had to be bio medically engineered, manufactured, and distributed across the country, along with enough testing machines. Then an army of medical technicians would have to be found, and trained to both administer the tests and to process the results of tests in laboratories across the country. So you can see that what the Democrats and their liberal media aliens have been telling America has been a load of hogwash, especially in blaming Trump for the insufficient amount of testing materials to test all Americans from the start and even now.
The Democrats and their media propagandists have been doing everything they can do to panic the general population, starting with causing the toilet paper panic that caused a huge amount of buying and the hoarding of toilet paper, and now they are moving on attempting to start a second panic which could cause the hoarding of meat, and a shortage of certain meat products across the country.
The best thing to do is ignore the doom and gloom Democrats and their media minions, and instead prudently follow medical guidelines, keep calm, and carry on.

I am surprised anyone printed this story. We have a doctor in Longwood, FL who was able to do the test early on and can now test for antibodies. Do you think anybody returns his calls?
All of this is about the election in Nov and delaying it.

The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) jointly and emphatically condemn the recent opinions released by Dr. Daniel Erickson and Dr. Artin Massihi. These reckless and untested musings do not speak for medical societies and are inconsistent with current science and epidemiology regarding COVID-19. As owners of local urgent care clinics, it appears these two individuals are releasing biased, non-peer reviewed data to advance their personal financial interests without regard for the public’s health.
COVID-19 misinformation is widespread and dangerous. Members of ACEP and AAEM are first-hand witnesses to the human toll that COVID-19 is taking on our communities. ACEP and AAEM strongly advise against using any statements of Drs. Erickson and Massihi as a basis for policy and decision making.
