The 21-year-old admits Thurman warned her about the dangers in Hollywood, (snip)“We’re in our 20s, we’re supposed to be having fun, and doing drugs and partying. But instead … We’re going to SoulCycle and trying to outlive our planet. We have a horrible president, and it’s just really irritating. They really f–ked us.”

So how about you make a change, Sweetie-pie, beginning with you? Step 1: Stop blaming others for all your problems.
And your “first-world problems” are embarrassing. Take a tour of Calcutta or Haiti and after you’ve volunteered there for a year or so, come back and tell us how rough you’ve got it.

OH, JEEZ, whoever you are, EVERY generation since the "Greatest Generation" has said that. BOOMERS even said that about their "Greatest Generation" parents.
At least TRY to come up with something ORIGINAL about parent's generations, something that's never been said before!

Maya is just to genophobic. It's always the generation and not the parents. Instead of blaming an entire generation blame the parents. Remember the Mayan's sacrificed their sons and daughters. If the shoe fits . . .

Hate to tell you but your parents and the Hollywood culture that they promote is one of the major problems in America today. Hollywood promotes sexual promiscurity in their movies and lives. They think taking their clothes off and posing like Playboy bunnies is good for everyone to look at. Even the older actresses and actors are taking pictures of themselves with nothing on but a thong. What is the value of that! They actually keep the drug trade alive and well by taking so many drugs and making movies about it. They create violence and rape as entertainment in the movies they produce and act in. Didn't Uma star in Kill Bill which is one of the most evil and violent movies produced. I don't have enough room to write all I think about the trash in Hollywood. Beam me up.

So she's stating that her generation is "supposed to be doing drugs and partying" (I guess she means SHOULD BE ENTITLED to do such), but instead is doing . . . . . what? WAAAAAAH BOOO HOOO! Sure glad my dad and his fellow soldiers (in their 20's or younger) coming ashore at Anzio didn't view life that way. Not only is this poor girl ignorant, but she's not blessed with the beauty to even be what she thinks is a movie star, is she?

Oh yes they did that eff'd thing to you as evidenced by your falling for the climate change propaganda hook line and sinker while remaining clueless regarding the destruction of freedom and the economic engine that liberty facilitated while committing you to the burden of a debt that you and your children couldn't pay off in a lifetime of virtual slavery.
You've been had, your generation has been sold out, and you don't have a clue as to who did what and how.

“We’re in our 20s, we’re supposed to be having fun, and doing drugs and partying. When my father was in his 20's, he was having the time of his life in a recon unit, the 101st Mechanized Cavalry, taking the Grand Tour of southern Germany looking for Hitler's alleged Alpine Redoubt...amongst other things. His 20's, and my mother's, were pretty much for (Expletive) so that your parents and now you could live the sort of jaded lives that you undeservedly lead....but I never heard them bemoan their lives like you do. They certainly had a right to do so...You have none, so stuff it, kid.

The only thing that I agree with this spoiled brat is that yes, her parent screwed her up. To sit there and say "We should be having fun, doing drugs and partying". This is apparently the high life and all that they think they should be doing. What about charity work, not money, actually helping the poor? What about working and producing something real? I pity and have contempt for these rich idlers.

The only thing effed up is their brains, disinformed, misinformed, stupid and ignorant.
I have lived almost three score and ten and the world is just as wonderful as when I was 10 years old. Only the cities and these insane city folks are wierd and messed up. All the REAL world is just fine, and much cleaner now than when I was a kid. Lots of oil, natural gas, housing is pretty affordable around here, cars are far safer, much, much more comfortable and quiet.
They are just sad, sad fools. And I don't spend any time worrying about there foolishness.

No, Maya; your parents f'ed each other when they were having fun and doing drugs and partying (like you feel you should be doing), and your sense of being screwed up comes largely from a spawning instinct that fills you with the urge to imitate them, just as society is beginning to reject their way of life.

WoW! My wife and I abstained from alcohol, tobacco and all kinds of drugs. We made our kids work for what they got, fund their own educations with hard work and helped the two younger with a modest loan for down payment on their homes. They have all been drug-free, all the dads support their families well and they drive sensible cars like we do. I wonder what we missed out on?

The scrawled ravings of a Hollywood rich kid aren't news or a place to look to for insight on anything. The news here is how desperate NY media is for every little bit of attention. The media has always been a whore for attention. Usually they make up a story or twist some actual event into a wildly obscene lie. Given the amount of time and attention the media owners have put into covering every bit of 'celebrity' for the past 50 years, what some stupid kid of 2 stupid actors says, becomes a page one exclusive. A perfect example of just how intellectually empty and fundamentally broken our media is today.

It seems like Hollywood is on a different planet. Our older generation apparently destroyed the environment, but during our lifetime we had no wars, no plagues and no pandemics. We had it so easy, and life is so hard for poor Maya 'cause she can't party and do drugs all the time, 'cause she has to worry so much about the environment. What a sorry life, and such an ignorant girl.

It's so tough to be 21 and brainless. Go ahead and do drugs and party. Someone will scrape you off the street in a few years. What a waste.

Honey, your parents screwed you because they did not pass on one single positive value to you and your counterparts. And, it's not their "generation" -- it's their community -- the Hollywood community. They search for meaning where there is none and then pass along platitudes and political correctness and you wonder why you are left feeling empty.
