Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said Wednesday he is suspending his 2020 presidential campaign, bowing to the commanding delegate lead former Vice President Joe Biden has established. Sanders made the announcement during an all-staff conference call. He will give public remarks at 11:45 a.m. ET, his campaign says. Sanders' decision comes weeks after the coronavirus pandemic upended the Democratic race. The worsening outbreak delayed primary contests and the party's nominating convention and has halted all in-person campaigning, forcing the two candidates to hold virtual events from their respective homes. Sanders suspended his campaign after voters went to the polls Tuesday

I'm guessing Bernie now has a 4th home. In the Bahamas. Free and clear.

His stimulus for "giving up" is on the way. Bet he gets his before any of the rest of the country gets theirs.
Coffers are full, time to retire, Bernie boy!

Setting the stage for an unnecessary Dem Convention which may be reduced to a 'virtual' event. Might as I might have wished it, a physical gathering would likely have given rise to a another round of Covid-19 just as occurred in the Fall of 1918.

Well......that's disapointing....lol
But yeah.......what did Bernie get out of this?

Setting the stage for a trusted, establishment third-party "moderate" to jump in with some "unity" challenge, pulling the "moderate" Dems and "moderate" NeverTrump Republicans out of the proverbial political ditch PDT has dug for them, dumping AOC and The Squad radicals by the roadside. Now, who could this "moderate" be...? A guy who gets big things done. A man of 24-karat accomplishment. An independent, pragmatic thinker and doer. A former governor in a deep blue, "moderate" state like Massachusetts. Like, maybe saved the Olympics once...that sort of thing.

Bernie the Cowardly Lion just ruined my prediction of a deadlocked convention. In the end, it turns out he didn't care about anything but money - for his corrupt wife, crooked stepdaughter, bast*rd son, who all probably made some serious campaign siphoned dollars.
but all gravy trains must come to an end.
So, Bernie, good bye. And shut up. No one cares what you have to say.
And you will have to live the rest of your life knowing that you lost the nomination for the highest office, first to a fetid felon, and second, to delaware dementia patient.
Does the money make up for those embarrassments, Bernie?

The question: what is the plan /who is heir when Joe has a “health event”?
Does Bernie’s current stimulus include “stay away pay,” or does the suspension have to be renegotiated when Gropes can no longer fulfill his duties.
So many more questions than answers. We ain’t done yet.

Just like 2016. Bernie is like the dog who barks and growls until he figures out you're gonna give him a treat. Then he rolls over and lets you rub his belly.

Another Marxist down! Bernie is a destructive man, a danger to society. We can never let our guard down; this Communist and any others must be defeated at all costs. Remember the Communist Chinese Virus.

I’m convinced that the old commie was just in it for the bucks and never wanted the nomination at all - or else he would be all over the media pointing g out Biden’s obvious mental incapacities and physical health issues. Bottom line - he’s a greedy coward.

Captain Grumpy is gone for now, but not gone enough! He can still spew more you-know-what while looking angry at the world. The trouble is he can't retire because he has nothing he can do. Besides, he can still pick up a few more bucks as a senator. He still has to pay taxes on his three homes!

This was kind of a shock today for some reason. Have to wonder what his price was to do this, and how are his supporters going to react to this news? Are they going to see it as another DNC betrayal?

did anyone believe for a second that sanders really wanted to win. He MIGHT have, but running for election is how bernie and his wife make their money. Most of his campaign money is put into some kind of company the wife owns. Then they just keep it when he drops out Nothing but a big scam.

If, as a poster above suggests, he now has a fourth home in the Bahamas or similar location, he will be needing a Gulfstream in which to shuttle back and forth. I mean, between there, and trips back here to make trouble and spout Marxist BS. That's what his leftover campaign war-chest can go for.

The only movement Bernie can take credit for is in his bowels. He did uncover how many Americans can't be responsible on their own, so we owe him that. About the best thing Bernie did was to show us how much Civics should be taught in school.
Nothing is free. Not school, not medical care, nothing.

Bernie's entire life has been to spout Marxist BS to people who are stupider than him and then cash out his chips.
Not as good at it as Joe Biden but a nice profit nonetheless.

Who cares, it was the Democrat machine that killed Bernie and his campaign and not Biden. If Bernie was on the up and up Bernie would be telling his supporters that truth, but he won’t.
Bernie probably figures that he beat his gums and his currently dead horse of a campaign as far as he could, while making a lot of money through corrupt campaign manipulations, and who knows a big payoff at the end to make himself scarce. If Biden does not select Bernie as his Vice-President, Bernie’s supporters have a good reason to come further unglued.
