#2, there is a silver lining indeed. Maybe we will be safer from Pelosi who likes to launch investigations.

Like we say in Texas, no man's life, liberty or property is safe when the legislature is in session.

Good news. Old saying, "Congress is in session and no man is safe in his home."
If they aren't in session - they can't harm us any more.

Why would a month off be any different than any other time of the year?

I am not sick with the virus, but I am sick with politicians. I can't bear anymore "we are concerned about you" comments from the bunch of them. Please forget about me and my business. I can take care of it, without any government "help".

Heck, if they'd stay home, I'd let 'em double their pay. Of course, they'd have to cut their staff down to 10% of the current bloated congressional bureaucracy.

If they are able to stay away from Washington DC for a month (not doing their jobs), they are apparently non-essential employees. Maybe they should be eliminated for good. Also, hopefully they will stop being media whores and stay away from the news media while they are out of Washington DC.

good quote, #3, but wrong author.
Gideon tucker wrote that in 1866. (Mark Twain-Samuel Clemens has more sayings incorrectly attributed to him than anyone.)

Please go and yes, extend your paid vacation. Just imagine what President Trump can do with executive orders in your absence. Does that scare you? It didn't scare you when the Kenyan Girlie Man did it and he didn't even wait for Congress to leave.

Good. Now it’s time to melt their home office phone lines to demand that they speak out against governors, mayors and city managers who are behaving like total fascists. Federalism doesn’t stop our GOP congressional members from demanding our first amendment rights are protected from the tyrannical edicts of local politicians.

1. In the name of decency, avoid microphones for at least a month.
2. If you are going to sell your large stock holdings again, please tell us about the secret briefings that made you act.
3. Please stop dreaming of mad ways to spend our money. Thanks to both parties, we’re now $25 trillion in debt with another $125 trillion in unfunded liabilities.
4. Please donate 50% of the speaker honorariums (bribes) you’ll pick up during this hiatus to the US Treasury. No one is paying you $200,000 per speech for the drivel you spew. The money is a payment for favors.
