DEARBORN, Mich. — The second highest, hardest glass ceiling is pretty good too, right? With the Democratic presidential nominee all but certain to be a man, party activists, elected officials and voters are setting their sights on the biggest consolation prize in American politics: the vice presidency. (Snip) “There must be a woman on this ticket,” said Cecile Richards, a longtime abortion rights activist and a founder of Supermajority. “What is really important to see is representation, a commitment to the issues that women care about and a commitment to do something about it.” The selection of a female vice

Aren't there any infants' rights activists who are female and could be vice president?

That's the only way one of the terrible women candidates from the Democrats bench can become Pres... make them the VP of a half-dead old man with dementia.! Perfect!

I'm going to go with Chelsea Clinton as their pick. She does have a PH.D from Oxford you know, so they can call her Dr. Clinton during the campaign.

FTA:
“What is really important to see is representation, a commitment to the issues that women care about and a commitment to do something about it.”
Thus, she's admitting Democrats have NOT had a commitment to those issues, so far, right?
And, didn't have any real commitment to do something about them either, it seems.
Which also means Hillary and others have just played lip-service to the issues they claim are important.

Yet more identity politics drivel from Democrats.
Voters should select political officeholders based on QUALIFICATIONS and POLICIES, not body parts or race.
All female and black Democrat candidates for the Democrat nomination were rejected by voters in the primaries. I see NO evidence that they were rejected on ANY basis other than their lack of qualifications and unacceptable policies.

Irrelevant. The Dems, whoever they might wind up being, will lose in November.

There are no liberal women qualified to be VP. Will he pick one that already flamed out in the primaries hoping she will be more popular in the general? Does he really think people will come out in droves for Stacy Abrams knowing that she would likely end up being President? Any woman Biden picked would be an obvious pander and evidence that he Is already following the media’s orders before he has even won the election. He’s stuck.

I'm torn. I can see Hillary becoming the candidate in a brokered convention after Biden brings the most delegates to Milwaukee but self destructs from his demonstrable loss of already challenged cognitive function and his corruption, lets say Ukraine although that's just a small part. If Biden tests better in the polls than a hypothetical Hillary as the brokered candidate, then Hillary's power play is as VP and Joe suddenly becoming distraught over his wife and son's death and choosing to join them by shooting himself in the back of the head.

Voters should never lose sight of the fact that the veep nominee would likely become president if Biden is elected--- God forbid---- given his mental health and age. Abrams, Harris, Clinton as president would be a nightmare--- what female Dem would not be?

#17...it's a virtual certainty, which puts more importance on the VP pick than the ticket topper. Very dangerous.

I think they should CANCEL the Dimocrat Convention in Milwaukee. Corona!!! That way, the Hildabeest would be denied her last opportunity to waddle onstage and destroy everyone's hearing.
Agree with posters: you can't choose a candidate simply on genitalia. And #14, apropos of another posted news story, Kamala is Meghan Markle in about 20 years. As Kim Jong-Il said in "Team America: World Police": True Ugriness!

Hillary has been auditioning for weeks ....she’s on TV 24/7. Surely Biden won’t select her!

The trick will be to nominate a woman sacrificial nominee that won't mind being the chosen loser, like Mondale was chosen to lose gracefully against Reagan.
That means Mooch Obama is out (but possibly in for 2024 as presidential nominee for 2024).
I suggest Stacy Abrams ( I've got a bit of a weight problem) or Kamala (I slept my way to the top) Harris. Both are universally hated on left and right.
Decisions...decisions. Joe O'Biden feels your pain.

A "consolation prize" as VP...just what the country needs for a VP. I suspect the consolation prize has to be just as corrupt as the demonrat presidential selectee.
