Juan Williams: Bernie Sanders'
candidacy is looking a lot like Trump's
did in 2016

As Democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., builds momentum after a New Hampshire primary victory, “The Five” co-host Juan Williams said on Tuesday that the feat looks similar to the rise of President Trump four years ago. “He sure looks a lot like a guy named Donald Trump in 2016 that people underestimated,” Williams told “Fox & Friends." Williams said that Sanders is a populist just like Trump. "He's a Democratic-populist," Williams said. “His supporters are a mirror of Trump supporters. ... It’s the most incredible thing"

Comments:

What a hilariously obtuse comment from Juan! I mean, the similarities are just breathtaking! People camp out for days in advance of a Trump rally-do Bernie's people camp out too? Trumps rallies are always overflowing-are Bernie's? Trump got a huge turnout in the New Hampshire primary-Bernie's turnout was less than he got in 2016! Yes Juan, your blazing insight nails it! MAGA!

Spin it, Juan! How about backing up Burnin Sandal's remarks that he will raise taxes and make the "rich" pay their fair share as well as give tuition-free college to everyone and cancel out all student loans. That's just for starters. Then he will go into nationalizing all energy companies, open the borders, free healthcare for everyone on earth and put in national rent control. That's just on his first day in office. Tell us, oh wise one, why this will make Sandals similar to Trump.

No Juan. President Trump campaigned on making America great again. Sanders is campaigning on the opposite. He would take us even farther back than Obama's New Normal. People who refuse to learn and know about the horrors of socialism and communism are the truly ignorant and apathetic. All they know is that stuff would be ''free!'' They don't understand that nothing is free. I suspect that, due to our failed education system, they never heard or understood the old cliché that there is ''no free lunch!''

CHICAGO -- The brutal beating of a 68-year-old man by 11 teens on a passenger train here Monday was captured in a disturbing, graphic video obtained by Fox News. The Chicago Police Department told Fox News the beating is under investigation, but no one is in custody because the victim “was unable to identify his attacker(s) due to his injuries.” A police source told Fox that the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office “wouldn’t touch” the case if the victim can’t identify those accused or is unable to cooperate. When reached about prosecuting the case, state’s attorney's office responded: "We are unable to comment."

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., has been a loud and constant voice for socialist policies throughout his 30 years in Washington, D.C., a self-proclaimed champion of the collective good. But in researching my new book, "Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Political Elite," I discovered that while Sanders may talk about the common good, his public service has made him and his family quite wealthy. Perhaps no one has benefited more from Sanders’s career in politics than his wife Jane.

They are Democrats Rep. Adam Schiff, chair of the Intelligence Committee, and Rep. Jerry Nadler, chair of the Judiciary Committee. Now that as many as six serious Democratic candidates remain in the race, pundits increasingly believe the party is headed for a brokered convention. Hold on to your hats if that happens, because it’s even more complicated than it sounds. Presidential nominating conventions used to be “brokered” because the delegates were largely appointed by — and loyal to — political bosses. Delegates voted on multiple ballots as rivals vied for the bosses’ favor, making the quadrennial events the political equivalent of reality television. You could never be sure which governor or senator would be voted off the island and which would become the ultimate survivor.
