A few hundred concerned citizens huddled in a gymnasium in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood hoping for answers from police about a recent spate of robberies in the downtown area and other parts of the Near North Side. Police sought to bring a sense of calm while appealing for help from the standing room-only crowd that overflowed into the lobby of the Lake Shore Park field house.
“We are having people sitting in their cars targeting people and drive around. You see the same car drive around four or five times. That is something that we need to know,” Chicago police

FTA: 'Robberies have more than doubled in the last five years in this swath of Chicago’s central business district and some of the city’s most affluent neighborhoods, including Gold Coast, Streeterville, Magnificent Mile, River North and several others.' Like Willie Sutton said: because that's where the money is! Maybe now that the rich, connected, liberal Eloi are being victimized by the Moorlocks, something will be done about it.

The safest place to live in Chicago? Well, there's no safe place to live in Chicago.

It takes a lot to get their attention, apparently.

Leakage out of the south side, most likely.

To all you old folks who remember LaVerne Baker (1956) and Charles Bronson (1974) , sing along with me: "Paul Kersey to the rescue. . .Paul Kersey to the rescue. . .Paul Kersey to the rescue. . .go, Paul Kersey. . .go, Paul Kersey!"

Lori Lightfoot voters, but victimizing the elderly is still maddening.

FTA:
"Victims should try their best to remember a suspect’s description. Accurately recalling three features would be better than 10 vague ones, police said."
I'm thinking a few .45 in holes might serve as good identifiable features. But alas my travels to that local require me to enter facilities where the powers that be think they are safer if I'm not armed.

It's so bad out here that news from the blogs (SCC, CWB Chicago) has finally made it into the MSM.

It's simply shocking that it's January and one can't wear one's mink or sable without fear of losing one's diamonds. Whatever do we pay these police persons for ?

When there's nothing left to steal in the poor and middle class neighborhoods, the donuffins move on up to the East Side, looking for their piece of the pie!

Sorry no sympathy for any of you. You have kept these communists in power for decades and now that alligator that you have been feeding has decided to break its chains and come to your nicely manicured neighborhoods. Your pleas for help will fall on deaf ears because you have stripped yourselves of all protections and have neutered your watchdogs. You got what you wished for, a lawless land of nightmares.

I guess marginalizing the police and paying higher and higher taxes to the corrupt government officials isn't working out for the wealthy elites as they had hoped.

These libtards in their swanky neighborhood kept voting for demonrats and their "hug the thugs" policy, so they're finally receiving what they voted for. They have no right to complain.

Gee, I dunno, Wally. Maybe if we didn't treat strong-armed robbery as a misdemeanor......
