INDIANOLA, Iowa - Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden accused rival Bernie Sanders's campaign on Saturday of disseminating a "doctored" video edited to falsely appear to show the former vice president supporting cutting Social Security, and called on the Sanders campaign to disown it. In response, Sanders' campaign refused to back down and continued to cite the video as evidence that Biden wants to limit the government-run retirement and disability program. With about two weeks until the primary selection process kicks off in Iowa, Sanders and his campaign have ramped up their attacks on opponents, escalating their criticism of Biden and fellow

Back when Slick Willie ran against Bob Dole Slick altered a video of Dole. Dole said "I have always opposed Social Security Cuts." Slick and his goons cut the word Cuts and played it as Dole saying "I have always opposed Social Security." Quid Pro Joe doesn't remember where he is much less what he said in the past. Even if you believe it you'd have to wait to see if he meant it. Hopefully we'll never find out.

A few hundred concerned citizens huddled in a gymnasium in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood hoping for answers from police about a recent spate of robberies in the downtown area and other parts of the Near North Side. Police sought to bring a sense of calm while appealing for help from the standing room-only crowd that overflowed into the lobby of the Lake Shore Park field house. “We are having people sitting in their cars targeting people and drive around. You see the same car drive around four or five times. That is something that we need to know,” Chicago police

TEHRAN, Iran — The Iranian official leading the investigation into the Ukrainian jetliner that was accidentally shot down by the Revolutionary Guard appeared to backtrack Sunday on plans to send the flight recorders abroad for analysis, a day after saying they would be sent to Kyiv. It's a stereotype, but it's true — Canada's winters are cold. And many of us stay toasty by burning fossil fuels such as natural gas in our furnaces or the boilers that feed our radiators. In an effort to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions and meet targets to reduce global warming, the U.K. has proposed banning fossil fuel-based heating in new homes by 2025. Cities in the states of California, Washington and Massachusetts are also trying to phase out natural gas. If your home is hooked up to a district heating system, where a utility supplies heat directly, you may

WASHINGTON — No cellphones. No talking. No escape. That's the reality during the Senate's impeachment trial of President Donald Trump, which will begin each day with a proclamation: “All persons are commanded to keep silence, on pain of imprisonment.” After that, 100 senators will sit at their desks for hours on end to hear from House prosecutors, Trump’s defense team and possibly a series of witnesses. The first time the proclamation was used, in the 1868 trial of President Andrew Johnson, lawmakers couldn’t have imagined life in the modern era. The pace of today's politics would have been hard to

FLORENCE, S.C. — Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, who has been criticized for his slow outreach to black and other minority voters, has rearranged his schedule to make room for events in early-voting South Carolina that honor Martin Luther King Jr. Buttigieg’s campaign said in a statement Saturday night that the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, “looks forward to being with the citizens and leaders of Columbia” as they celebrate the federal holiday that commemorates the late civil rights leader. Buttigieg had already committed to attend a King celebration in South Bend, but shifted his plans to include the

Prince Harry has spoken of his 'great sadness that it has come to this' as he breaks his silence this evening over Megxit and laments it was not possible to find the new life he wanted. Tens of thousands of people converged in the streets of Richmond, Virginia, on Monday to protest their right to bear arms in the face of swingeing state gun control laws set to be enacted later this year.
