Legendary horror author Stephen King is facing backlash on Tuesday for his commentary on this year's Oscar nominations, stressing that the "quality" of the art should matter over "diversity." On Monday, the Oscar nominations were revealed, and the Academy was slammed for both not having any female nominees for Best Director and for the numerous snubs of people of color among the other categories. King weighed in on the controversy on Twitter. "As a writer, I am allowed to nominate in just 3 categories: Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Original Screenplay. This simply supports the contention of many that these awards don't mean a darn thing in today's world. There was a time when the quality of art was paramount and the honor of holding an Oscar actually had meaning. Now, everyone must get a trophy so no one goes home feeling sad. The Left is doing everything it can to bring our country to its knees. Victimhood reigns supreme.

His point is correct-only quality should matter. If critics have an issue with the candidates in the awards categories, go tell it to the Academy. Hard to vote for a black person if there are no blacks to vote for. But also, be prepared to accept that no person should be included just because of his skin color. THAT is the part where liberals lose their minds.

The entirety of Hollywood's worthless output should consist of black homosexuals for all positive and neutral roles, with straight white people comprising any foolish or evil roles. Likewise all beauty pageants (though the winners already are chosen this way). Then move to politics, black only. All in the name of diversity and tolerance, because in the words of the famed rapist enabler and woman abuser whose name adorns street signs in every city in the USA, we should be judged by the content of our character, not the color of our skin.

Suggesting that non-whites should be nominated regardless of the quality of their work is racist on its face. Democrats never see the hypocrisy of this. That’s why they decided that if you did not note for Obama you must be racist. No, voting for him because he’s black was racist. Same with the Oscars.

The families of the Iran plane crash victims — most of them Canadians or heading to Canada — are still in the depths of mourning for their relatives. But that hasn’t stopped Tehran from closely monitoring and harassing family living in the country, using release of the victims’ remains as leverage, various sources allege. A Democratic presidential campaign field that was once touted as the most diverse in history has been whittled down to six candidates on its debate stage, all of them white. For Oakland Democratic Rep. Barbara Lee, that’s a problem. Lee says the Democratic National Committee’s rules for determining who can participate in its presidential debates is “systematically discriminatory” against people of color. To qualify for Tuesday’s debate in Iowa, a candidate had to receive contributions from 225,000 donors nationally and receive at least 7% support in two polls from the early-voting states — Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina
