A Denver talk radio show has been canceled after one of its cohosts said on air that he hoped "a nice school shooting" would interrupt news coverage of "the never-ending impeachment of Donald Trump." Chuck Bonniwell, cohost of the Chuck & Julie show on 710 KNUS, made the comments roughly 22 minutes into the show Tuesday afternoon -- drawing backlash from the families of some Colorado shooting victims. “All right, Chuck Bonniwell, Julie Hayden here, a little after 1:30, talking about the never-ending impeachment of Donald Trump,” Bonniwell said, according to the Colorado Times Recorder. “You know, you wish for a nice school shooting."

Comments:

What an unthinking, cavalier comment from the MSM. His mistake was to openly say it-how many lefty's think things like this, or worse? It's also an indication of the breathtaking arrogance & condescension from the Left. You just know that Omar, Cortez, and Tliab all think just like this as well.

What a shame. Here in Colorado, the Chuck & Julie show was always very highly regarded. Chuck's mouth got ahead of his brain with this comment. I wonder if an on-air apology mandated by management would have been the way to go, but, too late now. How come the show's producer didn't hit the censor button to keep it off the air?

And another janefonda apology...FTA...''I made an inappropriate comment meant as a joke. I’m sorry it was not received that way'," He should have stopped after the word joke. Blaming your listeners for what YOU said isn't the way to apologize.

Rudy Giuliani has taken a lot of flak from both parties, so let’s hope he is on solid ground here. Given the fact he used to be the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Rudy certainly knows a lot about evidence. He’s been tweeting, and last night went on Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show for a 15 minute segment (entire segment is embedded at the bottom of this blog), with the key 3 ½ minutes here:

Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed in a new interview that when his son Hunter was a board member of Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings while he was in office, no one informed him that it could pose a problem. Biden insisted again that Hunter did nothing wrong, but this time appeared to fault his staff for not cluing him in that there could be concerns about his son's involvement with the foreign company that had been under investigation while Biden was in office and dealing with Ukraine policy.

A prestigious Ohio college is defending a memorial put up by students honoring the lives of Palestinian radical Islamic terrorists killed by Israel's military. Citing free speech, Oberlin College gave the green light to an anti-Israel display commemorating "unarmed Palestinian civilians" killed in Gaza airstrikes earlier this month. Israel Defense Forces said the strikes killed 25 members of the terrorist group, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, an Iran-backed group that has previously taken credit for suicide bombings targeting Israeli civilians.

Sea level rise, a trend that predates the Industrial Revolution, is being blamed on CO2 emissions, and has become one of the most potent harangues used to guilt-trip the populace of major industrial countries over the use of carbon-based energy. (Mysteriously China and India, whose expanding carbon footprints dwarf the expensive reductions engineered with Teslas, windmills, and vegan diets in the West, are largely exempted from criticism.)

Rock legend Bruce Springsteen took aim at President Trump in a new interview Friday, saying the president doesn't "grasp" the meaning of being an American. In an interview on "CBS This Morning," host Gayle King asked Springsteen about a recent Trump rally in which the president bragged that his election victory in 2016 was accomplished without the support of celebrities like Springsteen, Beyoncé and Jay-Z. "You surprised that he's trash-talking you after all this time?" King asked. "Not really. Anything's possible," the New Jersey musician responded. King noted that "a lot of people are very concerned about the direction of the country," with Springsteen agreeing that it's a "very frightening time" in America.
