Republicans mount ad blitz on impeachment,

Republicans are dramatically outspending Democrats on impeachment-related ads on Facebook and television, illustrating how fully the GOP has embraced the issue as a political winner as public opinion remains split on the House effort to remove the president. The ad blitz has worried some Democrats in swing districts who are being painted as do-nothing, pro-impeachment radicals. The Democrats have been urging party leaders for weeks to strike back with their own countermessage, to no avail. Over the past month, GOP candidates have used anti-impeachment messages to try to recruit new supporters, and independent big-money groups boosting Republicans have launched roughly

Comments after articles always have "concern trolls" who claim Mitch McConnell has the 20 votes necessary to convict our VSGPOTUS and that it will happen. Mitch may be that dumb, but FTA: "Meanwhile, GOP big-money groups are in lockstep with their anti-impeachment messaging, running ads where the Trump campaign or the national party are not and reflecting a similar tone and content as the president’s campaign" If McConnell even attempts to play that hand he will seriously regret it - No more money for you Mitch! That sucking sound you hear? Hysterical democrats whining about hairy legs.

Mitch and his GOPe gang will never see any articles of impeachment. That circus will pack and leave town before long. It has no traction, and is apparently helping drive up PDT's "approval" nationwide. It's all over but the pontificating and punditry. Without an impeachment threat, the GOPe may be seriously attempting to grab the majority in the upcoming House elections after forfeiting it for this sinking Titanic in '18. Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler have proven themselves incapable antagonists. That does not mean the Dump Trump coalition is dead. Far from it. Wile E. Coyote always has that Acme catalog at hand...so does the UNIPARTY.

American Bridge, one of the leftist groups, is running a local (Erie, Pa) ad against DJT. In the ad, a local realtor says he voted for Trump in 2016, but Trump has not helped Erie, but 'put gas on the fire.'( I don't know what that means.) So the realtor is not going to vote for Trump in 2020. One problem - the realtor didn't vote at all in 2016, according to election records. And when the local news people contacted the realtor, he refused to talk with them.

The Dems are not running ads as they don't have the money to spend. The Trump campaign, and the Republican party are out raising the Dems by several magnitudes. Many Dems are worried about this but you won't see that on MSNBC or in the WaPoo.

What Republicans need to do is set up a broadcast blitz of that Joe Biden clip bragging about holding up money to get the Ukrainian prosecutor fired. It's real, it's true, it's what Trump was referring to in the transcript. And it's exactly the "crime" Dems are accusing Trump of doing.

As House Democrats continue to increase the pressure in their impeachment inquiry of President Trump, his numbers are rising in battleground states where he’s now ahead of the top polling Democrats in the 2020 field. Mr. Trump saw a more than a four-point boost in his numbers when compared to the Democratic frontrunner former Vice President Joe Biden in the state of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, according to polling done last week by Firehouse Strategies compared to its prior polling earlier this year. In March Mr. Trump was down 12 points compared to Mr. Biden in Wisconsin, seven points in

Miami - A Saudi military student reportedly condemned America as a "nation of evil" in an online manifesto prior to opening fire Friday at a US naval base, killing three people before being shot dead by police. The shooting, which took place in a classroom building at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida, left eight others wounded, including two sheriff's deputies who responded to the attack. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said the shooter was from Saudi Arabia -- the same nationality as 15 of the 19 men involved in the 9/11 attacks, some of whom attended civilian flight school in Florida.

In the spring and fall migration seasons each year, billions of birds wind through the central U.S. as they soar the skies between Latin America and Canada. For many, the journey is deadly. Recent research from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in New York estimates that a whopping 600 million birds in the U.S. die every year after crashing into tall buildings. And for traveling birds, Chicago — where a skyline of glass and steel stretches across a heavily trafficked migration route — may be the most perilous of all U.S. cities. Many strike the windows of McCormick Place, the largest convention

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg referred to New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, a black opponent for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, as "well spoken," a comment that, like Joe Biden's 2007 faint praise of rival Barack Obama as "articulate and bright," drew criticism. Bloomberg, 77, addressed the presidential prospects of Booker, 50, in a CBS interview aired Friday morning. Before winning his Senate seat in a 2013 special election, Booker was mayor of Newark, just west of New York City. “Cory Booker endorsed me a number of times, and I endorsed Cory Booker a number of times. WASHINGTON — The Democratic presidential contest in California remains extremely fluid — but not enough, at least so far, to provide an opening for Michael Bloomberg, who entered the race two weeks ago and was banking on winning big in the delegate-rich state, a new poll for the Los Angeles Times has found. Is the ghost of John McCain haunting Senator Lindsey Graham? The South Carolina Senator went on Maria Bartiromo’s Fox News show, Sunday Morning Futures, to throw a wet blanket on conservatives’ dreams of a Senate trial that would get to the bottom of the plot against President Trump. Instead, once the House managers present their case, he wants a quick vote, presumably ending in dismissal of the case. In particular, Graham ruled out calling Adam Schiff to testify.

A Methodist church in Claremont unveiled a nativity scene Saturday night depicting Jesus, Mary and Joseph as refugees in cages, likening one of the most well-known images of the Christmas season to photos that have become synonymous with criticism of the Trump administration’s border separation policies. The display, which has stoked debate on the Facebook page of the church’s lead pastor, shows classic nativity figurines of Joseph and Mary in cages on either side of a cage containing the manger of Jesus. “We see this as, in some ways, the Holy Family standing in for the nameless families,” said the Rev. Many Americans remain nonplussed over revelations in the House Intelligence Committee’s Impeachment Inquiry Report that its chairman, Adam Schiff, not only secretly subpoenaed telephone records from President Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, but also obtained responses that detailed dates and lengths of phone calls to Trump attorney Jay Sekulow, ranking committee member Devin Nunes, and Hill reporter John Solomon. That Schiff self-disclosed this action as a rightful part of his committee’s information gathering is equally stunning. Every bit as bad, it appears that national telephone carriers AT&T and Verizon, who so tout their corporate concerns about subscriber privacy, responded to such obviously politicized demands without a whimper.

Portland, Oregon, like many cities on the left coast, is struggling with a growing homelessness crisis. But what can they do about it? One idea that’s now being floated is to change the building codes so that all new structures (including private property, not just government buildings) include spaces for people to “rest” and “feel welcome and safe.” This understandably has prospective property owners concerned, since the wording is all quite vague and suggests that they will be forced to allow the homeless to camp in and around their buildings.
