Hold on There. Civil War Not Necessary

Original Article

My husband watches a lot of videos on YouTube and some are entertaining, but some are downright scary. I watched one recently made by a man defending the Electoral College because he lives in flyover country. He made a lot of sense and clearly understands why the Founding Fathers wrote it into the Constitution. The rants coming from the Democrats running for office clearly show that none of them studied civics in school. They seem to think that if you don’t live in large cities on the coasts, your vote shouldn’t count.

The author seems to think a civil war is unnecessary because we have the ballot box. Ok, what do you do when the ballot box is stolen or stuffed? What do you do when no matter who you elect, your freedom and your money disappear? I dont want a civil war either, but there seems to be a point where there isn't much choice. Without a massive course correction very soon we could get there.

The author is correct. Vote for representatives that you KNOW will demand paper ballots , voter photo ID (NO exceptions)and deadline for 'finding' ballots stuffed in the trunk of an operative's vehicle and brought forth if/when needed. I would add proof of citizenship but believe that the foregoing would alleviate the need for it.

The last thing most of us want is civil war. What bothers me is, as the author points out, is unimpeded voter fraud that will if successful do an extreme amount of damage to this country. We cannot allow the democrats to steal another election because you know they are going to try. With Soros money and democrat dogma that believes the ends justify the means, we are in grave danger of having our votes stolen. Therefore, our ONLY solution is to have a massive turnout of Republican voters. No one who loves this country as founded can stay home. Democrats have no qualms about voter fraud. They believe if it works, and it does, they have every right to do it. Young people away at university will vote there and fill out an absentee ballot for home. Illegals will vote you can be sure of that. Nursing homes will be filled with democrat activists filling out absentee or mail-in ballots. Therefore, while there is still more of us than them, we have to get out and vote. If the democrats are successful in 2020, our country is toast. It will never come back. Democrats will seize power and will not relinquish it. Any talk about an uprising will be quashed in the most forceful way. Democrats will then control the military and they will use it. Nothing will be off limits to them. Therefore, if you love this country and want to live in freedom from an oppressive government, you must vote. Encourage others to vote and do whatever you can to assure that President Trump is re-elected. If what has been revealed about the democrat party and its willingness to weaponize government agencies against us and that doesn’t motivate you to vote and encourage others to vote, I don’t know what would. This country is worth fighting for and the ballot box will be our Concord. Freedom can be defended by civilians and this is the way our Founders intended. Vote. Encourage others to vote. Volunteer. Democrats must be defeated. Our future depends upon it.

Quit being uninvolved. Run for office. Give people choices they can trust instead of leaving it to shyster lawyers, used car salesman and hollywood types. We get those because they lust for power and prestige. Give the people another choice!!

If only it were that easy. To believe in the vote one must believe in the law and that most government and law enforcement is honest. Oh, and that the average citizen understands and cares. Eight years of Barack Obama, a corrupt IRS, CIA and FBI and this democrat circus that we are experiencing tells a different story. Our forefathers were wise and that is why they also came up with that "Tree of Liberty" quote.

While I agree that the right way to fix this is to vote, the Left doesn't play by the rules and would be deliriously happy to steal the election in ANY way that they can while us Dudley Do-Rights think that we are winning simply by not cheating as they are. The Constitution is a wonderful document but only of use to a People WILLING to follow it. The Left has been rabble rousing about the Electoral College, the Senate, the power of the President, and other structures defined in the Constitution and seem all too ready to toss them out through activist judges and other extralegal means. Alicia, you are a rube if you think they are going to stop now just because we vote against them. What will be NECESSARY that WE do, will depend, to an extent, on what abuses THEY carry out. Plus, although I believe that the majority of the Country is NOT as crazy as the Left, many of these dangerous reps are in "safe" districts where Leftists have congregated and these reps could easily be reelected no matter how many of the sane people turn out to vote against them. On the other hand, the suggestions to work diligently on cleaning up and protecting the voter rolls, to Get Out the Vote, and to VOTE is EXCELLENT advice for now. "perhaps our only choice was to openly rebel against our government" The Declaration of Independence says "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.", To me, this seems like the path the Left/dems/media/etc is on. Is it time to "throw them off"? Not if voting is respected. We need new laws that address the flaws that have occurred in the last decade or so as the Left has become emboldened. If that works, then no rebellion will be needed.

#9, it's not a rebellion when the owners clean house. We the people are the rulers, the government, and our hired employees have committed fraud, murder, etc., etc., and we need to kick them to the curb, ban them from the premises and give them a fair trial before hanging them or putting them in front of a firing squad. Too many citizens grow up with the erroneous idea that they are ruled by the government. That's not how this country was founded and it's what makes America unique among the nations on this planet.

Correct that civil war is not necessary. But, so far, the left is quite ok with invoking civil war. The ends justify the means. Soros is certainly ok with it. But, just suppose we all get out and vote. There will be much dim voter fraud that we must overcome next year. Oh, and by the way, it would come in handy to salvage our Republic next year, no? This is a big deal, folks. Everyone must vote.

The real issue comes down to personal, inherent morals and deep political philosophy. The Left thinks with its heart (feelings) and the Right thinks with its brain (real life). Because the Right would never desire to run someone else's life, we don't get involved. We want to be left alone and just think others should agree. Because the Left thinks THEY should run everyone's life, they get VERY involved! This is why the Left always has its "A Team" running for office and they have a deep bench. They are used to running unions, schools, etc. and sticking their noses in everything. The Left always has something to say and demands they be heard. The Left is very organized because they are busybodies. The Right is too busy working and concerned with trying to succeed and make the world a better place for themselves and their families, kids in particular. Therefore, only those on the Right who can't make it in business run for office --- or they run after they make their fortunes. That's why we always field a "B Team". Our "A Team" is running the country! I can't tell you how bad some local Republican candidates are because their hearts aren't really "in it" like the Dems. We don't want to change the world ... but they do! The Right doesn't want to run everything but the Left does. And that is the real problem.

Hear me out before you flame me... Conducting a poll on a blockchain ledger would be the safest and most transparent way an election could be held. EVERY VOTER would be able to ensure that THEIR vote was properly recorded, but no voter would be able to know the votes associated with any voter EXCEPT themselves. EVERY voter and every candidate would be able to audit the election. Every voter would have access to ALL of the voting data. But, they would only be able to find THEIR vote in that set of data. Since everyone would have the data to see for themselves, there would be no centralized point of attack to change the results. If you want to judge how effective how this might be at rooting out fraud, see just how politicians respond to this idea. I bet liberals would hate it. Do your own research and you can start by searching for a small project called Veruscoin.

Each day we get closer the the election. Each day the Commies become more aware that Americans LOVE Trump. While I commend every voting strategy mentioned above....my fear is that the left will resort to assassination rather than accept defeat. They have no one who can hold a candle to Trump in an election. They may not be able to cheat "enough" to win. "By any means" includes violent measures. If it should happen (God Forbid) it will be blamed on disgruntled "White Supremacists" . May God bless and keep President Trump. I fear for his safety.

I happen to agree with ALL the posters above who so aptly describe the seemingly overwhelming circumstances regarding our upcoming election in 2020. But the show-stopper statement gave voice to our silent fear concerning the safety of our dearly beloved President Trump, especially as he travels this week to the UN meeting in the UK. I just PRAY that our SS and others on his security detail are super-vigilant after the recent murders near London Bridge. Won't you join me in PRAYER as PDT travels with his large entourage to Europe. I'm reminded of 11/22 and JFK's untimely end by a successor. Deliver us from EVIL!! Amen.

I am a big fan of Alicia Colon, but I think she might be a bit too Pollyanna this time. As #9 said, the Declaration of Independence lays out the reasons for our revolution. Their words echo down history and are as valid today as then: "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." Yep, THAT is real and true. And if they insist and we finally reach the end of our rope - it will be sad thing, but they can make and so far, have made, it unavoidable if we are to not be slaves in our own land.

It’s not just the left that is destroying this nation. Those who saw this coming 20 years ago were considered lunatics and banned in this “salon.” Still today, the “beautiful people” on the right turn their backs on the men in the street standing up to ANTIFA. The Democrats have organized groups full of young, energized people. Try to join a local Republican group and it’s as if you’re disrupting a bridge game at the recreation center of a retirement home. Get involved? I’ve been involved all along and as recently as three months ago was attacked by two ANTIFA that each got one straight right from a retired US Army Senior NCO (that was reported in the local news in Central Florida - video included) which was all it took. Had to slip away because the precious “blue” would have cuffed me and not the attackers. The left wins because they organize, not just because they want to control lives. Republicans can’t be bothered to get off of the sofa and hit the streets when the Dems show their face. Republicans are too scared to wear a MAGA hat to the grocery store (but are sure to courageously give me a thumbs-up after checking to make sure no one sees them doing it). Want to make a difference? Start by having the guts to declare your love for this country and this President by not just purchasing a MAGA but actually wearing the thing everywhere you go. Sticks and stones make brake my bones but expecting the words of columnists and commenters to win this war has nearly destroyed this nation. The salon didn’t work (and never has). It’s the people from the saloon who do the dirty job of keeping us free and if you think it’s too dirty for you, then kiss your freedom goodbye.

The writer overlooks the important role the courts have played in creating the voter fraud mess. How often have activist judges (at the state and federal levels) shortstopped attempts to clean up the voter roles and registration procedures? Conservative control of the courts at every level is essential for maintaining a constitutional republic. If we are able to achieve that will have a firewall. Without it we will eventually go under, probably sooner than later.

That is a totally divided party."
