Bureaucracy bonanza? Warren’s plans

Elizabeth Warren has a plan for that. And often, she's got a new federal agency for that, too. A Fox News analysis of the Democratic presidential candidate's myriad and much-touted plans reveals that Warren's ambitious agenda of policy prescriptions would not only prompt sweeping change in everything from health care to clean energy, but would come with the creation of at least 20 offices, bureaus, agencies, divisions or councils.

Comments:

This is the standard MO of the Democrats-increase the size of gvt and intrusion upon our lives. Do we need 20 new agencies? Or 100 less? I know where I'm leaning.

2020 will be the turning point for the United States. As important as 1776 or 1861. If the Dems take control, it will be the end of the greatest country on earth.

Look at all the new jobs she would be creating. We could all be government workers. Now who pays for this? Oh...nevermind.

Democrats dream of more and bigger government because the little people and deplorables are not capable of managing their own lives.

OP, now you know how VA turned blue, it's all government workers voting for the people they believe will grow government, and protect their jobs. #3, today's Democrats want everyone to be government workers, and some will be more equal than others too. It's why Republicans get hammered when they talk about less government. I think they need to appeal to the idea that we have enough government, and that we need to gain more control over the size and scope. That it's useful, beneficial, not just there. Demand that it become more helpful, less intrusive, better managed, more productive and more efficient.

A prestigious Ohio college is defending a memorial put up by students honoring the lives of Palestinian radical Islamic terrorists killed by Israel's military. Citing free speech, Oberlin College gave the green light to an anti-Israel display commemorating "unarmed Palestinian civilians" killed in Gaza airstrikes earlier this month. Israel Defense Forces said the strikes killed 25 members of the terrorist group, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, an Iran-backed group that has previously taken credit for suicide bombings targeting Israeli civilians.

Sea level rise, a trend that predates the Industrial Revolution, is being blamed on CO2 emissions, and has become one of the most potent harangues used to guilt-trip the populace of major industrial countries over the use of carbon-based energy. (Mysteriously China and India, whose expanding carbon footprints dwarf the expensive reductions engineered with Teslas, windmills, and vegan diets in the West, are largely exempted from criticism.)

Rock legend Bruce Springsteen took aim at President Trump in a new interview Friday, saying the president doesn't "grasp" the meaning of being an American. In an interview on "CBS This Morning," host Gayle King asked Springsteen about a recent Trump rally in which the president bragged that his election victory in 2016 was accomplished without the support of celebrities like Springsteen, Beyoncé and Jay-Z. "You surprised that he's trash-talking you after all this time?" King asked. "Not really. Anything's possible," the New Jersey musician responded. King noted that "a lot of people are very concerned about the direction of the country," with Springsteen agreeing that it's a "very frightening time" in America.

The last of the Louisiana state election numbers are in and it's not pretty for the Democrats. Not only does its moderate Democratic governor, John Bel Edwards, face a runoff as noted here, the state Senate has taken a supermajority. And a whole bunch of key state offices went squarely to Republicans. Funny how the press isn't covering this much. But Guy Benson at Townhall is, and he found a Democratic Party "decimated":

Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib told Detroit’s chief of police that he should hire only black people as analysts to run their facial recognition software because, she claimed, non-black people think they all look alike. The suggestion came Monday as Chief James Craig gave Tlaib a tour of the Real Time Crime Center, where the department uses facial recognition technology to find suspects. Craig was showing Tlaib how the software works, and how analysts use it to identify and locate individuals. But the tour quickly turned contentious as the freshman Michigan congresswoman made repeated requests that were shot down by the chief.

There appears to be no significant movement to move the U.N.

Paris - The United States and Europe bear more than half the cost of repairing the damage already wrought by climate change, a coalition of environmental groups said Monday. Based on their historic greenhouse gas emissions, the US and EU should be held jointly responsible for 54 percent of funding owed to developing nations already dealing with extreme flooding, droughts and megastorms rendered more frequent and intense by global warming, the groups said. Gender transition can leave transgender people in a bit of a bind about their sexual desirability. While a transgender female may look, act, and feel masculine and exhibit male tendencies, she is just as female as any other female. If she is interested in either gay men or straight women, she could find herself perpetually attracted to individuals who are not going to be interested in her simply because of her vagina. The same holds true for transgender men who have retained their penises. If they are into lesbian women or straight men, those two demographics will most likely be turned off by their body parts.

’ll take the opportunity up front to double down on this post from Friday. I’d bet my life savings plus several internal organs that Pelosi will have 218 to impeach. That’s based on the simple reality that failing to do so at this point would cost Democrats more politically than proceeding with impeachment would. Voters who hate Trump would be furious and voters who like Trump wouldn’t give Pelosi and Schiff an ounce of credit for standing down in the end. The president would gloat about it every day unto eternity. Pelosi, long respected by both sides for her ability to whip votes, would be humiliated utterly.

Rasmussen, whose own daily tracking poll revealed that 34% of black likely voters support President Trump, was initially cautious about interpreting that result, as this response to a tweet by Dineen Borelli shows: So when Mrs. @deneenborelli - a friend & an engaged supporter of @realDonaldTrump today presents a snapshot of our privacy-focused daily likely voter results, please remember, not all survey samples & collection techniques are equal or comparable. On July 25, 2019, President Donald Trump picked up the phone in the White House residence and attempted to shake down a foreign leader. Trump’s language was elliptical and soft, not direct and threatening, but his intentions were clear: He wanted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to “do us a favor.” That was Trump’s entree to his improper, indecent requests that Zelenskiy’s government undertake two investigations that would benefit Trump politically. Trump didn’t explain his motives, which of course were self-serving. First, he asked Zelenskiy to “find out what happened” with Ukraine’s supposed meddling, alongside Russia, in the 2016 U.S. election. Then there was Trump’s “other thing”: his desire that Ukraine “look into”
