Impeachment witness scolds Nunes for
calling him mister: 'Lt. Col. Vindman, please'

The testimony of National Security Council official Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman grew tense Tuesday under questioning from Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif. -- as the impeachment hearing witness eventually scolded the top intelligence committee Republican for not addressing him by his military title. (Snip) "Mr. Vindman, you testified in your deposition that you did not know the whistleblower," Nunes stated. "Ranking member, it's Lieutenant Colonel Vindman, please," the witness responded. Nunes corrected himself and repeated the statement, which followed questions regarding who Vindman had spoken with about Trump's phone call.

If LTC Vindman is so hung up on rank and title, he should be addressing ANY member of Congress as Sir/Maam - members of the House of Representatives carry the military equivalent rank of a four star general (27th rank in protocol, the Chairman of the JCS is 50th - figure out how low a worm like Vinman is), even congressional staffers outrank a LTC (trust me on this one).

When the title is more important than the question, you know what type of person you're dealing with. Seems Vindman is a prime candidate for what Col. Hackworth often sited about the brass in DC, "perfumed princes". I also wonder what promises Vindman was hinted at if he played ball? After all, he likely thought Clinton was going to win, and he was part of the Obama administration. The Trump admin tried to remove him from the NSC post for leaking, but ran into HR, who may also be holdovers from Obama admin. Vindman was mostly concerned that the Trump policy was now contrary to the deals that were in place from the Obama administration and the previous Ukrainian president who was voted out of office. Many say were corrupt, so wonder what else Vindman is hiding, or possibly covering up?

Instead of calling Rep. Nunes "Ranking Member", the Col. ( who only wears his uniform at this hearing) should have call Mr. Nunes "Sir!" And David Nunes should have asked him if he understood the chain of command, and who's his boss!

If Alexander Vindman is even an average infantry Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army today, the Army has certainly been transformed during the Obama Administration to a nitpicking politicized field grade officer corps that thinks they run the Army and White House foreign policy, instead of the of the current elected President. It’s really funny to watch the leftist and liberal Democrats who would never think of joining the armed forces themselves keep bringing up Vindman’s military service, the fact that he received the Purple Heart Medal because he was wounded by an IED and history that have nothing to do with whatever President Trump did or did not do while serving as President.

During testimony at this hearing Vindman is acting in his capacity as NSA Dirctor, Europe. That is a civilian position, not military. The correct way to address him would me "Director Vindman", since he is not acting as part of any military duties. The UCMJ forbids appearing in uniform at any civilian political function, except when serving as an honor guard for posting of the colors. Appearing in uniform would convey the impression that the Army endorses the candidate, party, cause, etc.

All over the country, there are businesses, schools, and churches that are still not allowed to reopen, but it’s a different story at migrant shelters. The CDC is now bending the rules to allow these shelters to operate at full capacity. Stef W. Kight reports at Axios: CDC lets child migrant shelters fill to 100% despite COVID concern. The Centers for Disease Control is allowing shelters handling child migrants who cross the U.S.-Mexico border to expand to full capacity, abandoning a requirement that they stay near 50% to inhibit the spread of the coronavirus, Axios has learned.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
