A bit touchy, are we? I'm tired of hearing how 'sensitive' the Chi-Coms are to any criticism.

The NBA has discovered that all business in China is with the Chinese government. There are no private businesses in China large enough for the NBA to be interested in.

I vote we punish the Chinese by giving them the NBA, including the players, owners, coaches, staff, officials and anything else I may have missed. Maybe make it a two-fur and give them the NFL as well. My life is much better without both and I suspect the nation too would be happier and healthier without them.

Months ago, the vice presidential chatter du jour revolved around Joe Biden and his alleged courtship of Georgia’s Stacey Abrams. Perhaps because Biden was the front-runner at the time, perhaps because Democrats wondered where, exactly, Abrams would land, speculation that she was in talks with the Biden campaign reached a fever pitch before she quashed the rumors. Since then the field has shifted, and Elizabeth Warren has surged past Biden in some polls, prompting a new cycle of guesswork as to her potential running mate. On Thursday, the Daily Beast reported the latest: that Warren is eyeing Florida’s Andrew Gillum.

Nearly 13,000 homes near the San Fernando Valley were under mandatory evacuation orders due to the so-called Saddleridge Brush Fire, which had ballooned from 60 acres to 4,700 in about 11 hours, officials said Friday. The fire was 0 percent contained at about 8 a.m. Low humidity and high winds were fueling the fire, which was moving at about 800 acres an hour, Los Angeles Fire Department Fire Chief Ralph Terrazas

Bernie Sanders has so far muscled past questions about his age by keeping a grueling campaign schedule, bouncing between ice cream socials, private meetings, rallies or town halls in a single day -- with aides decades his junior struggling to keep up. But the 78-year-old’s heart attack last week hinders a candidacy already faltering as Elizabeth Warren, his rival for the progressive mantle, edges into a statistical tie for frontrunner status in the Democratic presidential race. The Vermont senator’s campaign is now facing an acute dilemma without precedent in modern American politics. No candidate has experienced and disclosed a potentially

Washington - Each state in America has an official state bird, usually an iconic species that helps define the landscape. Minnesota chose the common loon, whose haunting wails echo across the state’s northern lakes each summer. Georgia picked the brown thrasher, a fiercely territorial bird with a repertoire of more than 1,000 song types. But as the planet warms and birds across the country relocate to escape the heat, at least eight states could see their state birds largely or entirely disappear from within their borders during the summer, according to a new study.
