The Left’s same lame game is afoot—anile, redundant, and destined for failure. In his incisive legal analysis, Andrew McCarthy notes how the absence of a formal vote to commence the impeachment inquiry and the failure (at present) to issue subpoenas would invoke due process safeguards for the president, his administration, and other potential witnesses and/or custodians of sought after materials. He is correct, but if one doubts him, there is a more elementary political rule of thumb to follow: if Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) thought taking a vote to commence a formal impeachment inquiry was good for her Democratic caucus, there would have been a vote.

The 2020 elections will afford us the chance to pass judgment on the immediate threat to our democracy posed by the intelligence agencies, the Democratic party, and the media in their grab for power through a bastardized impeachment process. But no such opportunity exists for us to deal with the most serious, most fundamental threat to our way of life, namely our thoroughly rotten educational establishment. The problem has been festering for decades, and keeps getting worse. During Word War II, only 4 percent of some 18 million draftees were illiterate. Despite (or because?) of massive expenditures on education over the subsequent two decades, 27 percent

The Muslim Educational Cultural Center of America (MECCA) claims that its goals are "to guide young Muslims" and "build bridges of understanding with other cultures and faiths." Yet the Chicago-area mosque's willingness to promote hate preachers and anti-Semitic demagogues reflects the continued influence of its Islamists founders and leaders. The Center's soft talk has duped some politicians into attending the mosque's events. Some of them are Burr Ridge mayor Gary Grasso and Dupage County board member Julie Renehan, who attended the Center's open house last month. Also, this month, on October 2, U.S. congressman Sean Casten spoke on immigration at MECCA.

Tlaib quickly stated that her fellow Democrats have already been involved in discussions pertaining to who could arrest administration officials, Trump presumably included, if they refuse to leave power in a timely manner. The "Squad" member, who called for Trump's impeachment ("we're gonna go in there and we're gonna impeach the m‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑") immediately after she was elected in 2018, told her audience: "This is the last caucus conversation we've had.

Sad to say, most villains in films have counterparts in real life, which always leads us to the question: does art imitate life, or does life give voice to film fiction? Both are likely true; outside nature, what we read and see almost all derives from the human imagination. Our Founders knew this, and our Constitution is an ingenious document meant to prevent the kind of undermining of the presidency that has occurred these past three years. The Left today loathes the Constitution. It’s becoming clearer that Nancy Pelosi’s half-clever ploy of unilaterally declaring that an impeachment “inquiry” was in progress is backfiring in a big way. At first, it seemed that this was a smart move – by simply stating an inquiry was in motion without going through the necessary formalities such as a full House vote, Pelosi was calming the crazies of her caucus (such as the Squad), while leaving herself plenty of maneuvering room to divert or back out should things start to deteriorate.

The first concerns a difficult-to-understand detail in one of the early stories on the matter by Kenneth Vogel of the New York Times. Vogel reported that the Ukrainians were unaware of the suspension of U.S. military aid when Presidents Trump and Zelensky had their phone call on July 25. That detail has now been confirmed by Christopher Miller, an expert reporter in Kyiv, in a Buzzfeed dispatch: “The Ukrainian government didn’t know it was being held up in Washington by Trump, according to the two Ukrainian officials. The top order of business when the House of Representatives returns from recess on Oct. 15 is certain to be the impeachment inquiry into the conduct of President Donald Trump. Here’s something the lawmakers should take care of first: changing the presidential line of succession to remove the speaker of the House and the president pro tempore of the Senate. The U.S. Constitution specifies that the vice president takes over if a president leaves office. After that, presidential succession is up to Congress, which has changed the procedure several times throughout U.S. history. There are two strong reasons to change the law again now: It’s the best way for the Democrats

Right now, the president is under siege by Democrats because he had a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in July. The juicy story is that Trump, like a mob boss, threatened to withhold military aid unless Zelensky opened a probe into possible corruption committed by Hunter Biden, who sat on the board of an energy company. Hunter has zero experience in the energy sector. The allegation, and it’s not far-fetched, is that he was there selling access—all of this occurred under the Obama presidency.
