Testimony From Ukraine Envoy Kurt
Volker Directly Contradicts Democrats’
Impeachment Narrative

Congressional testimony from the former top American envoy to Ukraine directly contradicts the impeachment narrative offered by congressional Democrats and their media allies. Ambassador Kurt Volker, who served for two years as the top U.S. diplomatic envoy to Ukraine, testified on Thursday that he was never aware of and never took part in any effort to push the Ukrainian government to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden or his son Hunter. He also stressed that the interactions between Giuliani and Ukrainian officials were facilitated not to find dirt on Biden, but to assuage concerns that the incoming Ukrainian government would not be able

So what was all that from Chris Wallace that Volker's testimony was 'devastating' to Trump?

I have only read his Volker’s opening statement and my impression is he is a long-time Stater who can’t see anyone in government doing wrong. His statement about Biden and Yanovitch being honorable is naive or covering at least. The Ukranians asked her to be removed because she was bad-mouthing the President to them, she helped in digging up dirt in the election and she wouldn’t provide visas for their investigators to bring evidence to US authorities. He sounds like a well meaning but clueless functionary with a James Comey “I decided to fix it” attitude.

It's pretty clear to everyone that the partricular circumstances and assertions are pretty much irrelevant. "Impeachment" has now become just another tactic to intimidate and obstruct the President, as well as daily manufacture scare headlines in order to lessen his chances for re-election among low-information voters. The Democrats are engaged in all-out "lawfare", using legal and legislative procedures to harass and diminish the power of the entire Executive branch. Will the Republicans wake up and fight back? No sign of that yet, with many running for the exits with their pensions, leaving the President to fight the sabotage all by himself. Someone should write a book on this called "Profiles in Cowardice."

I would also add, what has caused Drudge to go over to the Dark Side? He's used more red ink and multiple scare headlines in the last few months than he has in the last 15 years. The only thing missing is the flashing, spinning lights and siren. I suspect that's being saved for exactly the right, coordinated moment. Too bad. Adios, Matt. No more clicks from me.

A second whistleblower has spoken to the intelligence community’s internal watchdog and has information that backs the original whistleblower’s complaint about President Donald Trump’s dealings with Ukraine, according to the lawyer for the two. Attorney Mark Zaid told The Associated Press in a text message Sunday that the second whistleblower, who also works in intelligence, hasn’t filed a complaint with the inspector general but does have “firsthand knowledge that supported” the original whistleblower. The original whistleblower, a CIA officer, filed a formal complaint with the inspector general on Aug. 12 that triggered the impeachment inquiry being led by House Democrats. The complaint alleged Trump was “using the power of his office

Shortly after 5 a.m. on November 5, 2018, two police officers arrived at Gary Willis' house in Glen Burnie, Maryland. They were there to take away his guns. They ended up killing him instead. According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the 61-year-old man, who at that hour presumably had just been awakened by the officers' knocking, answered the door with a gun in his hand. He put it down when he saw who was there. Upon learning that the two officers had come to serve him with an "extreme risk protective order" (ERPO) that barred him from possessing firearms, police said, Willis became "irate" and

In a digital campaign ad that first aired last week, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell accused Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi of being "in the clutches of a left-wing mob" and forced to proceed with impeachment proceedings against President Trump. McConnell, 77, is seeking his seventh consecutive term as a Republican Kentucky senator with the hope of remaining the majority leader of the Senate, a post he has held since the midterm wave of Republicans were elected in 2014. McConnell, who recently referred to himself as the "grim reaper" of socialist Democratic legislation passed by the House of Representatives,

And then, there were eight. Rep. Ben McAdams of Utah, a first-term Democrat representing a Salt Lake City-area district won by President Trump in 2016, said he favors an impeachment inquiry of the White House incumbent over the Ukraine whistleblower episode. “The president’s refusal to further cooperate with congressional oversight, without an impeachment inquiry, is regrettable ,” McAdams said Friday at a town hall, per Utah media outlets. “We find ourselves today at the point that an [impeachment] inquiry is necessary to get all of the facts on the table.”

Rapper Kanye West once again defended his support of President Trump, arguing that it's "mental slavery" to make decisions or vote based on skin color. "That's the Republican Party that freed the slaves," West said on Saturday during his Sunday Service session in Salt Lake City, pointing to the fact that former Republican President Abraham Lincoln was in office when slavery in the United States ended. He continued by saying people criticize him because he "chose my right." "And we got the right, right? We got a right to our opinions, right?" he asked. "You black, so you can't like Trump? House Democrats are under increasing pressure to hold a politically risky vote to sanction their impeachment inquiry into President Trump. The White House is expected as early as Monday to tell Speaker Nancy Pelosi it will not cooperate with an impeachment-related subpoena drafted by Democrats until the House votes officially to open an impeachment investigation. "We'll be issuing a letter," Trump told reporters Friday on the South Lawn. "As everybody knows, we've been treated very unfairly, very different from anybody else." Democrats threatened to impeach Trump for obstructing Congress if he fails to turn over the material requested in the subpoena related to the Ukraine whistleblower case. But Republicans are building

Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-Fla.) response to the president suggesting China “should start an investigation into the Bidens” is largely a Beltway story, but it’s worth dwelling on briefly for broader reasons. In correctly questioning whether the remark constituted “a real request,” Rubio disrupted the day-plus punditry cycle with an obvious point. To be crystal clear, Trump’s statement was categorically stupid and indefensible. But Rubio, hardly a friend to China, added a critical observation that seemed to be lost entirely on the breathless pundit class.

The deliberate national penance that most Germans take for granted offers a striking contrast with the ways American have confronted their own national crimes.” That’s a line from an article last month in The Atlantic. The article focuses on a supposedly sad divergence: while Germans have fully acknowledged their responsibility for the Holocaust and accepted their guilt, Americans have failed to do the same with their history of slavery and Jim Crow. The comparison is the kind of stretch that only a pampered, liberal, Ivy-League educated professor who has spent lots of time in Europe could make. In truth, there is little evidence in the Atlantic essay

How stupid does the anti-Trump fraternity think the American people are? By “anti-Trump fraternity” I mean not only the increasingly frantic Democrats who, like Belshazzar at that memorable dinner party many years back, can see the writing ever more clearly on the wall for 2020, but also the NeverTrump sorority who just cannot get over the fact that someone was elected president of the United States without their permission, indeed, over their explicit objections. President Trump's vision of our country is America First. Unlike all presidents of the past 30 years, Donald Trump is not afraid of saying he puts his own people first. Everything he does is in the interest of ordinary Americans. The policy of America First rejects the globalist and universalist policies of the past that saw America as just one nation among others — and a guilty and undeserving nation at that. The low point in this anti-American era was President Obama's apology tour of 2009, during which he traveled to Europe and the Middle East apologizing for everything America had done in the past and promising that

Obsession with power leads to a criminalized state, which splinters the perishable moral fabric of society. From those shards, like the dragon's teeth, grow national discord. Are we now faced with

Meyer, who identifies as “gender neutral,” had that wish granted when Clovis East High crowned the slender, 5-foot-10 senior as homecoming queen Friday night during halftime of the Timberwolves’ football game against Clovis High. Here in San Diego, Elizabeth Warren paid a visit Thursday, so I went, taking my elderly mother, blending into the crowd to learn how things looked from the Democrat side. The most obvious takeaway is that Warren is rising. Based on her own energetic appearance and stump speech, she's now begun campaigning as if she's got the Democratic nomination in the bag, and she's now attempting to move to the center. That signals a swift campaign response to the de facto collapses of her

It’s time for Hillary Clinton to come out of retirement, lace up the gloves and get back in the ring with President Trump for what would be the biggest political rematch ever. Call me crazy, but from what I’ve seen so far, Clinton is the only candidate short of Barack Obama who has the brains, the battle-tested brawn and the national presence to take out Trump. And Obama can’t run. Bernie Sanders was fading even before his heart started acting up. Joe Biden has become Trump’s main talking point in the whole Ukraine-China impeachment mess, which hardly helps him.

It’s becoming clearer that Nancy Pelosi’s half-clever ploy of unilaterally declaring that an impeachment “inquiry” was in progress is backfiring in a big way. At first, it seemed that this was a smart move – by simply stating an inquiry was in motion without going through the necessary formalities such as a full House vote, Pelosi was calming the crazies of her caucus (such as the Squad), while leaving herself plenty of maneuvering room to divert or back out should things start to deteriorate.
