It’s becoming clearer that Nancy Pelosi’s half-clever ploy of unilaterally declaring that an impeachment “inquiry” was in progress is backfiring in a big way.
At first, it seemed that this was a smart move – by simply stating an inquiry was in motion without going through the necessary formalities such as a full House vote, Pelosi was calming the crazies of her caucus (such as the Squad), while leaving herself plenty of maneuvering room to divert or back out should things start to deteriorate.

Love the deck of cards analogy. Pelosi is the duped ignorant tourist in the casino thinking that she can beat the house and PDT is the dealer. And all of the casino cameras are focused on Pelosi as she tries to cheat

Nan is out of her league and looks clearly uncomfortable leading her caucus on this scam. Word came to her from Obie, the deep state bosses, and the globalists that a Trump mega landslide is expected next year unless she and the House committees made up an impeachment story to try to control the narrative. The one thing they all forgot is that the American people aren't as stupid as they think we are and that we are on to their evil ways.

That's the one thing we always have on our side - -

Everything these people are doing suggests that they believe a Trump landslide is on the way. Between now and Nov '20 is going to be a very dangerous time for the country.

Nancy had been stiff-arming her fellow democrats who were pushing her toward impeachment (only because she knew it was a lot of work with no end result), but then her son got brought into the Ukraine scandal.....and now she's all in!

The dimwitted cow was played by her fellow democrats because they knew she has nothing lose if she screws up this late in her game. Now she has no graceful way to back out of a sure blunder. Nicely done, Nan.

Pelosi was not smart enough to realize that both Nadler and Schiff were too stupid to pull the impeachment charade off! They are bumbling liars and klutzes, who can't think one move ahead in a game of checkers!

Let's see, who do I want to support, a party for abortion on demand, open borders, sanctuary cities and states, higher taxes, globalization, medicare for all, wants to abolish ICE or an administration that has reduced unemployment to near record lows, produced an economy that is way above predicted estimates, fought for the human life when they are most vulnerable, supported law enforcement and our military, got funding for the wall and has put US interests ahead of foreign interests in trade?

This is a death spiral game...both sides know that. Notice how the impeachment screeching from The Squad has ceased? There have been six committees given "inquiry" authority by the Speaker. These six were to act as gatling guns spewing lies, innuendo and leaked blockbusters to overwhelm PDT's Twitter. That is only getting further organized.
These subpoenas are more impeachment bait. Refuse and it will become an obstruction article in the impeachment. The courts won't have any time to rule - and even IF they would rule in favor of Trump, we are talking politics, not law.
Public opinion is thwarting the plans. If PDT's "approval ratings" were in the 30s this would be a bi-partisan UNIPARTY slam dunk - Mitch would soon be taking that walk to the White House advising resignation "for the good of the nation". But they're at 50 and trending upward...that's not good for impeachment with an election coming, especially for PDT's own "party".

Well, according to the old playbook, Pelosi's tricks would have worked. But with Trump in the WH, people are being inspired to fight back and help expose the corruption. Now that it has been exposed this week that Pelosi and her own son are version 2.0 of Biden and son, she is in real and very deep trouble right now. I suspect she doesn't know how to get out of this one except to flail about trying to pin it all on Trump.

Cornered rats are very dangerous. I fear the only way out for the DemoNazis and their powerful, rich, corrupt friends is to have Trump murdered. They will try it if they think they can get away with it. No one could replace him.

We're having elections here in rural, South Louisiana this month. We have a state rep. who does a pretty good job, and she's pretty much middle of the road. She's a democrat and is being challenged by a unknown republican, who claims to be conservative. I always vote republican, but was planning on voting for the democrat incumbent. Since all of this c**p has been going on, I made up my mind, I'll never vote for anyone that identifies as a democrat, no matter how good they seem. There are no more Zel Miller democrats!

Mark Wauck has a great article on this today:
https://meaninginhistory.blogspot.com/2019/10/the-state-of-play-advantage-trump.html#more
Excerpt (and he’s talking about the Dems here):
How could it get worse?
That's where the investigations of the Russia Hoax and, now, the Ukraine Hoax will come in. IG Horowitz's FISA report will be out soon. It could, and should, be a real blockbuster. In fact, I don't see how it can fail to be such without AG Barr rejecting it out of hand for inadequacy. Horowitz is undoubtedly a Democrat, but can't risk that sort of reception.
Bad as that could be, however, the Barr/Durham investigations will be much worse. Those will focus on Dem and Deep State collusion with foreign intelligence services to undermine our very constitutional order and electoral integrity. That's very big stuff, and very big names will undoubtedly be named. Right up to Obama. It's inevitable and the Dems have been caught sitting on the tracks as this train begins coming around the bend. They're paralyzed, they're trying all sorts of ploys, and none seem to be working in the way they need them to work. The only solution that will work for the Dems is to actually derail the train that is Barr/Durham, and that's just not happening.
The final bit of bad news is that this won't really play out until the campaign season is well under way. How do you message that? I just don't see it.

PDJT is about to start his election rally cycle. When Nancy, Schiff et al get the "Lock them up" chant on National TV the impeachment hoax will end. When President Trump takes his bully pulpit on the road, the Radical Left is defenseless.

The way things have been going since President Trump was elected, it is not a stretch to believe that Pelosi will shop for an Obama federal judge, who would say that since Pelosi is the Speaker of the House she can do as she wishes in formulating her impeachment procedures in the House of Representatives against President Trump. It’s all political!

Nancy Pelosi is actually quite stupid. She does have a certain sort of a feral cleverness in matters of influencing individuals and doing various sorts of nefarious back room deals, but in any real sense if intelligence, she is actually stupid.
And this latest "clever trick" is extremely stupid, and has already backfired on her. When Trump released the transcript very quickly, the entire game was absolutely shot between the eyes. It is obvious to any reader that NOTHING is wrong in the phone conversation. The tiny bit that they TRY to twist into something that Pres. Trump was "holding the aid over the Ukrainians to get them to investigate Biden" falls apart instantly when one discovers that the Javelin anti-tank missiles which were being discussed are a purchase by the Ukrainians, NOT any sort of a gift, and the President made no hint whatsoever that the Javelin sale was contingent on Ukraine investigating Biden.
They have nothing, and Numbskull Nancy has blown it entirely.

The courts won't touch this. SCOTUS has already ruled that judicial review of an issue arising in an impeachment trial in the Senate presents a nonjusticiable question, a ''political question.'' That would undoubtedly extend to the House in its methods of submitting Articles of Impeachment to the Senate.
Impeachment is a political act, not a legal proceeding, and the power to impeach is held by the Legislative Branch within the Constitution. If the courts got in the middle it could lead to a serious Constitutional (and political) crisis on several fronts.
If Pelosi and the House impeach, Mitch will have some serious political choices to make. Unless PDT's public approval deteriorates significantly, I doubt it will come to that.

Mitch McConnell better hold the fort. I would like to see Senators defending Donaldus Maximus right now. The only one I heard was Marcia Blackburn. The Senate trial date should be set for after the 2020 election. Pelosi will undoubtedly impeach as her son is in the Ukrainian oil and gas conspiracy. Our Commies were too clever using Alexandra Chalupa and the Ukraine U.S. Embassy to bring down Manafort and make the connection of Trump and Russia. Bad move for the curruptocracy of the Ukraine as they will never get back the Orthodox Donbas and the Crimea.

It would be rare indeed if DJT had overestimated Pelosi. He usually has a great reading of any of his opponents. He may be just dangling the string a little.
