It's always useful to know what a campaign is like, the lay of the land, so to speak, the supporters, the campaign operation, the candidate herself.
Here in San Diego, Elizabeth Warren paid a visit Thursday, so I went, taking my elderly mother, blending into the crowd to learn how things looked from the Democrat side.
The most obvious takeaway is that Warren is rising. Based on her own energetic appearance and stump speech, she's now begun campaigning as if she's got the Democratic nomination in the bag, and she's now attempting to move to the center.
That signals a swift campaign response to the de facto collapses of her

Her campaign may be efficient and organized enough to win the nomination. She'll do well in Berkeley, Madison, and the DC Beltway. But I think her appeal to Rust Belt and southern voters will be minimal.

good article..and love Monica's writings...but, aside from everything else..I am just going to comment on her optics..honestly, she reminds me of a praying mantis..storming the stage and waving her arms skyward..sort of manic like..and she comes off on TV as a scold..like your 9th grade math teacher that you were scared of..In person, maybe she doesn't come off that way..but most of the the voters are not going to see her in person..all they will get is on TV..and she doesn't ..optic..that well...

I saw Warren as a dynamite VP candidate - she'd likely dominate Pence and would be insulated from Trump's Fauxcahontas meme. But she's too far left for the top of the ticket and won't be able to escape video of her promises to date. And I suspect she'll not be so 'youthful' in 2024.

That... was an Honest report. We would do well to appreciate a balanced and objective view of the other side. After all, the entire Left Media missed the dynamics of the 2016 election by writing off the pulse and vibe of the Trump campaign.

She is aiming for the feeblemind vote. There’s plenty of that. We’ll have to beat her by sheer numbers.

I wonder if she'll ever change her uniform. She wears the same black outfit (looks like underwear to me) with various jackets and drippy sweaters on top. I can think of no other woman who would be caught dead in the same clothes day after day.

As will whoever ends up being nominated, with the full support and protection of Old Media criminals.
The geezer guys are face-planting, it seems the dims will end up with a female -- Warren, PIAPS, Mooch -- where the War on Women will be the script. I can't imagine the turbulence we'll be experiencing one year from today, batten down the hatches.

"swift campaign response to the de facto collapses of her Democratic rivals, which seem to be happening"
Note that Liz's hands have been kept clean of Biden's demise. SOMEONE decided Biden needed to be decapitated and a clever feint was launched that seemed to target Trump yet also ensnared Biden. Everyone KNOWS that Uncle Joe is all bluster and no bacon. He has been tested and is falling apart. His only value to the campaign was that he wasn't a crazy Leftist but now that it has been confirmed he is clearly ethically challenged and a dolt, his value is racing to the bottom.
And SURPRISE, Liz is all set to take over, just like SOMEONE planned.
"Based on her telling of the matter, she was remaking herself as regular Jane."
Yup, that's the narrative. But will it hold up in the age of Trump? You KNOW it will not. We are no longer going to sit back and allow the dems to define themselves as something they really are not. Liz has YUGE problems in that area. Plus, as much as she would like to pivot to the middle, she has a ton of Leftist baloney she is spouting that WILL be brought up and what will she say? Which Liz is real? The primary Liz? The general Liz? Or, most likely, NONE OF THE ABOVE. The dems are not driven by principles so they have no grounding. What they tell you today may have no value tomorrow. You never can be sure of their promises because they feel liberated to blow with the wind.
Liz won't only be running against her own problems. She will be running against a party of little accomplishment and irrational behaviors.

But, she's lying-about-my-race-Rachel Dolezal. We will never forget that she claimed to be American Indian and stole from a true AI to advance herself. That infuriates all Americans who KNOW we have AI in us, but can't prove it. My grandmother's family is connected to the Florida Seminoles, but we don't go around putting it on documents to get over. That's just wrong no matter how you slice it. She will not steal the presidency.

I read through the entire article and appreciated Monica's honest opinion of Trump's most likely opponent. She kept mentioning how warm and genuine Elizabeth Warren came across. Has Monica ever listened to Elizabeth Warren when she is questioning someone in court or in Congress? I have. In those environments she comes across as one of the nastiest people I have ever heard. Once I heard her harangue and bash Ben Carson, who is one of the gentlest people I have ever heard. So, I believe Elizabeth Warren's campaign persona is a very good act, and I wonder how long she can keep it up.

Cherokee Lizzie's story about her family economic situation is bull Schiff.
She graduated from high school at at age 16. And she tells a gloriously big lie - that she and her parents could not afford 50 dollars for mher to go to the local community college.
She went to George Washington University on a debate scholarship, dropped out at age 18 to marry her h.s. sweetheart. They moved to Houston, and she finished her undergraduate degree at the University of Houston. She is a Law professor, Monica! Law professors, and other professors know how to work a crowd. Professors can always bull Schiff crowds - it is what we do.
(When I was about to begin my teaching career, I sought the advice of one of the young professors at the university where I completed my doctorate.
He gave me two bits of advice. First, don't tell the students everything you know during the first class session. Second, always remember that the students don't know anything.)
Cherokee Lizzie is a liar. Just as Jo Biden is a liar. But Cherokee Lizzie is a smart liar. Old Jo is not.

Where is shame today? Why are proven liars----those whose lies hurt others----rewarded and encouraged to move prominently in the public arena? Why is Donna Brazile in a cushy job from FN? The list goes on and on of those who should be retired from influential public life and at home seeking redemption through honest work.

Regardless of who the dim loser candidate is going to be, what was the sense of burdening the nation with this garbage a year and a half before the November 2020 election? They think our deplorable stupidity requires this much re-education?

Warren is a radical but her proposals based on "getting even" with the "rich" probably resonate with a significant part of the population that favors redistribution of wealth. She also was not in the first Dem debate and did not raise her hand to give free medical coverage to illegal immigrants which would have been fatal.
She is in favor of decriminalizing the border (open borders) and vastly increasing the numbers of immigrants allowed into the country mostly to increase the Democrat party voter pools. Her tax policies to reverse the tax breaks and deregulation of Trump's administration would drive many businesses and their capital out of this country resulting in massive unemployment just as the immigrant population explodes. This will cost her a lot of Hispanic support who know what the real cost of open borders is.
Her fantasy projections of tax revenues by taking from billionaires and redistributing their private property to the government is classic socialism and she has lost most of her big donor sources at least on the East Coast.
Her biggest liability is her enthusiastic support for Medicare-for-all. This scheme sets reimbursement levels for hospital and drug costs at such low levels that is will drive most medical providers out of business. It also requires the 80% of people who are quite happy with their employer paid insurance to get in line with the new immigrants for medical care and puts the care of seniors who actually paid into the plan over their lifetimes in serious jeopardy.
For this and other reasons I don't think she can fool enough people with her moderate demeanor and snappy speeches to get them to vote for their unemployment and financial ruin in the name of socialism.

If Warren beats Trump, America won't be worth saving. And it won't be. Trump may very well be the last Republican President in any event, due to demographics, fraud and the fact that a lot of us aren't going back.

#20, I think that's Cherocheat. I would have liked for Showalter to comment on the "woman" issue. It will be an obvious issue in the Warren v President Trump race. I think that because of Hill C's constant whining about being cheated may help President Trump where otherwise Warren would have the advantage. I think Hill has done real damage to the woman need to support woman. With PT's excellent record of accomplishments he is going to be tough to beat. 92% negative press and he is right around the 50% approval mark.
