Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison
just declared war on religious
freedom and free speech

When the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled last month that Minnesota could not force wedding videographers Carl and Angel Larsen to create videos that violate their religious beliefs, the Larsens thought their three-year court battle was over. But it appears it’s just beginning. Minnesota’s attorney general, Keith Ellison, vowed to fight the court’s decision and squash discriminatory speech in all its forms. In an op-ed for the Minnesota Star Tribune this week, Ellison accused the Larsens of hiding behind their religious beliefs in an attempt to get away with LGBT discrimination.

What can we do today to get Christians, Jews and conservatives?

The spiritual battle between good and evil is again joined. This isn't political! This is a fight against good and evil! And the haters come after the Christian who follows the example of their God and they lay their life down for His sake. I know I will when the time comes and it is very close. I will be in prison or executed for violating laws against identity groups because they are forbidden by God! As for me and my household, we shall choose the Lord! This life is fleeting and a spec in the timeline of eternity. I will spend eternity with Jesus because He paid the price for my sins by dying on the cross for me and raising from the dead. When Keith Ellison can reproduce that, I will listen to him! He can't!

Did anyone doubt that he would? I'll guarantee he'll be singing a different tune when it's a muslim plaintiff who demands that their religious beliefs be accommodated to the extreme. In the U.K. last week, a doctor was told that he must address a male as a woman, or he cannot practice medicine. You think that won't happen here? These "tolerant" people are anything but.

What's with the VOTERS in MN? They used to be such good people. Then Obama sent Thousands of people from Somalia there and the whole State went to Hell in a Hand Basket! The voted Ellison in to Congress (fortunately he was forced out), then they turn around and make him Attorney General. On top of that they give us The Mouth from the Squad (who married her Brother). What has happened to those good people? They are NOT outnumbered. They have just changed IMHO!

White guilt is real. It's the same problem that causes countries like Sweden, Germany, Britain and France to open their borders to knife-wielding barbarians and rapists and then wonder why the crime rate has risen. Democrats will do it here if we let them. They show you pictures of starving muslim babies but it's not the babies that are invading these countries.

Seems that there should be no question at all about this. Videography is a form of expression. It is an art form... no? It is a hell of a lot more like free speech than a stripper on a pole showing us where her tan ends. How can anyone be forced to express something they do not want to express? Even if money is involved. All artists take money for their work. No AUTHOR is being MADE to write books about gays. No FILM MAKER whose genre is blood and gore is being hired to shoot the next series on stewardship for the Southern Baptist Convention. This is purely and simply someone picking a fight in order to do damage to a Christian. No surprise that Ellison wants a piece of the fight. However, if the courts insist on making them do it then the videographers should make the video and tell the gay couple that they are being prayed for. File it under 'render unto Caesar' and be done with it.

I live in Minnesota. For the first time, not one of those I voted for in the last election was elected. Every single one of the offices was filled by liberal politicians. This, after the state almost went red for Trump in 2016. Do I think everyone in the state leaned right and then left? No. I suspect there was voter fraud. Almost every state and federal office, except the Senate, is run by the Democrats. There was suspected voter fraud when Al Franken was elected, and it was suspected the last vote. No one is checking the hen house. They strangle hold the power in the state. Just like CA and IL.

With this particular case Ellison can appeal to the US Supreme Court that chances are will not take even take the case, but if that court takes the case, as the court is now constituted, his chances of winning are very slim.

In last fall's election in Minnesota, the GOP did not seem to go all out to defeat Ellison as the DFL [in MN DFL = Democrat] candidate. Whether it was because of insufficient funds, news media who are always pushing the DFL candidates regardless of their history, or just a reaction to the Trump White House - it was a foregone conclusion that the Republican, Douglas Wardlaw, was not going to be able to defeat a DFL candidate, regardless of Ellison's history of abusive behavior toward his mistress, his outlandish leftwing policies, his conversion to Islam in prison, etc. Geographically most of Minnesota's population lies along the Wisconsin border, which leaves much of the population without sufficient political coverage other than that which is from the Twin Cities. Along the western border Fargo and Sioux Falls can provide a bit more conservative perspective on the candidates, but neither city is in Minnesota, and it is questionable whether they would broadcast much about Minnesota politics. That would not prevent Minnesota GOP from promoting the GOP state office candidates in the Fargo and Sioux falls media, however. It seems to me that everything in Minnesota politics is stacked against the rural population which is conservative, and getting the word out about the GOP candidates is difficult. The only thing we have going for us next year is Donald Trump, who wants to flip Minnesota.

A second whistleblower has spoken to the intelligence community’s internal watchdog and has information that backs the original whistleblower’s complaint about President Donald Trump’s dealings with Ukraine, according to the lawyer for the two. Attorney Mark Zaid told The Associated Press in a text message Sunday that the second whistleblower, who also works in intelligence, hasn’t filed a complaint with the inspector general but does have “firsthand knowledge that supported” the original whistleblower. The original whistleblower, a CIA officer, filed a formal complaint with the inspector general on Aug. 12 that triggered the impeachment inquiry being led by House Democrats. According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the 61-year-old man, who at that hour presumably had just been awakened by the officers' knocking, answered the door with a gun in his hand. He put it down when he saw who was there. Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-Fla.) response to the president suggesting China “should start an investigation into the Bidens” is largely a Beltway story, but it’s worth dwelling on briefly for broader reasons. In correctly questioning whether the remark constituted “a real request,” Rubio disrupted the day-plus punditry cycle with an obvious point. To be crystal clear, Trump’s statement was categorically stupid and indefensible. But Rubio, hardly a friend to China, added a critical observation that seemed to be lost entirely on the breathless pundit class.

The deliberate national penance that most Germans take for granted offers a striking contrast with the ways American have confronted their own national crimes.” That’s a line from an article last month in The Atlantic. The article focuses on a supposedly sad divergence: while Germans have fully acknowledged their responsibility for the Holocaust and accepted their guilt, Americans have failed to do the same with their history of slavery and Jim Crow. The comparison is the kind of stretch that only a pampered, liberal, Ivy-League educated professor who has spent lots of time in Europe could make. It’s becoming clearer that Nancy Pelosi’s half-clever ploy of unilaterally declaring that an impeachment “inquiry” was in progress is backfiring in a big way. At first, it seemed that this was a smart move – by simply stating an inquiry was in motion without going through the necessary formalities such as a full House vote, Pelosi was calming the crazies of her caucus (such as the Squad), while leaving herself plenty of maneuvering room to divert or back out should things start to deteriorate.
