How much credibility should we give to a 16-year-old when considering her qualifications to lecture adults about science and an end-of-the-world scenario? Greta Thunberg has been dubbed by the media as a "climate change activist" and a teen "eco-warrior." She was at the United Nations in New York on Monday to appear before diplomats and others at a "climate action summit." Only the UN has less credibility than a teenager.(Snip)Thunberg was preparing to speak to the assembled adults at the UN when President Trump walked in ahead of her. The man knows showmanship. The expression on Thunberg's face was priceless.

Her parents are idiots. This 'child' had no business railing about climate change like CA is burning. She has been fully indoctrinated to deliver someone else's message and it will be detrimental to her health. I can see her flipping out at some point. The real question is who approved her to speak at the UN ? You or I could not do it.

I read that the people who accompanied her to America on that boat flew back home. Is she going to fly home? Too many questions and no facts available.

The cartoon on the home page says it all. In the mid 1960's in a small teachers college I attended for Early Childhood Education, we were told NOT to use rote learning, even for the alphabet nor for the Pledge of Allegiance. We were to teach facts, grammar, history and local events. The professors warned us to NOT use the ''jugs into mugs'' theory of education. It would appear that since Brown v Board of Education they have gone back to Jugs & Mugs. Open a jug, pour it into a mug. Education done!

The sad part of this is she truly believes we are all going to die in ten years. This is what happens when a child is indoctrinated from age 5 with Man-made Global Warming propaganda. (Whoops! Climate Change! That way you have all changes covered.) You see this commonly in children raised in cults, because the dogma is embedded before the children reach the age where they can distinguish between truth and B.S. Around 1957, we were supposed to be entering another ice age (due to air pollution). It never happened. In 10 years, I wonder if she will awaken to the fact that she has been fed B.S.

The fact this child is so obsessed about any subject is troubling. Instead of being fixated with today's equivalent of Elvis Presley or The Beatles she's a mono-maniac about the entire world dying! Literally ... not figuratively. How sad is that? No problem when she hits 22 and realizes that Elvis or Paul isn't going to marry her. Life goes on. But ... When the world continues to spin in 10 years unmoved by her rants then her whole reason for living will collapse and it will probably go down the dark hole along with her own life. She should be on suicide watch soon. Sorry but she is not a latter day Joan of Arc but is a pathetic nut job thanks to her parents abuse. Who would allow their child to be used like this?

You should have a look at the parents. An aging singer who all her live no doubt wanted to have her bookings extended to the States or around the world. Father seems to be jack of all trades in show business. With this homely child (they have two who look the same) they finally have what they wanted, they are infamous around the planet. I would like to hear/read how this autistic loud mouth gets back home! Bicycling? Swimming over?? I am sick of this thing being referred to as a child. Ira Fuerstenberg married at 15. The former Greek 'king' married his bride at that age. Thousands of US high school kids dropped out of high school to elope. Puerto Ricans in NY have one or 2 children of their own at this age, ditto Muslim women. The loudmouth know it all is a young adult. Someone should give her some literature to read about climate jerks in the 1970's. According to them we would long be covered with ice , crops would not grow and we would all be dead! I assume this Asperger/autistic non child is able to read. Though I am beginning to doubt that. One needs to cut trees to produce paper, electric printing machines (the horror) have to put ink and text on the pages! I wonder how they distribute food in her neighborhood. They go hunting and grow everything themselves??? You get the drift....and so on, and so on!

Turn the children away from and then against their parents, the source of true civics education, and learning one's culture, traditions, history (all that and more Michelle Obama proclaimed odious and must be "gotten over". Experts who spoke with Yahoo Finance acknowledged the issue with the general policy in hindsight, though they disagreed on who exactly is to blame.
