The stupidity of the Boy Scouts USA organization is breathtaking. After watching Canadian scouting decline after allowing gay troop leaders, they plunged ahead and followed. Now they wonder why their numbers are down and why the Mormon Church is no longer sponsoring troops. As OP noted the liberals have ruined the organization. Thank you Rex Tillerson.

Historically we’ve had lots of gay friends. And lots of straight. Sexually active men might not always be the best choice for managing much younger members of whatever sex is the object of their desire. Ex., I can’t see a 25-year-old straight guy managing a Girl Scout troop of 11-16 year old girls. Just puts biology and responsibility at odds.

The Gaystapo decided years ago that they were going to destroy the Boy Scouts!!! Instead of fighting back, the Boy Scouts rolled over and gave the Gaystapo everything they wanted -- which was primarily access for homosexual men to have access to 12-year-old boys!!! No sane parent was going to continue to let their sons be part of that. Now, in desperation, the Boy Scouts have started allowing girls to join. I have the very real belief that, within a few years, the Boy Scouts will be history. They will have a new name, and mostly girl members. But they will never see another penny of my money under any name!!!

I have mostly good memories of the scouts in the early 1970's. It was everything my older brothers said it would be and more. The only bad memory was one particular leader who like to scream a lot, but that just one more blowhard in my life. Barely a blip. Then in the mid 70's they started becoming city scouts. Woods lore took a back burner to silly subjects like litter control. Gone were the days of starting fires and whittling sticks, or maybe tying a knot or two. We were too busy with concrete and social responsibility. By 1975 I quit and never went back. Now I see they have become the gay scouts and the inclusive scouts. Too bad. It was a good thing once.

Fatherless boys need strong male role models now more than ever. Shame on the Boy Scouts for knuckling under to pressure from the types of people who would never send their kids to scouting programs in the first place. Liberals only live to destroy what is good.

Crippled by Rex Tillerson's efforts. He was leading the BSA organization and decided to let in homosexuals. It has been a steady downhill slide since then, as the leftists intended. Lefitst destroy all good things.

I have no sympathy for them. They did it to themselves. As a proud Eagle Scout, I was anxious for my son and grandsons to join boy scouts. But after I saw what was happening, I moved away from that goal. I took them camping myself and tried, although I just didn't have the resources to duplicate what they would have learned in BSA, I had to back off. I supported the scouts with donations every year, but finally, I was so appalled at the direction they were taking, I had to stop doing that. A boy scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent. After all these years, it is still ingrained in my memory. What part of the Boy Scout Laws have they abandoned.

I think that the boy scouts are finished. The Royal Rangers is a Christ centered boys group in the AG Church. I think that it is a great alternative to the scouts, and they hold the line.

I was a Cub Scout long ago and didn't get anything out of it. I thought the scout master was loser. Happily my parents didn't say anything when I decided not to go on to Boy Scouts. Much better was playing organized sports although I wasn't any good. I had fun, friends and at least learned how to lose with dignity which is more valuable than learning how to tie a square knot. Scouting used to be a quasi-Christian activity that occupied young people because there was little to do or afford, 50, 60, 70 years ago. The world has dramatically changed. Scouting has tried to repackage itself to be relevant, but unfortunately scandals and fear of potential predators are putting off parents. Organized after school activities which are better supervised and funded have filled the scouting void for many parents. Many kids today have so much going on, parents question diverting time to scouting. If you can get a college degree online, their kids can certainly learn how to tie a square knot online.

The Boy Scouts were once an outstanding tradition. Then along came the gay scoutmasters, girls wanting in. Be careful of the phrase, "come into my den". Preying and Praying on these boy scouts is disgusting.

#14, you are correct, and that was the second huge smash of BSA, but Rex Tillerson is the one who opened the door with his heavy handed efforts to let in openly homosexual scouts. To hell with "morally straight" and any other moral standards. I truly despise Tillerson and also Gates, of course. How these subversive SOBs could have been permitted to be in positions of power in BSA is beyond me. They are traitors, in reality. They need be spat upon if you ever chance to meet them, and a quick explanation of "WHY".
