If you want to win an election, yelling about global warming and blaming air conditioners, cars, plastic straws, and jets -- while jetting in to do it -- is probably not the best way to sell it to voters. So to the surprise of no one except the far leftists hollering about it, the Democratic Party's leadership has decided to cancel a proposed presidential nomination debate on climate change, enraging the party's extremists: "This decision is as baffling as it is alarming. Our planet is burning— the least we can do as a party is debate what to do about it," [candidate Beto] O'Rourke said on Twitter

Hey Beto, everything you say is totally baffling to my mind.

Yep. And their draconian, lunatic, obviously destructive "solutions" are not going to be popular, either.

Good news! I guess that seems Steyer won't be jumping into the race.

Maybe the 9 category 3 or higher hurricanes about to strike the US mainland (according to a recent NY Post headline) will get this important issue back on the table.

IF.... dems were to be elected, there's no guarantee they would not act upon global warming anyway. There would still be enough village idiots to go along with the hoax.

Even the most fanatical climate change believers don't want to change their lifestyles to 'save the planet'. The whole issue is just a political talking point.

Their dilemma is that they need lots of "deplorable" people who go to work and pay bills to vote for them.
They disregard them, despise them and think them idiots....but every four years they have to pretend they are all on the same team.

You better believe that after the leftist and liberal Democrat Nominee is chosen and during the run up to the general election, that the Nominee himself or herself, the Democrats, and their media allies will be fraudulently claiming that the Nominee, whoever that person turns out to be, even if the Democrats commit political suicide by nominating a Democrat socialist, is more conservative than President Trump.

I dunno about this. Everywhere I looked this last week there was an article or news item about the catastrophic effects of global warming. Must have seen five items about the 'last glacier in Iceland' this week. Warmest July on record. If it flopped, it flopped.
But they were giving it the college try.

The National Geographic is a great bargain. Beautiful glossy photos on paper made in and polluting northern New Hampshire for years. I buy it for my office, very inexpensive, but it is rarely read, other than by myself. So, I have 40 years of stacks of N. G.
I notice that for past several years, you can rarely read a paragraph before hearing about man made climate change. This month, it has practically melted Greenland. Local letters to editor suspect that Trump is trying to buy it to cover up the crime.
No wonder people are preferring animated cartoon movies for entertainment.

Shh Beto! Didn't you take Dem Strategy 101? We can't talk about our intended policies before an election. We have to wait until we win enough power and then crow that we have a mandate to do the things we never talked about during the campaign. Don't worry, when the time is ripe, we'll ram the Green Weinie down the Deplorable Unredeemable Clingers' throats!

Thank you Lord for Donald J. Trump. America would be in TATTERS if not for a REAL MAN running the USA (with resistance, moronic behaviors and very nearly ALL Yellow Stream Media after him at every turn and making stuff up when needed).

Their debate was torpedoed - - when their Divine Lightbringer dropped $20 million on a waterfront estate.
There went the "deluge of the rising seas" argument.

In the referenced video, Varney says he is "surprised" that voters aren't more responsive to Climate Change issues. With all the reporting on extreme weather, he expected voters to react.
But here's the rub. While the media is actually doing part of its job and reporting on events, they aren't putting them in context. Yes, extreme weather can be scary. But weather, up to a few years ago, was deemed boring. So only the most extreme weather got coverage. Then the Climate Alarmists declared that they were losing the battle of media. The Leftist media responded with almost nightly reports on extreme weather. However, they leave out the context that weather events they are now covering are pretty typical. In fact, there are somewhat LESS extreme events than usual. That doesn't play well into the Alarmist narrative so they conveniently leave it out.
There is another inconvenient fact. When you bombard people with negatives, over time, they become desensitized to it. They begin to perceive it as "normal", which, in this case, it actually is. When twister after twister hits every tornado season people begin to realize that this is the norm of tornado season. The same with hurricanes, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, floods, etc.. Sure every now and then a true outlier pops up, a really destructive flood for example. That doesn't confirm the Alarmists claims. The trends are mostly stable or lowering.
That's why voters are yawning. Algore making a movie doesn't make it true. In fact, it's probably not.
