Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis declared on Wednesday that a controversial student curriculum called “Critical Race Theory” would no longer be permitted in the state’s public schools. During a news conference in Naples, the popular Republican governor denounced the curriculum as divisive, racist, and anti-American. “There’s no room in our classrooms for things like critical race theory,” he said. “Teaching kids to hate their country and to hate each other is not worth one red cent of taxpayer money./snip for tweet/ “So we will invest in actual, solid, true curriculum, and we will be a leader in the development and implementation of a world-class civics education,” he continued.

A Brooklyn homeowner unable to evict an allegedly deadbeat tenant because of new state housing laws claims she has been forced to live in her car for weeks. Shawna Eccles, 30, says in court papers she sleeps on the couches of friends and relatives whenever she can, and in her four-door Toyota when she can’t, after fighting and failing for months to evict Sharita Patterson, 33, from the two-family home in Carnarsie. “There is no one I can stay with until I am able to evict, and all of my money covers the mortgage, water bill and property taxes,” Eccles told The Post.

A woman was arrested at a bank in Texas on Thursday after she refused to wear a face mask inside the building, police said. The encounter was captured on an officer’s body camera. Police in Galveston said the woman, identified as 65-year-old Terry White, was charged with resisting arrest and criminal trespass after she became uncooperative with the officer. This incident came a day after the statewide mask mandate was officially lifted for public areas. According to the governor’s order, however, private businesses are still allowed to require masks as they see fit. The officer told White she needed to leave the Bank of

If one were to go to Washington D.C. today and walk around the Capitol Building, to the extent that you can even get close to it these days, you’d be mistaken for thinking you were in a third-world country. The current fortifications and military presence feel much more apt for an embassy in Baghdad than they do for the center of the U.S. government. We are now over two months out since the January 6th riot, where the most recent information shows that not a single person was killed with malice or intent except for a woman shot by police. If what occurred was a

I bring good news. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released new ‘rules’ for those who have received one of the coronavirus vaccines. You’ll be excited to know that you can enjoy “limited” freedom, according to CNN. The CDC releases guidelines giving limited freedoms to people fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Here are the rules to keep following. https://t.co/OIBqTGyyTq — CNN Breaking News (@cnnbrk) March 8, 2021 The framing here is just incredible. A mainline news outlet is presenting the CDC as the arbiter of freedom without even a second thought about questioning whether these guidelines even make any

A couple of hundred folks showed up on the steps of the capitol in Idaho to speak out against masks. Kids participated in burning masks. /snip for Tweet/ One of the organizers, Darr Moon, said it wasn’t a protest but a gathering against government overreach to “re-establish our Republican form of government, a government that has balance between the branches. And, uh, we were kind of that belief that we need a well-defined government and certain boundaries, and that’s not what we have today.” There were reportedly a couple of hundred people out including three Republican lawmakers, including the lieutenant governor. Many displayed signs

The United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA), the largest local teachers’ union in California, rejected Governor Gavin Newsom’s school reopening plan on Monday, calling it “”a recipe for propagating structural racism.” The plan, which was announced by Newsom and Democratic leaders in the state legislature, provides $6.6 billion for schools to accelerate the reopening process as coronavirus cases drop. “$2 billion would fund safety measures to support in-person instruction, such as personal protective equipment, ventilation upgrades and COVID-19 testing. $4.6 billion would fund expanded learning opportunities, such as summer school, tutoring and mental health services,” the governor’s office said in a press release.

A man has described how he was handcuffed, arrested and stripped in a police cell for the crime of not giving his name after being caught taking his family to their favourite Welsh beach. /snip for tweet/ Radek Kotlarek moved to Wales from London with his family seven years ago for a peaceful life. But his treatment at the weekend by Welsh police, he says, was more redolent of Nazi German or the communist era in his native Poland. He told his story to Breitbart London:My family has been on edge for sometime under lockdown. We have suffered sickness and death among our relatives back

Illegal aliens are in for some gravy. Unlike legal immigrants who must pay their own way to their final destinations in this 5,077-mile span country, the Biden administration has introduced free flights for illegals to their destination of choice. Want a free trip to Hawaii? Off you go, courtesy of U.S. taxpayers but only if you arrive in the U.S. illegally and can name someone (legal or not) there who will take you in. According to this report from Hot Air: Since January, according to the Washington Post, “the number of [illegal immigrant] minors in federal custody has more than tripled to 7,000” and that Health

Dr. Sherri Tenpenny is an American osteopathic physician who is making some disturbing claims about the dangers to human health from the new vaccines being produced by companies such as Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZenica — dangers she predicts will manifest themselves over the next three to six months or so. These mRNA vaccines contain instructions for building antibodies to the spike protein that has been identified on the surface of the COVID virus. On her website, vaxterr.com, Dr. Tenpenny explains how there are two primary types of white blood cells called macrophages: type 1 (M1) kills the pathogen cells, and type 2 (M2) cleans up dead cells and promotes

These are crazy times. A pandemic led to national quarantine; to self-induced recession; to riot, arson, and looting; to a contested election; and to a riot at the U.S. Capitol. In response, are we focusing solely on upping the daily vaccination rate? Getting the country back to work? Opening the schools as the virus attenuates? Ensuring safety in the streets? Or are we descending into a sort of madness? It might have been understandable that trillions of dollars had to be borrowed to keep a suffocating economy breathing. But it makes little sense to keep borrowing $2 trillion a year to prime an economy now set to roar back

A rocket strike on a US base in Iraq by a group believed to have links to Iran has wounded several Americans and killed a foreign contractor. More than a dozen 107mm rockets were last night fired at the military complex in Erbil airport that has hosted troops deployed as part of the international alliance fighting ISIS since 2014. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he was 'outraged' and vowed to 'hold accountable those responsible' without giving details on the injured Americans. The bombardment was claimed by a shadowy group calling itself 'Guardians of Blood,' which US forces believe is one of many which have CORRECTION*
