A group of open borders activists threatened employees of a government contractor in Florida that provides facility space for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency to detain border crossers and illegal aliens the day before a shooting at the contractor’s offices in Texas. In exclusive footage captured by Matt Perdie of Breitbart News, protesters with Never Again Action, Miramar Circle of Protection Friends of Miami-Dade Detainees, Food Not Bombs Fort Lauderdale, Students Working for Equal Rights, and the Black Lives Matter Alliance of Broward County shouted threats at workers and former employees of the GEO Group, a private contractor used by ICE for facility and detention space.

And of course, protesting makes more sense than helping the illegals. Hey, take some gift cards for pizza to the center. Are you looking to create problems or create a solution?

WASHINGTON – Yes, President Donald Trump is really considering purchasing Greenland. "We're looking at it," top White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said on "Fox News Sunday." That's despite the fact that Greenland's government told President Donald Trump on Friday that the island was "not for sale." (Snip) Kudlow said Sunday the issue is "developing." "I don’t want to predict an outcome," Kudlow said. "I’m just saying: the president, who knows a thing or two about buying real estate, wants to take a look at a Greenland purchase."

Israel on Thursday announced that it would deny Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) entry to the territory during an upcoming overseas trip, according to multiple reports. The decision was announced moments after President Trump tweeted that it would show "great weakness" for Israel to allow the two congresswomen into the country. The president has been an outspoken critic of both Omar and Tlaib, who last year became the first two Muslim women elected to Congress.

Despite over 100 posts at Legal Insurrection on the Gibson’s Bakery v. Oberlin College conflict and lawsuit, I just read a fresh perspective on what happened. The perspective is that of Abraham Socher, currently Editor of the Jewish Review of Books. Pertinent to this discussion, Socher is a former Oberlin College Associate Professor of Religion and Director of Jewish Studies, where he taught for 18 years. In March 2016, when still at the college, Socher wrote in the student-run Oberlin Review about Joy Karega, whose anti-Semitic conspiracy rants on Facebook were another in an long line of Oberlin College scandals, Karega-Mason’s Facebook Posts Anti-Semitic.

RUSH: The Drive-Bys, they’re incorrigible. Now they are literally trying to once again talk the people of this country into a recession. Now they’re doing it with the inverted yield curve. And the whole problem here is the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve is anti-Trump, is making a mess of the interest rate circumstance. So many people in that town want rid of Trump that they’re going to stop at nothing. It doesn’t matter what damage they do to the economy or the country. And it’s not unprecedented, folks. This has been done before.

Gibson’s Bakery co-owner David Gibson is fighting pancreatic cancer, he announced in a video posted Tuesday to the bakery’s Facebook page. He also said he believes Oberlin College is trying to wait until he and his 91-year-old father are dead as the two sides continue to battle in court in a case that resulted in the largest monetary award for libel in Ohio history. Doing so wouldn’t absolve the college of having to pay if it loses or exhausts all its appeals, according to an experienced First Amendment attorney who has been following the case.

The meeting should also include corporate heads with experience in urban renewal and Habitat for Humanity, which builds houses for the poor. The decision not to prosecute former FBI Director James Comey over his deliberate leaks to the media isn’t a sign of weakness or lack of will, but of the professionalism and well-reasoned restraint of President Trump’s Department of Justice. Attorney General Bill Barr’s number one goal since taking the helm at the DOJ has been to restore the impartial and professional ethos that has characterized that agency for more than 200 years.(Snip)Before this “investigation of the investigators” is over, there will undoubtedly be many cases of misconduct that warrant criminal prosecution. Real Time host Bill Maher doubled down on his desire for a recession Friday night. Maher has expressed his wish for a recession multiple times; hoping that an economic downturn would lead to President Trump losing his bid for a second term in the White House. Maher first indicated that he was rooting for a recession on June 8 of last year, when he said “I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point and by the way, I’m hoping for it because I think one way you get rid of Trump is to crash the economy. So please, bring on the recession.

After recasting his presidential candidacy in urgent terms during a speech in El Paso on Thursday, Beto O’Rourke, the former congressman from the Texas border city, will visit two sites in Oklahoma on Monday to call attention to domestic terrorism. He is expected to visit the memorial site of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and the Greenwood District of Tulsa, Oklahoma, where in 1921 white citizens attacked black residents and businesses in one of the worst episodes of racial violence in American history. The trip is part of an effort from the Texas Democrat to diversify his campaign stops beyond just the early primary states

WOODBURY, N.J. – A New Jersey woman is accused of torching a man's house after he invited her over for late-night sex, then fell asleep and did not hear her at his door. Taija Russell, 29, was arrested Tuesday in connection with a fire that destroyed a home earlier this month, said Woodbury police. Police accuse Russell of sending a series of angry texts to the slumbering resident, then buying lighter fluid, matches and a lighter at a nearby gas station around 4 a.m. on Aug. 4. Late one afternoon, while taking a leisurely stroll on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, a friend of mine named Tim Malloy ran into a trim, silver-haired neighbour of ours from Palm Beach in Florida. The man was walking down Madison Avenue, and several things about him were striking. For one thing, he was wearing slippers. Expensive, embroidered, monogrammed slippers. But slippers all the same. For another, he was accompanied by two exceptionally attractive women. As the man half shuffled, half walked down the avenue, the women walked slightly behind him, as if they were attendants or staff.

New goal for New York Times:

Perhaps when you think of the founding of the United States, you think of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Federalist Papers. Now, the New York Times wants to "reframe" your understanding of the nation's founding. In the Times' view (which it hopes to make the view of millions of Americans), the country was actually founded in 1619, when the first Africans were brought to North America, to Virginia, to be sold as slaves. This year marks the 400th anniversary of that event, and the Times has created something called the 1619 Project. This is what the paper hopes the project will accomplish:
Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib
Partnered with Vicious Anti-Semites

To the extent that I care at all about Israel blocking entry to two U.S. congresswomen who partner with anti-Semites who seek its destruction, I agree with critics who argue that Bibi Netanyahu should not appear to bow to Donald Trump’s tweeted demands and that blocking Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar from visiting Israel handed them a short-term propaganda victory. But that’s not the most important part of the story. The most important element of the story is the fact that two American congresswomen shunned a bipartisan congressional delegation to Israel to go on an independent trip to Israel sponsored by vicious anti-Semites.
