Former Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday snapped at a reporter from a right-wing outlet who said he misquoted President Trump's statement on white supremacists who clashed with counterprotesters in Charlottesville, Va., in 2017. Trump’s infamous response — that there were “very fine people on both sides” of the Charlottesville episode — drew widespread outrage among Democrats, Republicans and even members of his administration. Speaking to reporters at the Iowa State Fair, Biden was accused by Joel Pollak, host of “Breitbart News Tonight” on Sirius XM radio, of misquoting Trump. Pollak suggested Trump condemned the neo-Nazis who organized the rally.

OK, first we need to remember what the demonstration was about. It was NOT a "white supremecist" rally. It was a demonstration by people opposed to removing a Confederate statue from a park. The 'fine people' were the folks against removing the statue. The fact that some actual white supremecists showed up, and a few of them were sprinkled in, does not change the fact that the ORIGINAL purpose of the rally was against destroying a historic statue. The people of Virginia, especially the older ones, who were born and raised there, are VERY aware of the huge amount of American history which played out in their state, and the amazing number of truly great men who came from Virginia. I lived in Virginia for many of my earliest years, studied Virginia History in 3rd through 6th grades, and visited many truly historic sites on field trips, the House of Burgesses, Williamsburg, and many more. Idiot Joe is wrong, as usual. And again, Pres. Trump, when speaking at the time, and referring to the historic preservation types who were speaking out against the erasure of Virginia history was absolutely right. The Enemedia lies, and they have consistently lied about this event.

Like the manifesto of the El Paso shooter, lazy liberal "journalists" pick small bits of something and fixate on it to make a story fit their political agenda. They ignore a large amount of information that doesn't agree with their agenda. Biden and all of the the Democrat candidates are doing the same thing. Only use the bits that fit your agenda and ignore the chunks of info that don't. Repeat the selected bits over and over until it is accepted as truth.

The first time I saw Joseph Biden in action was at the Robert Bork hearings, when Robert Bork was being considered for a seat on the Supreme Court. There never was a man more qualified to sit on the Court - a true scholar and someone who would be a really fine Supreme Court Justice. It I happened in 1987. It was a long time ago, but the memory I have of him then, which still remains is, what a nasty man. He hasn't changed.

DES MOINES — Iowa, a decade ago, humbled Joe Biden. Now it has a chance to redeem him. His last presidential race ended abruptly in 2008 after he placed fifth in the state’s crucial Democratic caucuses, garnering less than 1% of the vote in the first contest of the primary season. (Snip) Biden, with his centrist political brand, faces a special challenge here: Iowa’s caucusgoers tend to be very liberal. They nearly delivered victory to Sanders in 2016. What’s more, the state is overwhelmingly white, so it does not play to Biden’s strength among African American voters, who are a
