Senator Mitt Romney is trying to prevent President Donald Trump from doing what many in Congress fear he plans to: Going easy on Huawei Technologies Co. as part of a trade deal with Beijing. In an amendment Romney submitted this week to the National Defense Authorization Act, the Utah Republican set out specific conditions for the commerce secretary to remove Huawei from a U.S. blacklist.

It doesn't sound to me like President Trump is going easy on Huawei, based on his actions. I think the issue is a straw man, put up by a never-Trump fool. Any deal President Trump would offer China over Huawei would have so many strings attached that the Chinese would never agree.

Romney isn't being tough on China, it is the opposite, he is setting clear easy terms to get Huawei out of trouble. Romney can't be president while he is easy on China, and he IS easy on China. What to do? Well, help them, but put out a press release that simply blandly claims otherwise. And lookee, it gets printed. Jenny Leonard. Noted.

The senator said he did not know if the proper setting for such an evaluation would be in the Congress or "whether it's another setting, I'm not sure."

If Hillary Rodham Clinton insists she’s not running for president in 2020, why is she running… all over the place? Well, for one thing, Her Heinous has always believed in the value of high visibility as a means of enhancing her political chances When she’s out of sight it’s almost like she’s out of her mind. To that self-serving purpose, she and Bill arranged a cross-country tour of joint speaking engagements that began last year. It was to be a means of keeping their power-presumptive connubial image front and fresh in the public eye, but flopped almost from the start.

If hypocrisy equals people, Democrats in Washington are China. The latest example of such bold duplicity by the Democratic Party is the secret "A-list" of potential Supreme Court (SCOTUS) judges Democrats refuse to reveal while they turn blue on Capitol Hill screaming for more transparency from the Trump administration. Democrat leaders and activists working for Alliance for Justice are keeping their SCOTUS list under lock and key. Why? What do Democrats want to hide? Perhaps it's the fact that this list of potential justices for SCOTUS contains the names of the most liberal, activist judges in the land?
