MODESTO, Calif. — Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke on Monday released a sweeping, $5 trillion plan to combat what he regularly refers to as the “greatest threat” our nation faces: climate change. O’Rourke’s four-pillar framework, detailed in a campaign memo, combines proposed executive action with legislation he pledges to introduce within his first 100 days in office and outlines further steps to take in response to climate-related disasters in the future. It amounts to the first major policy rollout for a campaign that critics have targeted for being light on specifics. “The greatest threat we face — which will

The greatest threat our nation faces is progressive Marxist socialism and man-caused climate change believers. Sorry Obozo The Dork, there will be no first 100 days in the Oval Office for you. Take a hike and shut your pie hole. Get in an SUV with a trunk full of AR-15´s, shotguns and cases of ammo and go to your local firing range and get some stress relief. Be careful, because since you´ve never fired any of these weapons, your shoulder might get black and blue and deeply bruised.

I guess no one told "Beto" that climate change is way, WAY down on the list of things people worry about.
Really, he´s got the same problem they all do? How to run against an economically successful president?

Why limit it to 5 trillion?! why not print up 67,970,491,554,978,001,985 megagazilliondrillionbazillion dollars and really deal with the problem? Think bold, Dims!

People in a low income community really want to hear about a very expensive government plan to “combat climate crisis”.
Community of a little above 200,000. According to Wikipedia,
According to the 2011 American Community Survey 5-Year estimate, the median income for a household in the city was $49,852, and the median income for a family was $56,629.[41] Males had a median income of $47,473 versus $37,629 for females. The per capita income for the city was $22,886. About 14.9% of families and 18.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 27.3% of those under age 18 and 9.5% of those age 65 or over.
In September 2010, the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research released a study indicating that 32% of the population was obese vs. a statewide average obesity rate of 22.7%. Poverty was one of the factors listed as contributing to the high obesity rates.[citation needed]

Does this mean no more rainy weekends? 0r only Category 1 hurricanes? No more tornadoes? No droughts longer than 10 days? No temperatures above 87 Fahrenheit or below 32 Fahrenheit? No humidity levels above 70%? Or, only above average crops yields? Or, does it mean an EPA of 135,000 employees rather than current 17,000 along with far higher prices for everything along with shocking restrictions on how we travel, farm, manufacture and live our lives?
Please, Rob, now known as Beto, give us some tangible benefits so that we can measure the success or failure for spending $5 trillion on changing the weather.

At least he´s going to make the wealthy and large corporations pay for it. The rest of us are off the hook.
I still can´t figure out how rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement is going to help us. I guess that´s why he´s presidential material and I´m not.

Well, I am a cat person and trust me no self respecting cat would be caught dead with this guy. And I have no doubt they would enjoy throwing up a hairball in one of his shoes. I don´t know what all the worry is about. 12 years and we are done. Not worth the time or the money even if it was true. Besides it will do absolutely no good since some of the most populated countries in the world have no intention of doing anything.

Third, the United States has lowered it´s CO2 without being a member, but by shifting from coal to natural gasoline in many power plants.

They always have plans to combat a problem. Where are the guts to have total victory over any given problem? And what´s the cost. They will never tell you that. I´ll bet Global Warming will be the same rather or not we spend $5T anyway. If it even existed in the first place.

Whaling away at that deceased equine continues but climate is way down people´s list of things they worry about. The ongoing invasion on our southern border is way more important to most of us. It´s the big reason why DJT sits in the Oval Office and not the Rodham woman.
