President Donald Trump on Wednesday celebrated progressive Abdul El-Sayed's win in the Michigan Democratic Senate primary, hailing it as a boon to Republicans.
El-Sayed narrowly defeated Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Mich., in the Democratic primary. What had been expected to be a clear win for him, however, ended up being a close contest that the Associated Press did not call until Wednesday morning. He will face former Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., in the general election.
Trump, for his part, suggested that El-Sayed's win was a benefit to Rogers.

Democrat voters in Michigan are jumping ship in droves after radical progressive Abdul El-Sayed narrowly clinched the Democratic Senate nomination Tuesday night.
Even loyal MS NOW viewers and self-described liberals are openly declaring they will not vote for the socialist-backed candidate and will instead support Republican Mike Rogers in November.
MS NOW host Chris Jansing herself reported the stunning defection:
“And I want to tell you really quickly, as I was getting on the plane this morning, A guy who was a big fan of MSNOW said to me, ‘I’m anxious to see who wins… I voted for Haley Stevens … because of Israel.

UPDATE: NBC has officially called the Michigan Senate race for far-left Democratic Socialist Abdul El-Sayed.
Islamo-Marxist Abdul El-Sayed appears on track to defeat the so-called moderate Democrat in the Michigan Democratic Primary for Senator.
Stevens was backed by Michigan Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Senator Chuck Schumer.
El-Sayed will now face former Rep. Mike Rogers, who ran unopposed in the GOP primary, in the November general election. El-Sayed has denied that he is a socialist, but he’s attended and spoken at at least six DSA events over the years, according to Fox.
“I’m not technically or practically DSA,” he claimed in an interview last month. “I am not somebody who is a socialist.

The Spanish immigration crisis has exposed cracks in the European Union and an opportunity for right-wing leaders heading into elections next year in Spain, Italy and France.
Last week, tens of thousands of migrants poured over the Spanish border at Ceuta, a North African exclave ruled by Spain since 1580. The small coastal city is situated on a narrow peninsula on the southern edge of the Strait of Gibraltar between Spain and Morocco — the only place where a European border touches Africa.
Instead of fully backing Spain as they may have done in the past, more than 20 European leaders instead criticized —

Zohran Mamdani, the mayor of New York, has just stirred up a lot of controversy. He said that he wanted to go after property owners who had homes worth more than $5 million, and they were likely to be second homes.
In other words, they had a primary residence elsewhere, either in the state of New York, outside the state, or in a foreign country.

The first fortnight of Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s government appears to indicate that his administration, like those before his, will once again be overshadowed by the migrant crisis in the English Channel, with over 2,000 illegals arriving on British shores since he took power just two weeks ago.
A further 326 illegal migrants successfully crossed the Channel from the French coastline on Saturday in people-smuggler-coordinated small boats, taking the total number since Burnham was installed in Downing Street by the left-wing Labour Party last month to 2,057.

Former White House COVID Task Force Coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx threw Fauci under the bus after the former NIAID director refused to answer questions during last week’s senate hearing.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former NIAID director and face of America’s disastrous COVID response, finally appeared under subpoena last Wednesday morning before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
After enjoying his celebrity status and appearing on all of the networks during the Covid pandemic, all of a sudden Fauci shut his mouth and refused to explain his actions.
Fauci (unlawfully) pleaded the Fifth Amendment 111 times.

Even former high-ranking officials from the institutions of the European Union are beginning to speak out against the undemocratic regime of the unelected, untransparent, unaccountable European Commission -- especially under its senior bureaucrat, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
The European Commission was never meant to have any power beyond what its EU member states granted it.
"My concept of the mission was to establish a law enforcement authority to help nation state authorities protect their borders, not to be an NGO or a humanitarian agency." — Fabrice Leggeri, former Executive Director of Frontex, the EU's Border and Coast Guard Agency, The European Conservative, May 27, 2024.

Rupert Lowe has set out five conditions under which he could work with Nigel Farage, including restoring Britain’s borders, reversing the “Islamification” of Britain and holding a referendum on the death penalty. The Express has the story:
The first thing that must be agreed upon in order for the two parties to work together, he said, is “restoring our borders”.
Mr Lowe said: “Ending mass immigration is not enough. The hour is just too late for that. It must be reversed.” …
Secondly, the parties must agree to restore Britain’s “demographic security”, suggesting that white Britons will become a minority later this century.
Mr Lowe said:

Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman vowed to undo Gov. Kathy Hochul’s “oppressive” and “reckless” pied-à-terre tax if elected – as it was revealed the Big Apple plans to hire dozens of employees just to process the new fee.
Blakeman, who’s currently serving as the elected Nassau County executive, issued a dire warning Thursday saying state Democratic Party policies will drive more New Yorkers out of the city, which already carries a 12.5% local tax burden, the third highest in the country.
“This reckless tax will drive even more families, jobs, and investment out of our state, and middle-class New Yorkers will pay the price,” Blakeman said.

Gov. Abigail Spanberger, D-Va., announced that she has restored voting rights to 66,085 Virginians who had prior felony convictions.
Virginia’s constitution doesn't allow convicted felons to vote after serving their sentences unless a governor restores their voting rights.
“I’m proud that — after contending with my predecessor’s efforts to deny Virginians their fundamental rights — we have restored the rights of more than 66,000 Virginians who have served their time,” Spanberger said in a statement. “These Virginians deserve the right to use their vote, make their voices heard, and be recognized as contributing citizens to our Commonwealth and country.”

Democrats are never ones for context. They love to have reasons to pretend they are destroying corruption when they are really going after personal political opponents. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), for instance, had her warpaint and Tomahawk out as she screeched, “Is RFK Jr.'s son getting a cut of a $50 MILLION settlement that his dad could have influenced? I'm investigating.” Naturally, she needs something to investigate to avoid investigating Anthony Fauci and the pharmaceutical companies that pushed COVID vaccines that we now know, courtesy of Fauci‘s journal, were quite ineffective and sometimes injurious.
