Zohran Mamdani, the mayor of New York, has just stirred up a lot of controversy. He said that he wanted to go after property owners who had homes worth more than $5 million, and they were likely to be second homes.
In other words, they had a primary residence elsewhere, either in the state of New York, outside the state, or in a foreign country.

The first fortnight of Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s government appears to indicate that his administration, like those before his, will once again be overshadowed by the migrant crisis in the English Channel, with over 2,000 illegals arriving on British shores since he took power just two weeks ago.
A further 326 illegal migrants successfully crossed the Channel from the French coastline on Saturday in people-smuggler-coordinated small boats, taking the total number since Burnham was installed in Downing Street by the left-wing Labour Party last month to 2,057.

Former White House COVID Task Force Coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx threw Fauci under the bus after the former NIAID director refused to answer questions during last week’s senate hearing.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former NIAID director and face of America’s disastrous COVID response, finally appeared under subpoena last Wednesday morning before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
After enjoying his celebrity status and appearing on all of the networks during the Covid pandemic, all of a sudden Fauci shut his mouth and refused to explain his actions.
Fauci (unlawfully) pleaded the Fifth Amendment 111 times.

Even former high-ranking officials from the institutions of the European Union are beginning to speak out against the undemocratic regime of the unelected, untransparent, unaccountable European Commission -- especially under its senior bureaucrat, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
The European Commission was never meant to have any power beyond what its EU member states granted it.
"My concept of the mission was to establish a law enforcement authority to help nation state authorities protect their borders, not to be an NGO or a humanitarian agency." — Fabrice Leggeri, former Executive Director of Frontex, the EU's Border and Coast Guard Agency, The European Conservative, May 27, 2024.

Rupert Lowe has set out five conditions under which he could work with Nigel Farage, including restoring Britain’s borders, reversing the “Islamification” of Britain and holding a referendum on the death penalty. The Express has the story:
The first thing that must be agreed upon in order for the two parties to work together, he said, is “restoring our borders”.
Mr Lowe said: “Ending mass immigration is not enough. The hour is just too late for that. It must be reversed.” …
Secondly, the parties must agree to restore Britain’s “demographic security”, suggesting that white Britons will become a minority later this century.
Mr Lowe said:

Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman vowed to undo Gov. Kathy Hochul’s “oppressive” and “reckless” pied-à-terre tax if elected – as it was revealed the Big Apple plans to hire dozens of employees just to process the new fee.
Blakeman, who’s currently serving as the elected Nassau County executive, issued a dire warning Thursday saying state Democratic Party policies will drive more New Yorkers out of the city, which already carries a 12.5% local tax burden, the third highest in the country.
“This reckless tax will drive even more families, jobs, and investment out of our state, and middle-class New Yorkers will pay the price,” Blakeman said.

Gov. Abigail Spanberger, D-Va., announced that she has restored voting rights to 66,085 Virginians who had prior felony convictions.
Virginia’s constitution doesn't allow convicted felons to vote after serving their sentences unless a governor restores their voting rights.
“I’m proud that — after contending with my predecessor’s efforts to deny Virginians their fundamental rights — we have restored the rights of more than 66,000 Virginians who have served their time,” Spanberger said in a statement. “These Virginians deserve the right to use their vote, make their voices heard, and be recognized as contributing citizens to our Commonwealth and country.”

Democrats are never ones for context. They love to have reasons to pretend they are destroying corruption when they are really going after personal political opponents. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), for instance, had her warpaint and Tomahawk out as she screeched, “Is RFK Jr.'s son getting a cut of a $50 MILLION settlement that his dad could have influenced? I'm investigating.” Naturally, she needs something to investigate to avoid investigating Anthony Fauci and the pharmaceutical companies that pushed COVID vaccines that we now know, courtesy of Fauci‘s journal, were quite ineffective and sometimes injurious.

Drone warfare is at the forefront of every nation's developing defense technology and the Trump administration is utilizing private sector "incubators" to bring America's best and brightest together to protect the country, including one new company's groundbreaking product to counter malign drones within seconds.
"We are acting as an incubator, as a catalyst for all of those potential solutions in the private sector...a competition for the best athlete to find out not only what drones we need, because we're not going to be buying drones from other countries, we're going to be building them here for our war fighters,

You've heard it before. I know you have. We all have. It’s an arrogant, attention-seeking, look-at-me statement. It’s designed to hide moral lethargy behind a smokescreen of independent freethinking. And the statement is this: I’m very spiritual. I just don’t buy into organized religion.
Wow. That’s deep, my man. I’d ask you to explain what the hell that even means, but I doubt you’ve thought that far past your bumper sticker talking point. But let’s break it down.
You specifically call out organized religion. Is there a difference between religion and organized religion? Is any religion unorganized? And if not, what specifically about the organization of religion negates its value?

During his closing monologue on Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher said that he can’t go a week without seeing a “newly-chosen exciting new face in the Democratic Party” that is a Communist or some other version of crazy and he would back Sarah Palin over the DSA. Maher began by saying, “Donald Trump has told one trillion lies, but when he says the Democratic Socialists of America are actually Communists, that’s not one of them.”
He added that his vote would be “in play” if the Democratic Party kept trending in the DSA’s direction, “And here’s why:

Democrats and LGBTQ+ activist groups say they want to empower parents on their children’s programming, but they also vehemently oppose putting labels on TV and streaming shows that would alert parents to transgender content.
Concerned Women for America analyzed the streaming shows on Netflix geared toward young audiences, and found that more than 40% of most children’s programming includes some sort of LGBTQ+ theme.
The Federal Communications Commission sought comment from the general public, asking for suggestions on how the Television Oversight Monitoring Board can update TV ratings to alert parents to content such as the introduction of a male character “becoming” female or same-sex romance themes.
