Dozens of driverless trucks are hitting the road as industries rush toward automation. PepsiCo is partnering with autonomous vehicle startup Gatik to rollout a fleet of 35 driverless trucks, Wall Street Journal reported Monday. It’s reportedly the first time a U.S. company disclosed using autonomous trucks on public highways. The 26,000-pound vehicle featured by WSJ is one of many driverless trucks designed by Gatik with embedded cameras, radar, and lidar technology. The startup secured $600 million in revenue through multiyear contacts with multiple companies, according to WSJ. “These operations that we’re running today are real,”

What's worse, non skilled foreign drivers or remote controlled trucks on the road? Better call those ambulance chasers all over the telly.

There are too many unknown factors on the road. Things you can't even think of to prepare for. There is no way to program a vehicle and put it on a highway and think all will be well. It will be a catastrophic mess.

People seem to intentionally drive stupidly around big rigs, including RVs. There is one pattern that repeats: "I can't see around this rig and my exit is coming up so I will try to pass, oh, that's my exit!" (Dives wildly through traffic across the front of the rig and in front of other cars taking the exit.) At least once every trip.

The only "entity" that can stop this "AI automation wave" is the American "Trial Lawyer." Once their civil lawsuits begin stacking up with every one of the "headless" vehicle accidents be it, running over a person, other car, egress off-road and onto another's property. In toto, eventually the dreaded, "Cost vs. Benefit Analysis" dragon will be awakened, with swift judgement ensued. Just maintaining legal counsel as the company "shield" allowing vehicle operation still weighs heavily on the corporate budget. At some point, the truth will be evident, which is that, even though people are a pain in the patoot, they are overall still cheaper than automation. This is why McDonalds still has humans preparing food orders, and Airlines still operating aircraft with a Co-Pilot.

As its national influence has risen, the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has simultaneously grown more extreme. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the group’s “Red Rabbits” initiative. The Red Rabbits Security Commission, a subgroup within the DSA focused on “community defense” efforts, is, according to its authorizing resolution, preparing for a “national uprising against federal agents and police brutality.” In practice, that means training cadres in tactics like armed and unarmed self-defense, blocking intersections, and fighting “fascists” with umbrellas. A recent panel offered an unprecedented window into what the project looks like. Organizers from Minnesota, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, Tucson, Austin, and Portland compared notes.

Wyoming residents are in an uproar over plans to build a “man camp” to house thousands of out-of-state workers flocking to the region to build massive, power-hungry data centers — the latest instance of Americans revolting against such projects. Local officials are weighing a pitch from project developer Iron Guard Housing for a “temporary workforce housing complex” for as many as 5,600 laborers and townspeople in the state capital, Cheyenne, according to the Wall Street Journal. State data show the new complex would be a small city in itself, larger than 84 of Wyoming’s incorporated cities and towns — and those who remember previous

What’s top of mind for our dear lawmakers in Washington, D.C.? An issue that concerns about 0.00343% of the American population: private jets. As the proles worry and fret and budget for, among other things, high gas and grocery prices, Congress is quibbling over private jet taxes. A hotly debated provision — hidden, of course, in an “air-safety” bill — would reportedly make it easier for the ultra-wealthy to dodge paying taxes on their private jets. The legislation would block tax officials from accessing crucial flight data. This data would allow state and local tax collectors to better pinpoint jet owners avoiding taxes by registering their planes in states like

All these states need is more leftists to move in, and the states will flip from red to blue. Up until now, though, the problem has been giving leftists a reason to want to live in a state like Wyoming, the Dakotas, or Idaho. Enter data centers. However, he said that California is now blocking a federal audit of its voter rolls. This is a state that "allows first-time voters to register" to vote using gym membership cards, employer ID cards, credit or debit cards, prescription drug labels, and insurance cards in a state that allows illegal immigrants to get state-funded insurance. None of these identification methods shows a social security number or proof of US citizenship.
