Insufferable NeverTrumper John Bolton has worked out a plea deal and will plead guilty to a single count of “illegal retention of sensitive national security documents,” reports far-left CNN. Bolton was originally charged with “eight counts of transmission of national defense information and 10 counts of retention of national defense information.” A conviction on any of those counts would’ve meant serious jail time. On this one count, although the penalty is up to five years in prison, the deal apparently comes with Bolton agreeing to plead guilty and pay a fine of $2.25 million without jail time. However, a judge could still sentence the 77-year-old to prison regardless of the plea agreement.

The 'Stache had an illegal stash of highly classified documents. Trump, as president, has leeway that others don't have. Bolton's TDS isn't illegal by itself, but that led to the purloined documents and his present trouble. He tried to take Trump out, and failed. If he falls into a Khumbu Icefall legal crevasse that's 300 feet deep, with no escape, and vacations at Club Fed, there won't even be any crocodile tears for him.

Think regular Joe-Smo would get the same deal. Yeah, right. Anti-Americanism of all stripes pays well, doesn't it? What judge will give Bolton prison time? I do love the accurate term in the article for CNN, though. Far-left. Not related specifically, but I guess SC can look forward to six more years of Lindsey Graham stabbing America in the back. They're all playing US.

As the vote-count totals crawl across Los Angeles and California, The California Post visited the county’s 144,000-square-foot ballot processing facility Thursday, which showed dozens of empty work stations. The scene at the warehouse appeared at odds with the mounting pressure to process hundreds of thousands of remaining ballots. County officials announced Wednesday night that just 77,521 additional ballots had been processed since June 2 election night, but an estimated 713,180 ballots are still outstanding. Yet during The Post’s visit, large sections of the facility appeared lightly staffed. Rows of workstations sat empty.

The House approved a war powers resolution Wednesday that would halt the US military action against Iran, defying President Donald Trump as a handful of Republicans joined with Democrats to end the three-month-long war that has reordered politics at home and abroad. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) had tried to prevent an outcome that would show the mounting opposition to the war, abruptly shutting down floor action two weeks ago when the war powers resolution was on the verge of approval. But displeasure has only grown as the conflict drags on and as Trump struggles to negotiate a quick resolution. The roll call Wednesday was 215-208,

Mom’s not the word. New York state Democrats passed a bill to erase words like “mother” and “father” from Family Court Law — in the latest gender-neutral rewriting in the state’s official records. “Mother” would be replaced with “gestating parent” while “father” becomes “non-gestating parent” and “paternity” proceedings would become “parentage” proceedings under the woke bill that was rammed through both houses of the state legislature this week. A “putative father” in paternity proceedings would now be defined as “an alleged parent” under the bill, which was sponsored by liberals Sen. Luis Sepulveda (D-Bronx) and Assemblywoman Amy Paulin (D-Westchester) and goes to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s desk for approval.

Americans saving for retirement often follow the “buy and hold” strategy, urging them to block out the daily volatility of markets, stick to long-term investment plans, and avoid playing stockbroker. The stock market’s growth over the last 15-20 years proves why that approach makes sense despite financial crises, geopolitical conflict, and fiscal showdowns. However, laws on the books in most states, if not properly reformed, could jeopardize the retirement nest eggs of those who saved and invested in a responsible manner. What very few Americans know is that their state government may have the legal right to undermine the “buy and hold” approach to saving. If you do not engage with

Americans should expect, at a minimum, to have elections that are free and fair, and results that are delivered promptly. But California is taking its laid-back reputation too far, failing to deliver its election results in a timely manner and creating the perception that they are neither free nor fair. Slothful election results have plagued California for years since it made wholesale changes to its election system in 2016. It has mass mail-in ballots that can be counted post-election and allows for an extremely slow pace of counting. Proponents of the system say this makes their elections more “secure” and accessible. Sixty-seven minutes elapsed between the time Henry Nowak was stabbed by Vickrum Digwa and his death, on December 3 last year, in Southampton, England. Sixty-seven minutes when his life could have been saved were it not for the incompetence and institutional corruption of the British police and the clannishness and cunning of an Indian Sikh family who knew just how to exploit those weaknesses to paint themselves, fatally, as the victims. By claiming the stabbing was really a racist attack against the stabber himself, the entire Digwa family ensured Henry Nowak would die.
