It's nice when something you knew was a fraud all along turns out to be a fraud, but it's even nicer when the people perpetrating the fraud admit it was a fraud all along. "The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has just published the next generation of climate scenarios," science policy analyst Roger Pielke Jr wrote late last week, and in what he called "big news," the new framework "eliminated the most extreme scenarios that have dominated climate research over much of the past several decades." So the oceans aren't about to boil off or freeze over or whatever the current scare story is? Exactly: "The IPCC and broader research community

Somebody somewhere said, "Well, heck, guys....nobody's buying this BS any more, so I think it's time to stop with the ridiculous claims". Never believed a word of it. Always have continued to do what I can to live a normal life. Now....can we blow up and haul away all those damned ugly, eyesore windmills and stop paving the SW in silicon modules? Also, I want EPA resetting auto emission standards to 2000 standards and LOCK THEM DOWN THERE, permanently. No further tightening needed EVER.

Climate scam began back in the early seventies, when Marxist Environmental Activist started pushing the "Cry Wolf" model. I call it that, because the activists, in magazines like Audobon and National Wildlife began pushing the idea that any issue had to be exaggerated to get attention. I call it the "Cry Wolf" model for obvious reasons.

As others here have speculated (myself included), I think it's because it suddenly dawned on them that they're going to need mega-energy to make the next enslavement method feasible--and that method is AI.

Well, this should be HUGE news and widely reported on the MSM if they were actually independent and honest reporters. FTA: "The IPCC and broader research community has now admitted that the scenarios that have dominated climate research, assessment and policy during the past two cycles of the IPCC assessment process are implausible. They describe impossible futures." This is important because the IPCC's changes resulted in "an update to the Science Based Targets initiative’s rules eliminates the need for steep emission cuts by 2030," Trellis reported on Friday. More FTA: — the upshot is that the previous frameworks lacked "any systematic effort to evaluate plausibility of scenarios." Now, however, "the new HIGH scenario is exploratory — a thought experiment, not a projection." "users of climate models and model output based on legacy scenarios will now face decisions about if and how they’d like to realign with the latest scientific understandings versus continuing to rely on outdated research." Sadly, and begs the question why this was buried and likely purposely hidden from the public. The new IPCC framework actually dates back to 2021, but is only now becoming “news” because a bunch of slow-moving pieces have finally lined up. That's just how science works. The LEFT can no longer say they are following the science any longer. They would be the deniers and have to figure out how they were so duped.

"the scenarios that have dominated climate research, assessment and policy during the past two cycles of the IPCC assessment process are implausible." AND "the previous frameworks lacked "any systematic effort to evaluate plausibility of scenarios."" In other words, the Alarmists made stuff up in a "scientific" article and then the reviews couldn't be bothered to determine if the outcomes were likely or pure bunk. Maybe they didn't want to look too carefully because they KNEW what they would find out; that it was all garbage science. However, since it was "the science" it could be quoted and had credibility. In fact, the Alarmists were furious that we wouldn't accept their "science". NOW it seems, their science was very close to science FICTION. Now, we have to ask all the people that were in hysterics because the earth was going to going to fry everyone, what they are going to do with all their implausible angst? We can revisit Ronald Reagan quote, "The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so many things that aren't so". The problem is, the Left takes their delusions of knowledge to heart and insists it be addressed, BEFORE they validate their "knowledge". When we point out the fallacies of their beliefs they get angry with us for questioning them. However, unexamined "knowledge" can be useless or even dangerous. With the IPCC in retreat, the Climate emergency dopes are doomed. I wonder if the evening news is going to back off of their nightly stories of "extreme" weather about tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, hot days, cold days that happen all the time as part of normal weather.

CBS’s 60 Minutes was once the gold standard for TV network investigative reporting. Of course, that was back when NBC’s Saturday Night Live was actually a comedy show in the 1980s, and it even made people laugh. Since then, both shows have survived mostly by reputation. Some people continue to tune in, looking for a spark of that long-lost magic these shows once had. In the case of 60 Minutes, it tends to try to do biased investigative work during Republican administrations, and it takes four or eight years off if a Democrat is in the White House. When Republicans are in exile, the program becomes less an investigative operation

Tuesday, May 5, 2026 - Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman has sent a handwritten letter to the federal court for the Eastern District of New York requesting to be extradited to Mexico to face charges in his home country, in a move that legal experts consider almost unlikely to succeed. The document, dated April 23 and formally received by the court on May 1, was processed through the Pro Se office of the Brooklyn court, confirming that the drug trafficker acted on his own, without the support or signature of his defense attorneys. The letter, written in grammatically incorrect English, appeals to concepts of "equity" and argues

Well, Seattle, like New York, has elected a real extremist as mayor. On March 31st, the U.S. crossed over a financial metric that should scare the heck out of all of us. On that day, our country’s debt exceeded 100% of GDP for only the second time since WWII. We now join debtor nations like Greece, Italy, France, and Canada as horrible stewards of our countries’ economies. High government borrowing raises the economic risk that interest costs will crowd out investment for everyone and make our system more vulnerable to shocks. The political risk is that it limits policy flexibility and fuels conflict over taxes, spending, and long-term obligations. High debt may be the single most powerful factor holding young people back from achieving

Despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the Democrat-media complex, the war with Iran is not a war of choice in any practical sense. If anything, the current operations represent the end of the great pretending, since Iran has long been at war with us, keeping their attacks just low enough in intensity or with just enough plausible deniability to allow for the continuance of that pretending. Iran is the single most committed and least deterrable enemy of the United States, and was developing ever more lethal means to inflict grave harm. Democrats and their media allies who mostly know better are calling operations against Iran a war of choice

Recently we learned that President Putin is spending more time in bunkers and cracking down on internal security as he fears the possibility of a drone strike or a coup. In addition to seeking to preserve his own personal security, Putin has cracked down on people's personal freedoms by shutting off social media and private messaging accounts and pushing everyone toward Kremlin-monitored accounts. But there are signs that this repression is starting to backfire as people are increasingly willing to oppose Putin publicly. Case in point, Ilya Remeslo, a former Putin supporter who spent years harassing Putin's enemies.

California Democrats have no idea how to define "hate speech," but they are going to mandate anti-hate speech training for companies with five or more employees. What's flabbergasting is that they don't care how hate speech is defined. They want to train employees not to speak it anyway. And if that seems unreasonable or just plain dumb, at least the law will be on the books for someone to be prosecuted for violating it. Note that "hate speech" is not illegal in the United States of America. It may be impolite. It may be irritating. It may even generate intense anger. But hate speech, like almost all speech, is constitutionally protected by

It started with an undeniably creepy, stalky video starring New York City's dashing young communist mayor, Zohran Kwame Mamdani. The mayor posted the video on Tax Day, April 15. In it, he announced the creation of a so-called pied-à-terre tax — a tax on luxury second homes within city limits. That was the commie part of the video; the creepy, stalky part was that he chose to film it in front of a building that houses a penthouse belonging to one individual billionaire. Mamdani called the man out by name — Ken Griffin, founder and co-owner of the Citadel hedge fund and securities empire — and stoked envy by disclosing
