The United States of America v. John Roberts

The Supreme Court is under attack. It has been under attack for years, almost exclusively from the left. And by “under attack,” I don’t mean the peaceful criticism. I mean everything from challenges to its legitimacy to outright ignoring its rulings to death threats against conservative justices. This began years ago. Chief Justice John Roberts initially responded by trying to stay apolitical and by trying to ignore the criticism. When President Barack Obama called him out during his 2010 State of the Union address, Roberts called the stunt “very troubling.” In the last two decades, that has been the entire extent of his pushback against the left.

Comments:

I remember how embarrassed Roberts was when he cast the crucial vote for Obamacare. I never trusted him for a minute after that, and he's gotten worse over the years.

I continue to believe Roberts is dysfunctional because of his epilepsy medications. The side effects are tough to handle. He could choose to reshape the federal judiciary, with the resolve of a John Marshall, but doesn't have the chops to do it. And that's a shame.

Clarence Thomas should be the Chief Justice. Roberts is just a tool for the Uniparty establishment.

It's pretty obvious that Roberts is compromised. The left has something on him that he cannot risk being revealed.

In December 2020, the shouting match between Roberts and Justice Clarence Thomas that occurred behind closed doors told me all I needed to know about Roberts. The various court clerks who overheard it claim that Roberts told Thomas to cool it regarding the cases alleging voting fraud or Roberts would move to have Thomas impeached and removed from the bench. #4, Roberts was thought to have Epstein connections, too, and needed the left to cover for him.

Probably wishful thinking, or some 'push' type propaganda, but I seem to recall not too long ago, hearing that Roberts was considering retirement. His primary driving force seems to be avoidance. I don't like conflict myself, but somebody who is a true leader has to get used to it or actually enjoy it. He could take some lessons from DJT!

We keep hearing it, over and over again, about how we Americans are somehow morally obligated to aliens – illegal or otherwise. About how we Americans are obligated to allow them into our country without our permission, and once they’re here, to not only subsidize them but to validate the garbage cultures that they came from and now insist on replanting in our sacred soil. But there’s a question that we need to start asking, particularly Republican politicians, whenever the subject of immigration arises. (Snip) No, when we’re talking about immigration, we need to ask a very simple question and demand an answer. What do immigrants owe us?

One of the most stunning and yet tediously repetitive features of America’s Donald Trump Experience is the expectation that President Donald Trump is going to become someone else. People across the political spectrum seem permanently immune to the realization that the country has elected a man who says and does extraordinarily shocking things. With metronomic consistency, they exclaim, “Can you believe what he said? He’s just completely nuts! Where’s my 25th Amendment?” (Snip) Over the course of two terms, Trump has altered the course of U.S. history, diverting and even reversing leftist agendas that seemed hopelessly unstoppable.

Well, it’s another glorious day, or something. President Donald Trump’s threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran have apparently worked, a “ceasefire” has been concluded, and as he did when he forced Israel to stop fighting Hamas when it had a chance to destroy the jihad terror group once and for all, Trump is once again hailing the dawn of peace in the Middle East: (Snip) The Islamic Republic of Iran was likewise in a celebratory mood, and in its joyful exuberance, fired off a round or two of celebratory missiles and drones into Israel and the Sunni states that it has targeted since the beginning of this conflict.

A viral clip is making the rounds showing Christopher Hitchens, who passed away in 2011, giving a talk in 2005. (Snip)In it, he discusses the Barbary slave trade that captured an estimated 1.5 million Europeans and Americans over several hundred years. (Snip)all of this has been driven by religious imperatives and duties written into the Koran. That is reality, not “Islamophobia,” a word the left recently invented to protect their radical Islamist allies in the West. The threat of destruction from radical Islamists, as we term them today, has always been real and as imminent as their abilities allow.

Oh no, the America First/MAGA coalition is completely falling apart because--and I want to make sure I’ve got this correct–Donald Trump has systematically destroyed a bunch of Third World semi-human pagan savages who have been murdering Americans for nearly 50 years before they could top a missile with a hot rock and nuke Philadelphia. Yeah, the coalition is gravely disappointed–but not in Trump. It’s disappointed that a small component of his coalition that, for reasons that remain elusive and probably involve extreme greed, a psychotic break, gross stupidity, and/or libertarianism,(Snip)has decided to adopt views that are functionally identical to those of the damn communists.

One of the things I’ve been tracking here and on my show on NewsNation is the polling on Operation Epic Fury, President Trump’s war on Iran’s nuclear and ballistic capabilities (Snip). The war doesn’t have majority support, of course; the Democrats are too addled by TDS. Well, the polls—many of them—suggest his base doesn’t agree. As I’ve pointed out repeatedly, there is no MAGA split on the war in Iran, or if there is, it’s the split between 90% of the base and the influencers who pretend to influence them. The theft of the 2020, 2022 and 2024 elections has moved to the Grand Jury stage, probable cause established and records seized in Maricopa and Fulton Counties. Next up, Philadelphia, Detroit and Milwaukee. All five should and may well lie under close Federal supervision on voting day during the 2026 midterms. (Snip)Thune has, grindingly, consented to refer the Save Act to a vote, possibly next week. Thune is, like most elected Republicans, pretendian MAGA counting the days when he can go back to playing defence and lining his pockets. The fact that voter fraud has deprived the Republicans of a clear unbreakable majority for THREE election cycles is clearly beyond him.

Western sources, always careful not to offend, describe Ramadan as “a month of intense spiritual renewal, focused on devotion.” In contrast, Islamic sources and clerics instruct devout Muslims to view it as a time for jihad, conquest, and martyrdom. (Snip) In fact, the common belief is that the call to wage jihad intensifies during Ramadan and that the divine reward for martyrdom during the daylight fasting month is greater. Therefore, it is troubling that government offices, military bases, public schools, and many corporate-run businesses across America celebrate Ramadan, and have been doing so for decades. This persists even though the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment prohibits favoring one religion

So it was the end of Ramadan yesterday or early this morning. I didn’t to know this. I don’t care about this. My position is that if people want to not eat during daylight hours because a psychopathic 7th century bandit and child rapist thought that was a good idea, or because imams subsequent to Mohammed have done so, it’s their primitive business and not a particular concern of mine. But I don’t get a choice about whether I engage with this nonsense. In Britain, it’s obligatory for our rulers to tell us how much they respect bullshit, so long as the bullshit in question is Communist or Muslim.

For decades, the American Left’s loudest voices on women’s issues styled themselves as fearless guardians of peace and equality. They chained themselves to fences at nuclear bases, waved “No Nukes” signs during the Reagan years, and lectured the rest of us about the patriarchy while demanding the Equal Rights Amendment and unfettered abortion. Jane Fonda, the original celebrity activist, was at the forefront—Vietnam-era traitor turned fitness-video feminist turned Trump-hating scold. Then Donald Trump happened. The moment Trump descended the golden escalator in 2015, something snapped. (Snip) Their feminism didn’t evolve; it mutated into a cult of anti-Trumpism so total that it now requires them to defend the indefensible.

The growing numbers of Muslims in the United Kingdom, along with their organized and issue-driven politics, has made them an increasingly consequential – if not outsizes – part of the country's electorate – representing new challenges for Prime Minister Keir Starmer's center-left government and efforts to maintain a unified stance on key issues. Recent elections have shown the country's estimated 4 million people, or roughly 6.5% of the country's overall population, have been enough to determine electoral outcomes in specific districts and nudge national parties to re-calibrate their platforms.

President Donald Trump survived two assassination attempts during the 2024 election, and Saturday night he was whisked away again from another lethal threat when a heavily armed gunman briefly breached a security checkpoint at one of Washington's most famous black-tie galas and exchanged gunfire before being subdued by the Secret Service. But Trump would not recoil. First he wanted to return to the White House Correspondents' Dinner before it was canceled, hoping to send a signal to a nation gripped by political vitriol and shaken by recent assassinations — from Charlie Kirk to Minnesota legislators – that “sick people” cannot “change the fabric” of the United States.
