While basking in the protection offered by America's military capability so they can fund their bulging, barely-functioning welfare programs, and taking advantage of America's powerful economy with preferential tariffs in their favor, when asked for support, these putative allies run for cover. (Snip)
[For] nearly five decades, relatively little, if any, condemnation was heard coming from the UK, France and Spain about Iran's despotic and murderous activities across a wide array of geographical arenas. Then, when the US made a small request -- the use of a base to remedy this global horror -- the UK turned it down.

Let's just get out of NATO. The once looming Soviet Bear is tied up in the Ukraine meat grinder and their satellite countries have left. While we are at it, we can start closing our bases there and let their local economies crater. We need that money here to help keep up our illegals in the style that they have come to expect.

Allies are changing. I suggest not only get out of NATO but also close our bases in those countries.

Are our bases there really a necessity any more? We have carriers, we hae drones that attack countries on the other side of the world and flown by people in mid America. We have nuclear armed submarines.
Our military in foreign countries does more for the foreign country than for us.
When the benefit is no longer mutual we should think about moving out.

The Leftists still love the euroweenies and want to make America like them yet they still hate Israel who has stood beside us and carried a sword right along with us. All of the money that we have dumped into the UN and NATO has been a huge waste. Now is the perfect time to cut Europe off, since they are standing on the precipice and willing to jump.

NATO is just another symptom of worldwide evil, like the UN.
The simple reality is that most of the world's leaders are grossly incompetent and weak. They are willing to accomodate evil if it allows them to stay in power. It is the same philosophy that the dems have with Socialism. If they can get Socialist votes to win elections, they will champion Socialist causes.
The problem is that Socialism and other evils in the world grow stronger if not opposed and destroy from within. Israel and the US, under Trump, KNOW this and do not allow the evil camels to get their noses into the tent of civilization. The other world leaders hate Israel and the US because their own weakness and failure is being exposed and they have let enough evil into their countries that they have lost effective control. They are standing on the gallows of judgement and awaiting their own populations to pull the lever and leave them dangling. There is no winning for these people and rather than face the reality of their own responsibility for their situation, they hate the ones, Israel and the US, that are pushing them toward the inevitable confrontation between good and evil that they will NOT survive as leaders.

European socialism and economies have been able to thrive because of America's protection for the last eighty years. While we've allowed European products to be sold here tariff free, European countries have installed huge tariffs on what American products that can be sold in their countries and in most cases have banned American products from being sold at all. All of this while not spending to protect themselves because Uncle Sam took care of that. It's way past time to stop this. With friends like this, who needs enemies.

Since Argentina is now a better US ally than Great Britain the UK shouldn't count on our help again on the Falkland Islands if Milei decides to abandon diplomacy and take them by force.

While it has become popular to beat the drum that our European allies are worthless ingrates for refusing, so far, to participate in a war that America and Israel launched, perhaps their hesitation is based upon recent history.
After America was attacked on 9/11 the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and Italy immediately joined with us to bring down the Taliban. France joined soon after, providing 60,000 troops over the course of that war. Both the UK and France suffered several thousand casualties. A total of 51 countries participated.
The Iraq war saw the United Kingdom sending in 46,000 troops with other NATO countries such as Denmark and Italy and even Spain providing troops. Germany and France declined because each country accurately said Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction.
Both of these wars were expensive failures where soldiers from all participating countries died. Iraq became a client state of Iran while we all know the humiliating end to the Afghanistan war. While the Iran War pom pom boys and girls seem to forget that our two recent Middle-East did not end well, our European allies have not forgotten.
President Trump is incorrect when he proclaims that our NATO allies have never come to our aid. Iraq and Afghanistan belie that claim. Insulting the countries that did join with us in two failed wars will hardly inspire those countries to help in yet another Mid-East war, especially one where their input and help was not sought before it began.

When it comes to the U.K., the essentially socialist governments there consisting of both the so-called Conservative Party, and the Labor Party that is completely socialist in reality, that have been in power for decades have essentially destroyed the U.K. armed forces as an effective fighting force, to the point that the British Royal Navy is having to borrow a warship from the German Navy to carry out responsibilities that the U.K. Government has thrust upon their navy. What would the British veterans who fought the Second World War think of that?
Those United Kingdom (U.K.) Governments instead of properly funding and maintaining the fighting strength of the armed forces have diverted much of the money that should have gone to the armed forces, and directed that money Instead to all sorts of socialist oriented benefit programs, some of which went to the large foreign origin African and Middle East Muslim population that the U.K. Government has allowed to silently invade the U.K. throughout the last decade or so illegally without effecting their deportations, a position that has encouraged and invited more such mass illegal immigration into the U.K.. It is said that the Labor Party that is currently the majority in power political power has been sucking up to that increasing foreign origin Muslim population in return for them becoming a Labor Party political constituency and of course their votes. In addition the U.K. high mucky-mucks have huge business and financial interests throughout Middle East Islamic countries and do not want the U.K. to be involved in a war against Muslims in general. Those facts have essentially politically neutered the U.K. as far as the U.K. openly being allied with the USA against Iran. Obviously the socialist oriented U.K. Government of today does not want the close Intelligence and military so-called “special relationship” with the USA to end, and after initially balking, are now quietly allowing the USA military to use British bases in the U.K. and abroad, to conduct military operations against Iran. So if the USA withdraws from NATO will that “special relationship” with the U.K. continue to be maintained? That remains to be seen!

Psychologists will explain what an enabler is. The US has been enabling the Euroweenies for 8 decades. We still have to be mindful of threats to America, (wake up Canada) just as the self important EU has to watch out for itself.

The UN and NATO member countries hardly put their people in danger by loaning us their airspace and their bases. Sure, Iran can send a vindictive missile or two their way but that is a constant danger regardless because Iranian leadership is insane. America did not hesitate to put thousands of our soldiers in grave danger through two world wars because it was the right thing to do and the Europeans seem to have forgotten that already. We, however would do it again. I believe the reason they hold back is because they fear the Muslims more than they fear Americans. That will turn out to be a huge mistake when their muslim populations turn on them and that will come sooner than they think.

I keep reading that the UK government keeps delaying..... delaying..... delaying... the next set of Elections, while I keep reading that the UK Population is getting more and more Angry about the course that the Government has taken.
Will they EVER have elections?
Meantime, the Government is making it Criminal Offense to express an Opinion that the Government does not like.
Can Candidates even express their views when running for office, or will that be considered a Criminal Offense?
When and IF they have elections, I wonder what will happen!
