Fresh Humiliation for SCOTUS Justice Sotomayor
As She Has to Apologize to Brett Kavanaugh
for Cheap Shot

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor is widely known as a liberal jurist who can reliably be expected to vote with her leftist colleagues, Justices Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson, on virtually every issue, as the three mostly march in lockstep. Ketanji Brown Jackson, in particular, seems to decide cases based on her own personal opinion, not relying too much on that pesky old Constitution. But now Sotomayor can add a new adjective to her profile: “obnoxious.” The Obama-appointed jurist took the unusual step of making a personal attack on a fellow justice, Brett Kavanaugh, at an appearance at the University of Kansas School of Law on April 7.

Democrats have one trait the sets them apart from conservatives. Every decision made by a democrats is based on emotion and not logic. You see, the mind of a democrat does not have the ability to process one logical thought. It's in their DNA. Take their treatment of President Trump. They hate him. Why, because he's not a politician. He's not one of them. They do not control him, they do not own him. So they hate him. It's all based on emotion. And their emotion is destroying our country. Got it.

When Does Speech Become Dangerous? 3 replies

Americans love arguing about free speech. We invoke the First Amendment as a kind of political force field: You can say whatever you want, whenever you want, without consequence. But the First Amendment only restricts government action. It does not guarantee you a career, a platform or immunity from backlash. The real question is not whether certain speech is legal but rather what kind of speech deserves social consequences — and what kind doesn't. And if we're talking about reckless political speech, we should talk about Jimmy Kimmel. Years ago, he abandoned comedy in favor of applause lines, tearful monologues and the occasional performance of empathy. He's an unfunny

Once again, a wannabe assassin has attempted to murder President Trump. This marks at least the fifth time that a person or group has tried to take Trump’s life since he became the Republican nominee for president in 2016. During this time period, a Democrat from Illinois tried to assassinate an entire baseball team of Republican lawmakers and nearly succeeded in killing House Majority Whip Steve Scalise. Antifa domestic terrorists — a paramilitary organization supporting the Democrat Party — have destroyed businesses and attacked numerous American citizens for their political beliefs. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) just dropped a new congressional map that could potentially hand Republicans four extra seats in the Sunshine State. The move comes just days after House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-8) made a trash-talking threat against any effort by the governor to redistrict his state. The proposed redistricting plan, unveiled on Monday, capitalizes on Florida’s massive population boom and Republican voter edge to carve out even stronger conservative districts. If approved by the GOP-controlled state legislature, the new maps would turn what was already a solid Republican advantage into a potential +4 powerhouse for the 2026 midterms.

The equality of man is found at the forefront of our Declaration of Independence and is considered an uncontested virtue of free society. However, disagreement over its implementation has raised the following questions: What exactly is equality in a state? Which things should be equal? Which should be unequal? What are the consequences? A nation’s concord depends on the answers — and yet today, these questions are rarely examined. Historically, this was not the case. In Aristotle’s exploration in Politics, equality is governed by justice — the principle that each is given his due. But exactly what is “due” depends

The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday struck down Louisiana's congressional map in Louisiana v. Callais, finding that the state's second majority-Black district violated the Equal Protection Clause. In the 6-3 decision, Justice Samuel Alito wrote the majority opinion, joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. The court held that the Voting Rights Act did not require Louisiana to draw a second majority-minority district. Without that requirement, the state had no compelling reason to use race in drawing its lines. SB8, enacted in 2024, created a District 6 stretching roughly 250 miles from Shreveport through Alexandria and Lafayette to Baton Rouge.

The Iranian government has ceased to exist. We don’t know, and the Iranians don’t know who holds power. There is the Islamic Revolutionary Guard. There is the theocracy, there is the elected people in Parliament, and there is a regular military. And those four groups operate in schizophrenic fashion. By the same token, sometimes they give off signals that they would like to negotiate because that is predicated on popular resistance.
