Six so-called “Republicans” voted Wednesday alongside Democrats to advance legislation that would extend Temporary Protected Status for Haitian migrants despite the Trump administration’s efforts to end the widely exploited program. Republican Reps. Don Bacon (Neb.), Brian Fitzpatrick (Penn.), Mike Lawler (N.Y.), Maria Elvira Salazar (Fla.), Carlos Gimenez (Fla.) and Nicole Malliotakis (N.Y.) voted alongside Democrats to pass Democrat Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley’s discharge petition that would extend TPS for Haitians until April of 2029.Rep. Veto the bill. There aren't enough votes to override the veto. Then primary the RINOs who voted for it. The Senate Republicans can always filibuster the bill if there are enough turncoats to otherwise pass it.

Mike Lawler of NY, one of these GOP backstabbers, is pushing this because his wife was an immigrant. He is also on the democrat bandwagon for the "Dignity Act" which gives immigrants all kind of rights in this country. I saw him on Laura Ingraham's show, and she raked him over the coals for being for it. He is not loyal to the voters or the GOP.

The wording of the TPS "Law" makes it clear...NO VENUE, no court, no legislature has any right to review, modify, or counter any Presidential decision that offers TPS or cancels/concludes or modifies it. The advancement vote failed to pass the House (200-220) collapsing the bill, which is not a bad outcome all things considered. House Republican leaders posted a compromise FISA amendment just before 11 p.m., and then called the House members to vote. The Amendment would have extended FISA (702) for five years and did include language that would have strengthened criminal penalties for misuse of the program, and some language that would have required warrants under certain circumstances.

The Democrat-led Ukraine impeachment effort of 2019 was linked to and a continuation of the Russiagate saga and of the failed effort by special counsel Robert Mueller to unearth criminality by President Donald Trump, newly-declassified documents and testimony indicate.
